1997 Kawasaki Kz 1000 POLICE, Was an Indiana state police bike. Super, super low mileage, barely broken in. Runs strong and looks great. Always gets a lot of attention. An extremely safe bike to ride. Front wigwags and strobes, and rear strobes all work off of the pursuit switch. If you've been looking at police Kawasakis, you'll know what a deal this is. 1997 KZ1000P Kawasaki Police Motorcycle for sale with only 37,523 miles. Runs strong and smooth. This CHIPS classic style will clear your path as drivers pull over to let you pass. Low miles on Dunlop tires and front and rear sprocket geared for highway with a 15 front and 39 tooth rear, and 630 heavy duty chain. 2000 miles on brakes.Seat was re-upholstered and plexiglass windshield was wet sanded and polished. Fresh oil and filter. New shifter pads, gel battery, and misc. parts. This bike starts right up and is a strong sprinter. The new gearing helps on the highway cruising speed and increases mpg. Overall the bike is in excellent condition with a few dings and scratches. The front fender has a crack as can be seen in the photos. The saddle bags have a few latches that don't work. Light oil seepage from valve cover which is common for these bikes. One faring pouch is missing when I purchased the bike. Can still get parts from Kawasaki Dealers.Gas tank has no dents. Runs on premium fuel at 40+ mpgHas the rare Motorola radio box which locks and original siren electronics are intact. Actual Siren was boxed in recent move and am still searching for it....Will ship to buyer at my expense if I don't find it before the sale. Has clear lights installed where pursuit lights were.Bike was from Porterville, CA PD and I am the second civilian owner. Clear title in hand and tagged until March 2015.Priced to move at $2200.
