It needs nothing. Bike does have an air cleaner, I just had it off to adj. the carb. It is all 12 volt using a cycle electric generator. I bought this bike from the nephew of the original owner. It is a numbers matching mag bike that has never been restored in any way. When I got it the mag gave me trouble so i put on a 47 pump and a distributor and it starts and runs great with zero smoke. I changed the grips and spirals to left shift and right throttle with parts that came with the bike but every thing is there to change it back. I put on an old harley police seat that matched the age of the bike so the buddy seat could be saved in its original condition. I put on a new exhaust from Greers and aged it to match the bike. The wheels are 18" and the tires are from the sixties which I aired up and went riding. The extra engine is a 48 that is apart but is complete from pump to 344 carb with sediment bowl. I miked the cylinders and they are stock bore and the valves sit high. I checked the plug threads in heads and the fins are fine. A friend said the bottom end could be run as is but i figured if you were to rebuild it go ahead and do the the rods and mains. I was going to rebuild it but have headed in a different direction. There are a lot of parts. there is 3 trans cases with which 2 are good including towers. There is a couple of generators with mounts and a ton of other stuff that go with the bike. I am selling the bike because i want to learn to fly and I am going to get a short field plane or build one . My name is Joe and I can be reached at 928 241 1490. 1947 INDIAN CHIEF MOTORCYCLE, matching #'s engine & frame... 74ci v-twin, 3spd tank shifter with suicide clutch, like new Goodyear tires, all new bearings on springer front end, new brakes, new battery, NOS headlamp, engine and transmission were professionally rebuilt in 1985. Also the generator was converted to 12v in 1985 at a cost of $600; We have a thick folder of receipts from the man that has owned this bike since 1971 prior to us purchasing it earlier this year. Bike has had about 2500 miles on it since 1985 when he had the eng/tran rebuilt. Starts right up and runs smooth; transmission and clutch need to be slightly adjusted-- it slightly grinds and doesn't want to go into gear easily which is typical of these old Indians. I have my 2012 Eagle Aluminum (pull behind) (not Aluma MTX model) trailer for sale. I bought it new from the east coast in 2012, only used it for one road trip and it has been garage kept. This trailer not only has regular leaf spring type suspension, it has a small air bag in the center which completely eliminates any trailer bounce. It is in like new condition, black anodized aluminum storage box (48"x24"x22"), LED rear lights with strobing brake light bar and LED side marker lights. The tires are full size trailer tires with aluminum wheels. The tire size is ST205/70R14's. There are tie down bars on top for extra luggage or a cooler. This is a welded box, not a cheap riveted Chinese knock off. The wiring harness is a 5 pin connector. I paid $1831 then and will let it go for $1095. First come first tow.
