2017 KTM 250 SX, 2017 KTM 250 SX LEADER OF THE PACK The new KTM 250 SX with its all-new engine has one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the world of dirt, forming the ultimate weapon against more complex 4-stroke rivals. With the grunt to devour all sorts of tracks and terrains, and a lightweight chassis keen to skim the surface, this masterpiece of KTM s R&D and Motorsport departments is born to lead the next pack of winners that prefer premix. Features may include: ENGINE The engine of the 250 SX has been known and respected for being the most powerful 2-stroke engine in its class. But we thought the segment could use an extra push and a solid statement: 2-strokes have a future at KTM. Their outstanding power-to-weight ratio, low cost and simplicity see to that. Putting our money where our mouth is, we gave the 250 SX engine an all new architecture with a new shaft arrangement for better mass centralization, a new cylinder with a twin-valve controlled power valve, a new counter balancer for less engine vibrations, a 5-speed transmission and a hydraulically operated DDS clutch. This compact fireball truly outshines the competition with absolutely ripping performance and is the right choice for lovers of premix. CYLINDER The newly developed cylinder of the 250 SX - with a bore of 66.4mm - has all-new ports and is fitted with an overhauled power valve system. This system features a sophisticated mechanism for the lateral support exhaust ports, providing smooth and controllable power on tap. Furthermore, it s possible to change the bike s mood in seconds thanks to two supplied powervalve springs. Limitless settings for different tracks and preferences are up for grabs. Throw everything you have at it; new water jackets in the cylinder and head will take care of excess heat and reworked lateral cylinder head brackets allow a more efficient fixation of the engine to the frame via lightweight head stays. Yes, this is a serious piece of kit. ENGINE CASES These all-new die-cast engine cases feature a 8mm higher clutch shaft and a 27mm higher crankshaft, resulting in better mass centralization. Which is nice if you care about sweet rideability. In addition, it allows the implementation of a counter balance shaft. So your ride will be as relaxed as it is rapid. Plus, your new favorite engine will keep looking as fresh as the day you bought it: redesigned engine covers feature a smart surface structure in order to reduce the wear caused by the rider s boots. CLUTCH The 250 SX employs the KTM-developed DDS clutch (damped diaphragm steel) with a wear-free steel basket and extremely heat resistant clutch plates. This clever design employs a diaphragm spring instead of the usual coil springs, which makes for a considerably easier clutch action. A diaphragm spring also leaves sufficient space for a damping syste

2016 KTM 250 SX-F, 2016 KTM 250 SX-F Small-Bore Domination The 250 SX-F is once again the World Champion in MX2 and adds a prestigious AMA Supercross Lites Championship to its amazing trophy cabinet. The 2014 season was a great success in racing at all levels around the globe, and 2015 promises to be no different. Already known for its strong performance, the new generation 250 SX-F presents itself with a newly developed, stronger engine built into an all-new chassis. The performance combination of a powerful and much torqueier engine in a lightweight and agile chassis is sure to make the 250 SX-F the star of the show for the future. The new 250 SX-F, the lightest and best performing bike in its class, is the right choice for both the amateur and professional riders, as it will remain a winning bike that will be hard to chase for its competitors. Features May Include: ENGINE The new 250 SX-F engine is based on the similar overall design of its predecessor, with some major refinements to make this MX2 power plant more compact and lighter, with the production of improved torque and power across the entire rpm range. Perhaps one of the most impressive benefits of the new design is a weight reduction of 1.1 kg to a total of 26.1 kg, including the incredibly beneficial electric starter. The reworked power unit guarantees an improved power curve over the entire rev range up to 14,000 rpm, which makes the new 250 SX-F much easier to ride for both amateur and professional riders. CYLINDER HEAD The centerpiece of the compact DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) engine is the new cutting-edge cylinder head. It features improved combustion chamber geometry, two 150 g lighter overhead camshafts with new timings, plus a friction-optimized super-fine surface, new finger followers with a 30 % harder DLC coating and a reworked timing drive (friction reduced and shorter DID timing chain, new sprockets and chain guides). New valve springs and retainers for the four lightweight titanium valves (intake 32.5 mm, exhaust 26.5 mm) and high-flow ports create a maximized flow rate for an optimal power band and maximum performance, which concludes at an engine speed sound barrier of 14,000 rpm. CYLINDER & PISTON In the reworked and shorter cylinder that has a bore of 78 mm, is a weight-reduced, forged bridged box-type piston made by CP. It features a unique piston ground shape adapted to the new combustion chamber and stands out with its extra rigid structure, combined with a low weight. The compression ratio is at 14.4:1. Thanks to the low oscillating masses, the engine offers extremely lively characteristics. BATTERY AND WIRING HARNESS As in the past, all new SX-F engines are fitted with the proven electric starter a unique KTM feature and a major benefit at all levels of motocross racing. For MY 2016 the SX-F range fits a super compact and lightweight 495 g lithi

2013 Honda CRF 250R, Affordable and reliable motocross bike. 2013 Honda CRF250R On The Gas! Anyone who s ever raced in the Lites class knows that your bike better be perfect if you expect to win. With a 450, all that power can help you erase a mistake, but on a 250 if you give an inch the rest of the pack is going to use you for traction. That s why the new 2013 CRF250R doesn t give an inch. We took the 2012 Lites East AND West SX champion and gave it an even sharper edge. Updates include a larger high speed compression adjuster on the shock for improved low-speed damping, along with a stiffer fork spring up front and more high-speed compression damping adjustability in the rear. New Dunlop MX51 tires improve drive feeling and save weight, and new disc covers channel some of the 450 s style into the 250 class. Of course we ve kept the features that put the CRF250R on the top podium box all across the country: its twin-spar aluminum frame, Unicam engine with fuel injection (new ECU settings this year for better low- and mid-rpm performance), and the exclusive Honda Progressive Steering Damper. All-in-all, it s the most dialed-in 250 we ve ever produced, Which means it s way more dialed than anything else on the track. Nothing Else Even Comes Close Balance is the key to winning in the Lites class. You need a bike that offers performance, responsiveness and rider-friendly ergonomics, all in equal amounts, the more refined the better. And that s exactly what the 2013 CRF250R offers. Last year we gave it some major engine upgrades; this year we ve fine-tuned the suspension. The result is a machine that a wide range of riders can use to full advantage on the track. Add in the new Dunlop MX51 tires designed specifically for this bike and from the time the first start gate drops you'll know you're on the best Lites-class MX bike you've ever ridden. Light Makes Might Compact and batteryless, the CRF250R s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system optimizes performance, and improves fuel efficiency. Totally Dialed New front and rear suspension internals, stiffer fork springs, and revised high-speed compression adjustments in the rear help the CRF250R hook up and handle better than ever. The Power to Win Honda s Unicam engine is the benchmark in the four-stroke MX class. New settings for the electronic fuel injection (EFI) give you improved performance in the low- and mid- ranges this year. The Honda Difference Developed by our factory racing team, the Honda Progressive Steering Damper is lightweight, compact and enhances cornering ability while reducing rider fatigue.
