This is a 2001 CR250 chassis with a 1988 CR500 engine installed. Bike was completely rebuilt in winter of 2014 and ridden twice. Engine is completely rebuilt - new bearings in the bottom end, new crank, rod and piston. Bike shifts clean through all gears, clutch is in good shape. Suspension rebuilt and revalved for 180lb rider, new swingarm, linkage and headset bearings. New tires with only the two rides on them. Do not have title, but will provide bill of sale.

Original honda factory fenders. the bottom of the frame is not bent up or scrapped bad. there is a mark on the swing arm (see pic) from a chain derail, that might be why there is no motor..... This is the last year of the Honda big bore and they are getting rare. complete 2001 cr500s are worth 3k+ so if anyone has a motor sitting around here is a good opportunity. Bike has been rebuilt; Synthetic Grease in all pivots, Re-Nickasil bore, Wiseco Piston, 22mm Power valve upgrade, upgraded reeds, FMF Fatty pipe out to an FMF silencer, Front wave rotor. Clutch pull is butter smooth and I mean BUTTER SMOOTH... I cannot stand a hard clutch pull when I ride so I take meticulous care to lubricate the clutch pull so I can get one finger on it. You will be amazed with the clutch pull on this bike I guarantee it. The bike does NOT HAVE A TITLE. This bike is NOT STOLEN. The bike is also not Flood or Water damaged. I only clicked that in the add because I had to for ebay listing. The VIN is Clearly stamped and marked not scratched off or anything weird. That said I can assure you the bike is mine and is not stolen or anything shady going on. I will explain the circumstances which led to me losing the physical title to the perspective buyer but I am not going to tell my story on ebay about a bike with no title. THE BIKE HAS ALL NEW PLASTICS, GRAPHICS. THE FRONT FORK SEALS REPLACED SWING ARM BUSHINGS ETC. THE ENGINE WAS GONE THROUGH, WITH TOTAL REBUILD, TOP AND BOTTOM END, WITH AROUND 10HRS ON IT. I COULDN'T RESIST HAD TO RIDE HER. YOU CAN DO THE MATH BUT IN 2001 THE CR125 WEIGHT WAS 192.9LBS, THE CR250 WAS 213.8LBS, AND THE CR500 WEIGHT WAS 222.7LBS, SO I DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU HOW WICKED FAST SHE IS!! IT IS VERY WELL BALANCED BIKE. THE GUY WHO BUILT HER HAS TONS OF EXPERIENCE IN DOING THESE CONVERSIONS, AS THIS ONE IS LIKE HIS 10TH ONE BUILT. HE KNOWS HIS BUSINESS. For sale is a 2001 Honda CR 250 in excellent condition. I've had this bike a five years now and during that time have rebuilt or replaced just about everything. It's setup for Hare Scramble and Enduro riding or just having fun in the woods.  The motor was completely rebuilt and has only 10 hours on it now, see the hour meter photo. Included in the rebuild were a new crank and main bearings, new piston and rings, the cylinder was replated, new clutch plates, kick starter lever, and all seals were replaced. The bike has just about every goodie you can get: JD Jetting kit, oversize tank, skid plate, Moose Racing triple clamps, Fat Bars, unbreakable AVS levers, Pro Circuit Pipe, FMF Turbine Core W/ spark arrestor, new plastics, new tires (still have the nubs on them), flywheel weight, billet clutch basket.

2001 Honda CR500R engine. Came out of a running bike. The top end was removed for inspection and put back together but needs gaskets if you choose to run it as is. Has slight damage to the bolt boss for the sprocket cover from chain coming off, does not leak oil, easy fix, (see photos) Cylinder is .050 over, no damage, cases are 10/10 (aside from the bolt boss). Includes the full stock cr500 ignition system (coil, CDI, Stator flywheel), a stock 38mm PJ carb, an aftermarket 39.5mm PWK carb (with zipty racing air screw), The stock reed block and intake boot & an aftermarket Vforce 3 reed block with another stock intake boot (but modified for vforce reeds), Also included is a pentek CNC sprocket cover anodized black from the UK, and the kick and shift levers that came with the engine. Sorry, do not have an exhaust to go with it. I bought this engine used with the intentions of rebuilding it and building an AF conversion but have lost interest in the project. I do not know the hours or history of the engine, it ran when I bought it and thats all I know about it. This is a used running engine that is usable and I give no warranty.
