This bike is beautiful. It is a boulevard cruiser or a cross country tourer. Includes a Saddleman saddle, Original front and rear seat, OEM studded front seat, Short windscreen and touring windscreen, leather tank cover, Cobra six pipes plus OEM pipes. Lot of chrome and tastefully farkled. The Brake Away Throttle Lock is the best I've ever seen. I am the third owner. The bike had 3,618 miles when I bought it. It now has 7,900 miles (I'm still riding it). The carbs have been recently tuned. All fluids were recently changed. It runs strong, starts easily and sounds great. It idles like a Chevy V-8 and screams like a F-1 car if you get on it. This is a beautiful example of a classic cruiser. You will draw a lot of attention and turn heads. That is the word that best defines Honda's Valkyrie flagship cruiser. Painstaking refinement that crafts wide-spectrum motorcycles is a Honda hallmark, but the Valkyrie is exceptionally versatile. Although its roots in the full-boat Gold Wing tourer lead many to anticipate a bloated, cumbersome motorcycle, the Valkyrie belies its size. It handles more nimbly yet more steadily than most other brands' cruiser-line leaders, but it retains the comfort and stateliness of the full-dress motorcycle out on the open road. The Valkyrie's claim on power-cruiser status is almost as much visual as it is mechanical. The big, liquid-cooled, opposed-six bulging from the engine room isn't designed to flow with the cruiser mainstream, but it isn't intended to be ignored, either. As with any good hot rod, the engine is the centerpiece of the machine. Six cylinders, six chrome-capped carbs, and six headers heading for two pipes sharing six outlets make sure no one but the absolutely uninitiated will mistake this for another me-too V-twin. (An aside: Every Valkyrie we have tested has brought at least one query of "Is that a Harley?" Onlookers haven't a clue what they are viewing, but they've been told Harleys have big impressive engines and this machine definitely fits the bill.)Knowledgeable types look at all the hardware serving the engine and know it's not just for show. The power hungry begin to salivate. Horsepower is definitely on the menu. It's not quite as hard-hitting as the explosive motivation of the V-Max, but you can easily light up the rear tire coming away from a stop if you get aggressive with the throttle and clutch. Power delivery is also more linear than the Yamaha, without the surge of V-Boost to keep you awake as the tach needle swings toward redline.Although it's hardly what you'd call pokey, Honda's six won't hurtle you through a quarter-mile in less than eleven seconds the way the V-Max can. In fact, recent Valkyrie test motorcycles make noticeably less power than first-year versions. These days, you have to be pretty sharp to launch the Valkyrie hard enough to get it down the quarter-mile in less than 13 seconds. Honda says nothing has changed, but dynos and seats of pants say otherwise.Even if the motor has lost some of its edge up top, it still makes great power from below 2000 rpm right up to the 6500 redline. Carburetion is precise and responsive, and uninterrupted by abruptness or flat spots. You can burble around town with minimum slippage from the light, smooth clutch with the throttle barely cracked; plenty of acceleration is just a twist away. And, you know it's smooth. The horizontal design cancels vibration before it gets started. Counterrotating components, such as the alternator, prevent any torque reaction when the throttle is blipped. The engine's exhaust note definitely speaks of performance; not the low-key, lots-of-sound-little-fury cadence of a big twin but the quick-revving, hard-running rhythm of a high-performance engine. The engine mates to an equally flawless drivetrain. The clutch is light and, unless flogged long and hard, smooth in take-up. The five-speed shifts smoothly and there is no lash as power makes its way through the final drive shaft. The Valkyrie is long. That 66.5-inch wheelbase means additional mass, which slows it down. The length stifles wheelies too. But it also makes more room for rider and passenger. In comparison with the Valkyrie, the V-Max feels almost cramped. The saddle is long and wide, and stays comfortable for many hours on the road. Passengers like it too. Some riders complain about the footpeg location, and if it doesn't suit you, you can't do much except add highway pegs. The placement of the engine means you can't move the pegs forward. The handlebar is slightly high and wide for long stints at highway speeds, but a windshield remedies this comfort flaw. With that addition, the Valkyrie makes a great tourer and Honda has, in fact, derived two traveling machines from this starting point. The Tourer is the same machine with windshield and hard bags added, and the new Interstate gets more extensive mods in addition to its luggage, stereo and windshield.Perhaps the biggest surprise is how well this giant of a machine handles. Few cruisers can keep pace on a twisty road. Carefully selected steering geometry makes the steering responsive without compromising stability, and the suspension is topnotch. It even has generous cornering clearance. This all comes together in a package that is quite a bit of fun to ride when the road begins to throw turns at you. Although the reach to the ground is longer than the distance of some other big bikes, the Valkyrie is easy to handle at low speeds where you are barely balanced. Braking keeps up with the weight and speed of the bike, providing superior power and control. Two flaws, in the eyes of some potential buyers, are the unique style of the engine and the cobby appearance of some components in the engine bay. We were also sorry that our big, bad musclebike came in black over a sort of pale pink that looked like it had been lifted from some dorky early '80s luxury car. It makes this hot rod look like it's trying to be a family sedan.Although it's included in this Power Cruiser section because of its musclebike status, the Valkyrie's all-around excellence has already distinguished it in other venues. A year ago it grabbed the lion's share of votes when we compared the flagship cruiser models of eight manufacturers. The Tourer model has twice been the favorite when we compared it with other baggers. No matter what you ask it to do, the Valkyrie quickly makes its way to the front of the pack. That's balance.

