1990 ZX7 Vintage Sport Bike. I bought this bike because the customer bought a new bike in the middle of having this one serviced. This bike has Brand new Dunlop Q3, Brand new DID chain and brand new Sunstar front and rear sprockets. Brake and clutch fluid were just flushed and changed and engine oil and filter were just changed. The last service on this bike was close to $1000 and the bike has not been ridden since except for a typical road test by technician. It has been stored on a battery tender in a climate controlled environment. In the last 2 years this bike has had: New Brake Pads ( Front and Rear done 2000 miles ago still look new)Fork Seals and Fork OilBrand New Hagon Rear Shock with hydraulic Preload Adjuster ($900)Valve Check and AdjustmentCarbs disassembled and cleaned in Ultrasound TankNew GripsNew WindscreenNew rear Directionals (Small LED)New Fuel Petcock and Fuel LinesNew Air FilterNew BatterySeveral oil and filter changesCoolant change/flush Customer bought the bike from Midwest and shipped it to me to go thru. He has owned it for almost 3 years and put 6,000 miles on it. It had been maintained regularly with top quality parts. When he was doing a big service recently including the tires, chain, sprocket, oil/filet and brake/clutch flush bleed he bought a new bike and decided to sell this bike to me because he did not want to keep 2 bikes because of limited space. The bike starts, runs and idles perfectly. There is no smoke and the motor has great compression, all cylinders in 3% of each other. We did a major service on the bike when he first acquired it and he has done more than the recommended service on it during his ownership. Oil was changed every 2000 miles for instance. This is a 20 year old bike and you have to understand that it does have its issues which are strictly cosmetic. The bodywork has some scratches and small cracks and the typical breaks around the fastening areas but nothing majorly broken. It is all the same color and certainly has been painted. I do not know if it is original or aftermarket body work as im not well versed with older japanese bikes. The paint is very good and looks to have been professionally done, meaning no peeling or orange peel and no dirt or debris in the paint. For an older sport bike its pretty good over all. These bikes tend to be in collector grade condition or come in boxes and pieces after having been completely taken apart 10 years ago by a well meaning kid who thought he was going to fix/restore it. So for a running well maintained and reliable bike with a lot of new parts and very good service history this is good find for someone who does not want to pay $10,000 for a mint one. If you have any questions please contact me before purchase and the bike is available for inspection locally if needed. I will help with shipping in any way I can but the shipping cost is the responsibility of the buyer. This bike is being sold as is with no expressed warranty. $500 deposit required within 24 hours and full payment due within 72 hours of auction end. I can store bike for 2 weeks at no charge while shipping/transportation is being arranged. After 14 days from auction end I have the right to charge a daily storage fee until the bike is picked up. Im a reasonable person and as long as you are making an effort to get the bike the fee will not apply. For instance if you contact a shipper 3 days after the auction and they say they will get the bike in 10 days but dont come for 3 weeks, i will not charge a fee because you did your part in arranging the shipping in a timely fashion and you can not control the shipper flaking out and coming a week late. I get that, but if you simply pay for the bike and make no attempt to get the bike or have it picked up I will charge to keep the bike safe in a heated shop and hooked up to a battery tender ( as it is right now). Thank you and good luck!!!!!!!
