2016 Honda FourTrax Foreman 4x4 Red (TRX500FM1), TRI-COUNTY POWERSPORTS WE WANT TO BE #1 - The ATV that gets the job done. You probably have a go-to person in your life?someone that you can count on in a pinch, the one you can count on when you need something done, done right, done now, and done without excuses. On the jobsite or the shop floor, it?s probably the shop foreman. And in the world of all-terrain vehicles that?s the Honda Foreman. The Honda FourTrax Foreman has long been the workhorse of the ATV world, the machine smart riders look to when big jobs or big adventures call. Strong, rugged, famously reliable and able to do it all, the Foreman is the boss of both ranch and trail. Its proven fuel injected 500-class engine offers excellent power and fuel efficiency. The strong chassis offers a long suspension stroke for better handling and a smoother ride, perfect for rough terrain. Find yourself in a less than ideal situation? The front differential lock will help maximize front-end power. And finally, all of these features are wrapped up in some tough, aggressively styled bodywork and color choices that further set Foreman apart from the competition. Important Safety Information: Recommended for riders 16 years of age and older. Honda recommends that all ATV riders take a training course and read their owner's manual thoroughly.

If you know Gammas, then you know how hard they are to find. Especially in basically stock unmolested condition. I purchased this bike from an estate sale. Previous owner was deceased so I couldn’t ask any questions! The bike was literally in pieces in boxes and tubs. And to make it more intriguing there were multiply motor parts in boxes. He must have acquired another motor and parts or something? But again I couldn’t ask. I like to think I am a pretty good at restoration and have great knowledge about the Gammas having owned over a dozen in my lifetime. People, who know me, know I have some of the most beautiful restored 2 strokes. I spent over 18 months doing a complete ground up restoration on the bike. The Gamma is all stock except for the steel braided brakes hose, wheels powder coated red to clean them up, silicone radiator hoses, and the air boxes and snorkel tubes removed and fitted with individual filters for much better performance. I can supply the stock air box parts, and brakes hoses if desired. I have taken pictures of various stages of the restoration process to show some of what was been done. All parts used were genuine Suzuki parts unless noted. No aftermarket stuff. Let start with the frame. The frame had been welded when I got it on the back cross bar section left and right under the seat. This was a common spot to bend in even a light crashes or tip over. Also on the fairing stay on the left front side was welded. That is hardly noticeable. The cross bar welding is hidden by the bodywork. Refer to pictures for details. Frame was sent and checked on a laser frame stand. Everything is straight and prefect. I also can verify this since everything bolt up easy and in line. Head bearings were replaced with pyramid bearings. All stainless cages. No plastic Both front and rear calibers were completely striped, rebuilt and powder coated. New pads installed Front and rear master cylinders rebuilt. Brake rotors checked and detailed. Front forks rebuilt. All new seal, bushings, oil, installed. They too were checked to be straight. New chain and sprockets. These are aftermarket. Swingarm bearings repacked All new wheel bearings New throttle, choke, and clutch cables. All black fairing stays in front and rear black pipe stay, kick stand, top and lower triple clamp powder coated. Lots of powder coating. Tons of new nuts and bolts used to clean up the bike. Engine: Everything in the motor was checked and reassembled Cranks rebuilt with new big ends and seals. Trued. New pistons and rings. Fresh hone. Pistons are genuine Suzuki parts 1.00mm over. New clutch plates and springs Update Suzuki tranny gears. New water pump seals Exhaust pipes cleaned and painted. Rear lower silencers are in good condition. Carburetor rebuilt with new gaskets and needle seats Oil check valves installed for the injection. This is done to keep 2 stroke oil from seeping into the engine while seating. I put them on almost all my 2 strokes. New 2 stroke oil lines installed. Every seal and gasket on the motor was replaced, again all using Suzuki parts. Motor has only 100 miles currently on it since rebuilt. Speedo shows total of about 8,800KM or 5,400 miles give or take. It starts up on a few kicks and is still needs some break in. Motor sounds real nice. All lights, turn signals, brake lights, gauges, and switches work properly. The bodywork on the bike would be the only somewhat negative item. I was going to spend the $2,500 to have in professionally painted and decaled. That would have probably added more than that into the price making it look like a creampuff. However I decided to sell it for less by not painting it and let the new owner decide what to do. Please refer to pictures for greater detail. The front nose fairing is a very good condition. A black Japanese model fairing fixed with integrated turn signals. Windscreen is OK. Not great. Tank is clean inside but does have a couple very small dings and a couple small chips. Nothing major. The side fairing panels are not too bad but I can tell they have been previously repainted but match perfectly. The belly pan is new unpainted fiberglass that I installed. No belly came with it. As we all know Gamma belly pans did not last. Fiberglass ones are much better. The side panels that say “RG500” are in pretty good condition. The tail piece is probably the worst piece as it has some cracks and rash. Bike does have good seat cowl. This bike does have a California title with current registration. However the motor number does not match the title. I have the case that matches (does not come with the bike), but I used another case much nicer case instead. Frame number is perfect. There was so much I did to this Gamma I am sure I left something off. Please feel free ask questions. Can E-Mail additional pictures. The bike is sold without any warranty or guaranties. I have disclosure all I know about this vehicle. Buyer assumes any risk of purchase. Any crating, shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will assist if possible. Also available to visit and examined. Bike located in Southern California. Test rides only allowed with full cash deposit in hand. Had a bad experience with this once. Only cash or certified cashier’s check from US bank accepted. Funds must be cleared to accept delivery. Feel free to call me at 714-469-6254 days only. Phone does not accept block or unknown numbers.

