This isn't some clapped out 250 that other people would post and claim it rips. I've had the bike since 2002 when I purchased it from a person that got a 250 sized dirtbike and then realized it was way too much power for their skill level. Ive had it since then. This bike is in fantastic shape for an older bike. This was my trackbike before I moved up to a CRF450r years ago. I use it occasionally to ride around the yard or over to the neighbors house. Id love to hang onto it, however it’s time to clean up the garage and sell it. This is the last year HONDA had a Mechanical Powervalve on its 250 2-stroke. Bike has been rebuilt; Synthetic Grease in all pivots, Re-Nickasil bore, Wiseco Piston, 22mm Power valve upgrade, upgraded reeds, FMF Fatty pipe out to an FMF silencer, Front wave rotor. Clutch pull is butter smooth and I mean BUTTER SMOOTH... I cannot stand a hard clutch pull when I ride so I take meticulous care to lubricate the clutch pull so I can get one finger on it. You will be amazed with the clutch pull on this bike I guarantee it. The bike does NOT HAVE A TITLE. This bike is NOT STOLEN. The bike is also not Flood or Water damaged. I only clicked that in the add because I had to for ebay listing. The VIN is Clearly stamped and marked not scratched off or anything weird. That said I can assure you the bike is mine and is not stolen or anything shady going on. I will explain the circumstances which led to me losing the physical title to the perspective buyer but I am not going to tell my story on ebay about a bike with no title. We will sign a Bill of sale, make cash transaction and that will be it. Again there is NO TITLE FOR THIS BIKE. Negotiable item include: Tires, Helmet, Goggles, Gloves, Jersey, Pants, and Boots that would fit a 6’1” 195lb person to ride with. For sale is a 2001 Honda CR 250 in excellent condition. I've had this bike a five years now and during that time have rebuilt or replaced just about everything. It's setup for Hare Scramble and Enduro riding or just having fun in the woods.  The motor was completely rebuilt and has only 10 hours on it now, see the hour meter photo. Included in the rebuild were a new crank and main bearings, new piston and rings, the cylinder was replated, new clutch plates, kick starter lever, and all seals were replaced. The bike has just about every goodie you can get: JD Jetting kit, oversize tank, skid plate, Moose Racing triple clamps, Fat Bars, unbreakable AVS levers, Pro Circuit Pipe, FMF Turbine Core W/ spark arrestor, new plastics, new tires (still have the nubs on them), flywheel weight, billet clutch basket.

Selling a 2001 CR250R. Bike is in very good condition. Needs a new piston- not running currently (piston has already been removed, ready for a new one - I ran out of time to work on this and want the garage space back) Aside from that its friggin cherry. Everything functions properly; brakes work and have plenty of life, wheel bearings are good, chain and sprocket have plenty of life, headstay bearings are good, swingarm bearings are new, tranny is flawless. It's a low hours, super clean '01. I bought it to use for a CR500AF project but ended up going with a CRF250R chassis. I was planning on doing the top end and keeping it as a dirt toy, but I have too many projects and not enough time. These things are selling on eBay and for $2,000 and up. Piston kit from Wiseco is $209. I think the price is fair. I don't think you'll find one in this good of shape. If I don't get the money I'll do the top end and sell it as a runner when I get the time. Ebay only allows 8 pics and they downsample. This is a nasty fast racing bike that has recently had new piston, rings, pipe, knobbies, and other racing parts added. 50 Riding miles on rebuilt engine. Work was done at shop in Lugoff, SC. Bike has some wear but overall in excellent race ready condition. Not a good bike for beginners. I've gotten a little old to be riding it (50) and will stick to my street bike and CR 450 4 stroke.
