This is a 1994 model CR500R with the upgraded front end from the 2001....Which was its last year produced. The CR500 feels to me like its really just a mid 1990's steel framed CR250R with twice the motor crammed in..... - The heart of this beast is impressive, very durable and reliable. It's BIG, MEAN, and SIMPLE...(what powervalve?) ***** ENGINE has only 15 HOURS since complete rebuild. I was easy on it for the First 5 hours for break in.****** *** I run Honda HP2 full synthetic premix oil at 32:1 with premium 93 octane pump gas. *** HERES WHATS NEW: Hot Rods Crank shaft and Rod, Main Bearings and Seals, Fresh cylinder Bore and New .060" or 1.5mm over Wiseco Piston. (UN-PORTED CYLINDER) Boyesen pro-series Power Reeds, Uni-filter air filter, fresh packing for the FMF Gnarly pipe and Powercore 2 Silencer... (Runs very strong, usually starts first kick... jetted in well with the stock PJ38 carb, Even Idles well- with NO fouled spark plugs..) -HERES THE OTHER NEW STUFF WITH ONLY 15 HOURS ON IT!- MX 51 Tires, Ultra Heavy duty Tubes, Chain and Sprockets with new Swing arm chain slider, Handlebar, Plastics, Grips, PRO-MOTO BILLET ALUMINUM KICKSTAND... ( like $150 bucks), Seat Cover, Custom foot pegs, some shock bushings and bearings, as well as various seals and gaskets...(Im now in well over 3 grand on this one.) *****CURRENTLY, THE BAD!! Here's the honest truth... My bike needs the basics- The Fork Seals and Shock Seal need to be replaced.... And the Rear brake feels soft even with decent pads- probably from the previous owner over using it to NOT LOOP OUT...Still locks up the rear but requires more lever travel than it should.. I gave bleeding it a shot, but bleeding brakes that's one thing Ive always kinda sucked at... sorry. ***** ---> OTHER THAN THAT ITS A MEAN MACHINE, THE CLUTCH FEELS GOOD AND IT SHIFTS SMOOTH..