I am selling this to raise money to help my mom with funeral and living expenses, my father just passed away very inexpertly. Motorcycle Consumer news: There may never be another motorcycle quite like Yamaha's FJ1200, and our survey indicates there are many happy owners who will miss it. Fortunately, there are many FJs still around from the ten years Yamaha sold it in the U.S. It has proven to be a durable, long-lasting mount that serves its rider well for many miles with proper care. When it arrived on the scene in 1984 as the FJ1100, it was already among the last of a breed: The air-cooled, large displacement inline-four. It was countered that year by Honda's V65 Sabre. The Honda offered a smoother engine, water-cooling, shaft drive and, perhaps most importantly, a price tag nearly 10% lower. Things didn't get any better for Yamaha a year later when Honda lowered the Sabre's list price even further, and Yamaha just managed to maintain the line on the FJ. But in 1986, Yamaha punched out the engine to 1200cc and had the market to itself when Honda dropped the big Sabre. The only competition then was Kawasaki's more touring-oriented Concours and Suzuki's bare-bike GS1100. With air cooling and chain final drive, the big Yamaha would soldier on as the most simple and basic design for a sport-touring bike that still lent itself well to multiple tasks. Except for a hiatus in 1988, when the entire motorcycle market was in its most severe doldrums, Yamaha kept the FJ1200 around largely unchanged through 1994 (when it tested the market with the super-high tech, but short-lived GTS1000). Judging by the response from MCN's ownership survey, there is still some demand for a bike like the FJ1200, but the era of such a low-tech sport-tourer may be permanently over. The closest thing now coming to market will be Suzuki's 1200 Bandit, a motorcycle already finding limited success in the European market. What do owners like best about their FJs? That big powerplant is the number-one reason given for ownership. Nearly 72% of owners love the overpowering mid-range torque of that monster engine. This is the kind of real-world power that allows a rider to carry ample luggage and a passenger, then set out for many miles of effortless cruising. With gobs of reserve power, the engine never feels stressed out under load. Next most popular on the list of positive features is the styling. Most people buy motorcycles because they like the way they look, and the FJ lasted a decade nearly unchanged. It has much of the grace of a pure sportbike with a low, forward leaning appearance. The pipes have an upsweep to continue the sporty theme, yet are low enough for sizable throw-over saddlebags. Graphics never got too wild: Yamaha stayed with simple, clean lines to accent an inherent aggressiveness. There's virtually no chrome on a bike that dates to when shiny glitter was the private domain of cruisers and juggernaut luxo-tourers. Judging by the MCN survey, Yamaha has a very happy ownership contingent among its FJ buyers. The overwhelmingly popular rating by owners was "excellent," that response checked off by over 70% of respondents. Only a single respondent checked "good," another unhappy owner checked "poor" and the remaining 29 percent checked "very good." This is obviously a bike that satisfies customers.

Up for sale is my 1986 Honda XL600R. I completely rebuilt this bike during the winter of 2012-2013 (about 1.5 years ago) and built as an adventure-touring motorcycle. At that time I also completely re-did the color scheme, changing it from red/white to what you see now, white/blue/orange. I have listed the mileage as 1200, because that is the miles I've put on the bike since the rebuild. The mileage showing on the odometer is 30,388, and the odometer works so I believe that is correct for the chassis. I went through ALMOST everything on the bike and either refreshed it or replaced it. I am a professional machinist and metal fabricator and, with the exception of the engine top end work, I did all the work myself. In this listing, when I say something is "new" that means it was purchased brand new during the rebuild. FRAME:The bike was stripped down to the frame and the frame was sandblasted. After sandblasting the rear subframe was reinforced to be able to carry extra weight (panniers, top case, extra fuel, etc.). The main cross brace across the top of the rear subframe (the brace which holds the seat) was replaced with 3/16" steel (the original was much less stout, probably .065" thick). Mounting bosses were also welded to the bottom rear of the main frame cradle to make mounting a center stand easier at some point in the future. Flanges were welded to the rear subframe to accept passenger footpegs in the future, and also to provide a place for the luggage racks to be supported. After all that was done, the frame was painted white. ENGINE / FUEL: The top end was re-done with a Wiseco 101mm high compression piston and re-bore to boot. A professional valve job was also done at that time. New cam-chain fitted. The stock carburetors were rebuilt with OEM Honda rebuild kits. The small cast aluminum arms which hold the carburetors together had broken so I fabricated stainless arms which now hold them together; they are stronger than stock. Throttle control cables (as well as all the other cables) were lubed. Fuel petcock disassembled and cleaned. Carbs are jetted for high altitude but I will include a few other jets to play around with. An oil cooler with custom-machined aluminum rock-guard was fitted, and is partially plumbed with aluminum hard-line and AN fittings. Period correct (!) Supertrapp