PLEASE NOTE: I took a video of me running this bike around the block. I also ran it down the highway to check out all gears and stability, but the wind made that video extremely unstable and unusable. Please go to youtube and type in my user name: suicycleschopshop . You will see the video. Not how smooth and quiet she runs, with all its power. I didnt even hit the gas hard (respect for my neighborhood) so it has way more power then the video can show ya. LOCATION: Antigo, WI zip code 54409. Excellent running 1983 Goldwing loaded with just about as much chrome as I think you can put on one of these bikes. Clear title in hand. Starts and runs just beautifully.Previous owner (an older man who had owned it since 1991) informed me, it has a coolant leak up front that he believed was the radiator. After running it for a while, I saw the bottom of the radiator is wet. Im no licensed mechanic, so hold no guarantees, but thats what I saw. And if it is, radiators for these are cheap on ebay. Also, the oil is clean, so it is an external leak (should be easy to fix). It was repainted at one point as the old paint was faded out. The paint job is not perfect. Id call it a 10 footer (from ten feet looks just great but up close you see the paint imperfections). Also, the only thing I noticed that doesnt work is the radio. I know nothing about these things, so your on your own with that one ! Most of the chrome is beautiful, just needs a little polishing here and there. Some of it a little faded from age, still looks nice. Front tire has tons of tread, rear should be replaced soon. All brakes , signals, lights, etc, work perfectly. I do have the front lower fairings and the radiator chrome grill. They were removed to look for the coolant leak (shown in the last picture). There is a non-refundable deposit of $200. If you do not follow through with full payment within 3 days, you forfeit that deposit and the bike will be relisted. I have been burned on too many bikes, and will no longer tolerate this. Sorry but I have to weed out the day dreamers. Please feel free to email me with your number if you want to discuss the bike over the phone. BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING/PICKUP ARRANGEMENTS AND COSTS. In other words, you send the truck, ill be here for them to load it. I recomend uship.com or 1-800-haulbikes. 1991 Honda Gold Wing 1500I, Gold Wing 1500I Anniversary Edition - The Honda GL1500 Goldwing was announced for the 1988 model year. It's arrival came at a time when Kawasaki's Voyager, Suzuki's Cavalcade and the Yamaha Venture Royale had started to challenge the GL1200 Goldwing. Unfortunately, these challengers, while being great machines in their own way, concentrated on adding more in the way of luxuries to their machines and had they attended to the real needs of a touring bike, such as reducing weight and improving handling, there is no doubt that they would have been a real threat to the Honda flagship. Nonetheless, by 1987 the touring market was decidedly crowded and Honda had been working on the next Goldwing for a few years. The result of their efforts was an astounding machine that looked, handled and felt light years ahead of any touring motorcycle to date, period. Younger riders looking at the GL1500 twelve years later cannot really appreciate it's impact when it arrived. This monster had a silky smooth six-cylinder engine that pulled like a train, a reverse gear and it's appearance was years ahead of it's time with a design that in spite of being the heaviest Wing to date, actually felt lighter and did the job a lot better than before. Such was the impact that the GL1500 had on the opposition that it ruled almost unopposed for more or less it's whole production life, in spite of receiving few real improvements over the years. 1991 Once again, the Gold Wing counts three members in its extended family, with the SE joined by Aspencade and Interstate models. The SE remains largely unchanged for '91 save for new two-tone gold paint, and the Aspencade takes on the role of the previous standard-model GL1500. The new model, the Interstate, features a redesigned seat for an 0.8-inch-lower saddle height, and 40 pounds less weight for a sportier, more maneuverable feel.
