Here is your chance to know what all the other riders were talking about. This listing is for a 2001 Honda Valkryie 1500. This is one performance driven bike, made to cruise the open roads. This one has done its fair share of cruising, it has 76479 miles and was extremely well maintained. Only one major flaw to the bike and that is the crack in the rear fender which is pictured. Lots of chrome on the bike, highway pegs, backrest for driver and passenger. The driver backrest does fall down when no one is on the bike, probably just tightening of a bolt and that could be fixed. Up for sale is my husband's clean, 2001 Honda Valkyrie motorcycle with only 22,000 original miles. Black. Very small dent on right top of gas tank, but it’s hard to see (see photo). No road rash, chrome is very good, as are wheels, tires and seat. No leaks of any kind. Starts promptly and doesn't use oil. New battery installed last summer. Here is some info that might peak your interest: Balance. That is the word that best defines Honda's Valkyrie flagship cruiser. Painstaking refinement that crafts wide-spectrum motorcycles is a Honda hallmark, but the Valkyrie is exceptionally versatile. Although its roots in the full-boat Gold Wing tourer lead many to anticipate a bloated, cumbersome motorcycle, the Valkyrie belies its size. It handles more nimbly yet more steadily than most other brands' cruiser-line leaders, but it retains the comfort and stateliness of the full-dress motorcycle out on the open road. The Valkyrie's claim on power-cruiser status is almost as much visual as it is mechanical. The big, liquid-cooled, opposed-six bulging from the engine room isn't designed to flow with the cruiser mainstream, but it isn't intended to be ignored, either. As with any good hot rod, the engine is the centerpiece of the machine. Six cylinders, six chrome-capped carbs, and six headers heading for two pipes sharing six outlets make sure no one but the absolutely uninitiated will mistake this for another me-too V-twin. (An aside: Every Valkyrie we have tested has brought at least one query of "Is that a Harley?" Onlookers haven't a clue what they are viewing, but they've been told Harleys have big impressive engines and this machine definitely fits the bill.)
