When I bought this motorcycle, it was already in mint condition. However, I wanted to make it the Best Dressed Indian Spirit I could. It took time and patience, and this Indian has just about every upgrade offered by Gilroy and its approved vendors. I didn’t go for over-the-top glitzy; I went for super-stock, in keeping with the Indian theme of the bike. As a result, this bike won numerous shows including Best-in-Show at the Connecticut Dreams-to-Reality Motorcycle show. This Indian features a very rare custom factory paint job straight from Gilroy. Main color is called Blackberry Metallic. Indian logo isn’t a decal; it is hand painted. The detail work is beautiful. The pictures really don’t do it justice to the color. Here’s a list of some of the things I have done...and you'll never see another one like this: · Leather dash panel bib — the Indian head medallion matches the optional gold points cover · Optional oil temperature gauge on chrome oil tank. · Chrome air cleaner cover with a gold war bonnet emblem · Custom chrome primary cover · Custom chrome derby cover with gold Indian script logo · Custom chrome chain inspection cover with gold chief logo that matches the logo embroidered on the fringed leather seat · Optional chrome rectifier cover · Custom chrome rear fender rack · Custom black leather case embossed with Indian logo · Custom black leather tool pouch embossed with Indian logo · Custom chrome license plate frame with Indian logo · Custom chrome front and rear fender tips with gold Indian logos · Custom chrome shifter in the shape of an arrow · Custom chrome passenger pegs with gold arrows that match shifter · OEM Indian Roadmaster black leather saddlebags with Indian conchos · OEM chrome front highway bar · OEM chrome rear highway bars (rarer than hen’s teeth) · OEM wind screen by WindVest with the authentic Indian logo on the chrome cross beam (took me two years to find one. And it was new!) · Metzeler wide whitewall tires · Ceramic brake pads (so you don’t have to worry about brake dust dirtying your whitewalls) · Glass Indian face in chrome front fender war bonnet instead of the usual plastic face · Upgraded teardrop headlight · Chrome teardrop-shaped mirrors · S&S 1442cc V-twin EVO engine (same as Harley used — makes servicing easy) · 20-inch black leather fringe hanging from the control levers · Low mileage (battery needs a charge so I can't check, but it's it's between 8K-9K miles.)· Fishtail exhaust with Indian logo· Two sets of original keys Now, here’s my situation. I got cancer. That and a bulging disk in my lower back means I can’t ride anymore. This last year, I had the bike professionally winterized and stored in a heated garage. All it will take to get this Indian Spirit back into Show condition is a tune-up and detailing. If you're going to use this as a daily rider, the chrome rocker covers are fine. However, if you're going to show the bike, you'll want to replace them, but that’s not a big deal. This Indian is ready to be safely shipped anywhere. If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a premier Indian motorcycle, this could be your dream come true. I have been advised to ask more for a bike in this condition, but medical bills and finances dictate a lower price than if I were willing to wait.
