Hi I am Cory Ponzo 27 Year old Musician Mechanic in Sacramento area. I am Using this Ebay account after many years of not using it. I know ebay inside and out and the best way to a successful business is a happy customer. I want you to be happy actually I depend on it. So If you buy an Item Please Contact me asap for any reason If you are UN-happy. I will do everything I can! I sell many Items and cannot be an expert at everything but I am Knowledgeable so feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to help. PLEASE LEAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK ASAP! And contact me before leaving bad or neutral feedback so we can work out a solution and get you HAPPY AND SATISFIED ;) E I got this bike a few weeks ago I have always been a fan of the big bore two strokes. Now is not the best time for me to restore another bike so I will be passing it on. I have not ridden it much the bike but it does run. Ton of compression. Nearly kicks you off of it. I can get it to fire usually within 5 kicks. It will idle and run but after about 30 seconds it will climb rpm as if it is running out of gas and leaning out. The intake boot has many cracks in it and been covered with glue. It is obviously sucking in air here and the boot needs to be replaced. I rode it once around the block and 1st gear popped out. I am not sure if I just didn't kick it into gear all the way and I noticed the shifter hits the frame on the down shift. I stopped the bike and well dont want a KX500 under neath my legs as the rpm take off. If I get a chance to get a new boot I will test out the transmission some more. I prefer to disclose everything I know about the bike. Its a KX500 and a in the mid 80s one the of the fastest bikes up to 80mph period. I will say it does scare me much more then my RD :) I am sure you can just do a once over and take it out. But it will need some welding on the exhaust hanger, one time it has been welded and re broke. The kick starter has been welded on for a temorary fix and works but could be replaced. Missing the chain slide and it has damaged the swing-arm. See picture. It will need new plastics. The shocks need minimum a set up, or rebuild. It has one large dent on bottom of the frame. Seat torn, plastics are shot. One rim has been replaced with a aftermarket exel rim. Has Pro-taper bars and clamps. Tires have tread but not new. Brake lever broke. The intake boot is dry cracked and trash. Other then that its a big bad bike. I have a clean CA Duplicate title I got from the seller of the bike I do not have a bill of sale from the seller. I will write you a bill of sale from me to you. Just to be clear the title is not in my name. I may not sell the bike so if you want an 86 then get your guns out. Thank you. I hope I didn't leave anything out so please ask any question.

1985 Kawasaki Kx 250, OK, I have decided that I need to sell my 1985 KX250. I think it needs to find a new home in someones garage who will enjoy her and not just let her sit. 1985 KX250 with a 1986 motor. Frame SN# JKAKXMD16GA004664 Motor SN# KX250DE004731 The good and the bad... Fresh rear brake pads with only about 10 minutes of use Rechromed shaft on rear shock and rebuilt shock (this was not cheap) Freshly installed used rear disc Replaced non functioning front brake setup with a working setup Replaced head gasket Replaced petcock valve New air filter element Brand new tires and tubes...nipples are still there Folding shift lever Replaced bent up rear brake lever New front brake lever New kick start lever Used expansion chamber and silencer New front chain guard Replaced cracking airboot with a good one Replaced severely damage rear chain guide New flat side carb 80 PSI compression cold with fuel turned off and carb drained I do have an extra foot peg for it. I do not have a title but am willing to go apply for replacement title Seat is a little beat up Seems to leak a little coolant from around coolant hoses. Hoses look good so I think I might have over tightened the clamps Bracket on the rear left cover needs re-welded to the frame Someone sealed air holes on the lid to the airbox. I unsealed them and installed little round UNI filters to pre-filter the air going in. Comes with everything pictured. The carbs include the original carb and some parts carbs. The top end gasket set is missing the head gasket as it has been installed. I originally bought the bike to chase the kids on their little bikes but don't find much time to ride so I really don't have any use for the bike but I don't need to sell it either. I am not interested in any trades as I already have all the toys I want, and then some. Re-chroming the shaft on the rear shock and rebuilding the shock came in somewhere in the neighborhood of $500. I didn't see the peeling chrome when I bought the bike. Counting only the rear shock, new tires/tubes and the new carb comes to over $ 1,000. I am located in Davenport, Iowa. I have tried to include everything that I could think of. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. I did a VIN check today and it did come back clean. I am also checking with the local police to verify this. I will be happy to apply for replacement title. I would like to ask $ 1,050 for the bike but will be open to reasonable offers. If I don't get any interest in purchasing the bike then I will be open to parting her out. Will be happy to e-mail more pictures. Can also be seen at s:// /groups/162914207237521/?fref=nf $1,050.00