muffler. Headers wrapped with fiberglass header wrap. SUSPENSION: The suspension is all stock. Front fork seals are new. Blue fork boots are new. ELECTRICAL: The CDI unit and the ignition coil are new replacements. The stator is a brand-new (this year) Ricky Stator. Ricky Stator stators are the top-of-the-line replacement units for the XL600R. New battery. All other electrical components are stock and performing well. LIGHTING: The front headlight has been replaced with a pair of 6" round lights. Night-time lighting is excellent. All turn signals, gauge lighting, dash indicator lights, tail lights, and brake lights function properly. BODY: This is where I did most of the custom work. The original fuel tank was painted in the new white/blue/orange color scheme. It is in good shape; there is one small dent on the front right side, a bit smaller than a dime. There is one paint chip on the right side at the edge of the seat. The original seat was reupholstered to match the tank in the same color scheme. The side panels, which were originally white, were re-painted white and 3M blue and orange adhesive sticker sheet material was applied. The white paint is scraping off the side panels in some areas but it's not too noticeable, as the plastic underneath is also white. The rear fender is blue and was originally from a Kawasaki KDX250, and has in integrated tail light. The front fender is from a BMW R100GS, painted white (originally black). Like most BMW stuff it is high quality, and does not buffet around in the wind. The front fairing, which houses the twin headlights, is custom fabricated aluminum. It is painted white and has the same blue/orange 3M sticker material as the side panels. The fairing also carries a short windshield, which is great on the highway. HANDLEBAR AREA: Handlebars are aftermarket Renthal aluminum bars. Grips are black Scott brand. Brushguards (barkbusters) are white plastic without aluminum reinforcements (I have been told the aluminum ones can bend and pinch your hand in a serious crash, plastic is preferable). Bars are mounted on Rox Risers vibration-dampening bar risers, a very nice item. Garmin GPS unit is mounted on handlebars in a custom machined mount which features a power switch (in case you want the GPS off), a USB port (for charging your phone or whatever) and a sun-shade (to reduce glare on the GPS) The stock speedometer is functioning, although a bit jumpy. It is, however, mostly blocked by the GPS, which is no big deal because the GPS has a more accurate speedometer on it anyway. Steering bearings were re-packed with grease. KLR mirrors. BRAKES: A good used front rotor was fitted and is in good shape; its got years of hard use still left. New front brake pads and new rear brake shoes were fitted. Brake fluid in the front brake system was flushed and replaced. TIRES/WHEELS: The wheels were sandblasted and then painted partially orange to match the bike color scheme. Wheel bearings are all new. Tires front and rear are Heidenau K60 Scout, with probably about 1000 miles on them (in other words they are very close to new and have tons of tread left). Tubes were replaced at the time of the new tires. PANNIERS/RACK: I custom designed and fabricated the pannier system, which uses Pelican 1500 cases on both sides. The pannier mounting system is integrated with the rear rack and is entirely fabricated from stainless steel tubing (and small amounts of plate). The goals for the pannier system were that it should be very easy and quick to mount and unmount the bags, and also that the frames should be visually unobtrusive. To that end I made the pannier frames in the shape of an L, as opposed to the more normal rectangle seen on most aftermarket pannier systems. There is also no cross-member that goes across the rear of the bike. In my opinion, those are measures that aftermarket companies take when designing these pannier systems which are intended to make installation easy and "universal", but they don't look good. I really tried to make this system better and I think I succeeded. The bags go onto the bike in about 20 seconds each and come off in 10 seconds. The Pelican cases are, of course, lightweight, crush-proof, and water-proof. The pannier racks are also easily removable, while leaving the rear rack in place. OTHER: Chain is new O-ring. Front fork brace is custom made by me. Air filter is new UNI (the best). There is a custom-made aluminum "tool tube" mounted below the headlights for carrying a tool kit. Fresh oil change ("fresh', as in: this week) Also has XRs Only oil temperature dipstick... nice! This bike was a lot of fun to build and a lot of fun to ride. I took it on one trip up into Colorado and it performed superbly. It was even a little bit faster on the pavement than the KLRs in my group! It has never been dropped or crashed. Bike starts on the first or second kick once you get the hang of the technique. There are videos on youtube which talk about how to kickstart an XL600R. An injury to my right heel has forced me to find a bike with an electric start and that is the reason I'm selling this bike. I am leaving the country for about a month on June 19th, so I will only be listing this bike once before then. It would be best for the new owner to arrange the shipping quickly after the auction is over, although I do have a good friend house-sitting while I am gone and he can help get the bike loaded if need be. eBay has a promotion going on right now which offers $399.00 flat-rate shipping on used motorcycles, which sounds like a pretty good deal to me! Please let me know if you have any questions.. and thanks for looking!