Some bikes just feel right from the first ride, and the '98 Valkyrie Tourer is such a motorcycle. From the moment you sit on the comfortable wide seat, place your feet on the large rubber covered pegs it's love at first ride. The bike will cruise around town effortlessly, as the long low chassis with it's very comfortable seating position just feels natural. The first time you twist the throttle and pump large quantities of fuel to the 1520cc liquid-cooled horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine you'll more than likely giggle as we did. The engine pulls everywhere but hits even stronger from 3,500 RPM up to the rev limiter which kicks in at about 7,500 rpm. What could be better than a civil and comfortable cruiser with enough power to rip your arms off - or to flat track across a dry lake as in Honda's TV commercial. Built around a pumped up Gold Wing engine, the Valkyrie certainly carries it's own special character. The large displacement engine is fed by six separate 28mm CV carbs, the cam timing is more radical, redline is higher, and the cruiser uses a more free flowing six-into-six exhaust system which produces an exhaust note all its own. Valve adjustment is by screw and lock-nut adjusters, camshafts are belt driven and the alternator pumps out a whopping 546 watts. The Touring model adds a full-size windshield and saddlebags over the standard model. The most memorable aspect of this bike, aside from its stump pulling power, is how this unique package blends so well to produce an extremely competent motorcycle. Though it takes more steering input than say a standard motorcycle, handling is sharp and rather quick for a bike of this size. The bike is nimble in most parking lot situations as well as extremely competent, stable, and balanced on the highway. The windshield is one of the best we've ridden behind - bar none. There's no visible distortion, and it doesn't cause any noticeable swirling of the air like with some full screens. After numerous careful washings, the windscreen held up well with no noticeable scratches appearing. This windscreen provides very good protection from the elemants. In fact, you could travel just about anywhere with a pair of riding pants, winter gloves and an electric vest.

This is truly a one of a kind bike that I am listing for a friend! Excellent condition with only 19,890 miles! Custom paint color and several other additions (chrome, beetle bags, custom heel-toe shifter, etc). There are absolutely NO dents, dings, chips, etc. The paint is as perfect as new. He has added several pieces of chrome (horn cover, yoke cover, foot rests for driver and passenger, foot pegs, etc.) He had the paint customized and painted the side covers (originally all yellow) to match the design of the remainder of the bike. He also added a driver’s back rest and beetle bags for that 'Interstate' look. These are hard bags and as the pictures show are custom painted to match the overall color scheme. He replaced the standard shifter with a custom made heel-toe shifter. Bike has never been in an accident. The engine is in excellent condition and starts and runs great and will cruise faster than you want to ride. Matching helmet and cover goes with the bike. As he said - " I am selling ( this best bike I have ever owned ) because, frankly, I am just too old to be riding/driving a bike. I just bought a beautiful trike so I can keep biking for several more years and am ready now to let the two wheeler go". Clear title is in hand. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I am unable to provide a warranty of any kind but I assure you this bike is nearly perfect and if you are looking for a Valkrie that has been meticulously maintained and constantly pampered, this bike is for you! Sorry, I can not ship the bike but would be happy to help coordinate with your shipper anyway I can. Buyer is required to put a small deposit of $500 via PayPal within 48 hours and please try to pick up the bike within 30 days. Thanks for looking !

The Best of Both Worlds. The CBR®500R is the sporty member of that family, with bodywork inspired by our CBR®600RR and CBR®1000RR Supersports. Plus, for 2016, it’s full of improvements, keeping it even further out front. A new muffler both improves mass centralization and sounds even cooler. You get improved gear-shift feel, along with a new adjustable brake lever, and a hinged fuel cap for added convenience. And then there’s that spectacular twin-cylinder engine: displacing 471cc, it delivers smooth power from idle to redline. Twins offer notoriously broad powerbands, and the CBR500R is no exception. Chassis? Tuned especially for sport riding, the steel-tube frame and Honda Pro-Link® rear suspension let you carve corners with confidence, now featuring adjustable fork preload and new shock settings. And the available triple-disc anti-lock brakes feature a new adjustable brake lever this year. A perfect choice for new riders, returning riders, or anyone who appreciates a great do-it-all streetbike, the CBR500R is also an affordable choice. Best of all, it’s a bike you won’t outgrow for a long, long time - if ever.

Offered for sale is my highly customized Honda Valkyrie Tourer motorcycle. This exceptional bike has been a dear friend and trusty companion and needs a new owner able to handle this big beast. Warning - this is NOT a motorcycle for new or inexperienced riders. She is a BIG GIRL and is essentially a high performance car engine in a motorcycle frame. With over 100 hp and over 100 ft/lbs of torque, this bike can handle all your gear plus a passenger and easily do 500+ comfortable miles a day - if you're up to it. This is one of the first model year Valkyrie Tourer models from Honda outfitted with hard bags and a windshield. The original owner spared no expense in upgrading and customizing her with Dupont color-shifting paint, Cobra chrome throughout, custom Corbin seats, Two Brothers racing exhaust and much more. She has been garage kept, ridden only a few times every year and lovingly maintained. With only 32k miles on the clock, she is ready for a new owner who will ride her well. I am selling only because I am switching over to sailboats and I'm guessing she doesn't float well (not that I've tried).
