Ultra Limited Production - 2006 BMW R1150GS Adventure Special Edition If you're not familiar with this bike, let me explain the story. This particular motorcycle was BMW's lowest production bike ever made. There were 354 produced for the Australian Police Department, but at the same time BMW launched the new 2006 R1200GS. Once the Australian Police Dept. heard about this, they cancelled their order for the R1150GSA models and chose the R1200GS instead. Rumor has it, that 150 of these bikes came to the United States and the remaining amount was distributed throughout the rest of the world. Of these 150 bikes in the US, it's unknown the exact number of them that are still around. There are a couple websites out there (EricSYn) if you google them, you'll find them that explain the story of these bikes. I received my information from a BMW employee that I met at the 2013 BMW MOA Rally in Oregon. With that being said, I was informed by the BMW employee, that these bikes were also built better and stronger to take the abuse of the police force during their daily patrols. I hate to see it go, but hope it goes to someone that will understand the value and ride it as it's intended purpose. F650GS Dakar/Touratech $3250 2005 F650GS Dakar with 24,400 miles built out with Touratech's Oryx Package. There were only a couple of these ever put together in the U.S. It's a rare beast. Basically, the subframe, gas tank, headlight, fenders and body panels are removed from a stock F650 and replaced with parts from Touratech that removes over 50 pounds of weight. Additionally, the suspension is upgraded. This bike has fully adjustable front forks from a Yamaha YZ450 with new fork seals and the rear has a fully adjustable shock with external reservoir from WP. This bike eats up rocks and uneven terrain very well. In place of the stock headlight is a dual beam unit with a projector lens for an even light pattern on low beam. The high beam is a multiple LED unit that throws way more light than allowed on highways. It is a great asset for night off road use or dark country roads. It is very bright. The stock muffler (very heavy!) is replaced by a free flowing Sebring muffler, that is surprisingly quiet. Small items include folding mirrors for off road use, anti-vibration handlebar mounts with a very strong Pro Taper handlebar. Shift and brake levers are replaced with malleable steel levers that bend instead of break. This bike has been on some off road campaigns and the body work is banged up here and there. All the body panels are fiberglass and there have been some cracks repaired, but not painted and one crack not repaired at this point. This is not a showroom bike. It has been ridden, but not mistreated. The bike has anti-lock brakes with override switch. There's low miles on a pair of Shinko SR244 tires. The SR244 is a 50/50 dual sport tread. Good all around compromise. The seat cover is a bit torn up and needs to be replaced. Not shown is a diy windshield for road use. Clean title current registration.

It's a 2006 BMW F650GS Dakar. Got 21,XXX miles on it at this point. It's had all it's scheduled maintenance called for in the manual (based on mileage milestones). I have most of the paperwork for oil changes etc, though I did an oil change and a little bit of work on my own a while back. (replaced a seal that required taking the left side engine cover off). All maintenance has been done at Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA. The bike has run like a top since I bought it. I just had the 18k mileage service done on it when I got home from deployment. That included pretty much all fluids (oil, brakes etc).It's got brand new tubes and tires. The chain is not brand new, but was put on recently, kept cleaned and lubricated and has plenty of miles to go. There are a few cosmetic scratches and the seat is wearing out. The bike is ready to go and the seat can certainly still be ridden on. Price: Asking $4900 for the bike. This includes a spare set of offroad tires. Two helmets. Multiple coats and a cold weather suit.
