**Disclaimer - Do NOT offer, bid, purchase this bike unless you have 100% secured funding. Once you do that, you commit yourself to a legally binding purchase agreement. If you find yourself irresponsible and immature, go find another auction. Once you click Purchase, you owe me money and I will get it, because regardless if you can purchase or not, I will owe the listing fees which means YOU will owe the listing fees...understood?** Super nice Harley Sportster. I've spent countless hours modifying and making this a better bike. If you like the rough, raw, gritty feel of a true Harley then this bike is for you. Modifications: Engine: Hammer Performance 1250 kit Diamond grind finned Jugs HP 3568 10.5:1 pistons Cylinders honed and pistons fit (rings gapped/assembled by Hammer Performance) Cometic gasket set XL 560 Impact Hammer Perf Cam Set Bronze oil pump gear medium diaphragm clutch spring 1200 Sportster heads (purchased new) Bike is a tad under 100rwhp. With new 30deg pistons and some head work, 100+ is easy achievable and quite scary on a Sportster. custom Crankcase vent: HD made the worst decision to vent through the heads. It causes oil issues as the crankcase pressure moving up and down the rod tubes affects the oil lubrication. Lot's of folks see oil blow out of the air cleaner. I went back to the "good ole days" and added a crankcase vent behind the oil filter on the cam cover. I ran copper heavy pipe to a ETCC Crank case breather (et-performance.com) Suspension: Rear: Bitchin Baggers modified Road King shocks. These were originally 12.75" and I had them cut down 2.5" to 10.25". These are fitted with a single point filler schrader valve for filling. They ride great. Front: is a 2" Drop In Progressive Spring pack. Wheels: Front: is the 19x.2.15 spoke Nightster wheel Rear: 17x4.5 Street Bob spoke wheel (fitted with a 180/55-17R Shinko Raven009) A/C: Custom mounted 5" circular A/C w. K&N filter Handlebars: 16" internally wired Z-bars (some folks call them apes, but they're not) Exhaust: Martin Bros Blunts (no chrome!, painted with ceramic black exhaust paint and wrapped in Thermo-Tec copper exhaust wrap. Tuner: Dynojet Power Vision PV1 Battery: brand new Seat: Custom made with copper accented tanning alligator leather seat from Carrie Grabbe of MotherRoadCustoms. Rides on 3" black springs. The under tank plastics were removed, tank lifted 1.5-2", coil and ignition relocated. The bracket I made for the ignition coil relocation broke, you will need to fab or buy (ewww) a new one (it's currently zip tied as you can see in pics), it's not going anywhere. The rear fender/strut area has been heavily modified to fit the larger wheel/tire and is designed solely for solo riding (no 2up). 530 heavy duty chain conversion done also. I still have the belt drives if you want to switch back. This bike was built part rat, part "new school" bobber. I hate using the bobber term since it really doesn't fit this day in age, but nevertheless, that's how most in the public refer to it. It does have real and painted copper accents. This bike draws a lot of attention. Most don't even recognize it as a Sportster, which is quite funny when you let the cat out of the bag to those that have the odd distaste for it. Shipping will be responsibility of purchaser but I will help out any way I can within reason. Payment of $500 will be due at auction close by Paypal, the rest is to be paid with cash or bank certified check. You will not get the bike until ALL funding is clear. Please ask any and all questions BEFORE you offer or purchase. You must communicate through eBay initially, I will give my mobile number to any serious buyers. I can provide videos, live Facetime, etc.

2003 Harley Davidson Chopper This is a one of a kind 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster Chopper professionally built by Sculpture Cycles of Arizona. This beauty is a 2 time (first place) Best Chopper winner and it was featured in the January 2004 issue of Iron Works magazine. The powder coated frame is a Dragster Hardtail by Paughco with a 42 degree rake, a 3” stretch in the backbone and a 22" seat height. Both the engine and transmission are from a 2003 XLH 1200 and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its custom built 2 into 1 exhaust system. The front end is from a Wide Glide and is 8" over with a 3 degree rake in the triple trees. It also has an OEM Sportster tank with a custom 8" stretch, a custom fender, a custom seat and a custom oil tank that were all hand built by Sculptured Cycles. The wheels are 17” aluminum with three spokes and it has a 140/17 front tire with a 170/17 rear tire. It is fitted with a set of 18” ape hangers and has Joker Machine hand controls. The bars, hand controls, cables, K&N Forcewinder intake and the dual beam head light were all added in 2010. There were no compromises in materials, development time and manufacturing technology that built this motorcycle that is a conservative high strength statement in mechanical design and craftsmanship. Original factory frame 1977 FX with matching engine and frame numbers. 3.75 inch ground clearance with 24 inch seat height and 480pound curb weight. Original 1977 SuperGlide fuel tank with Performance Machine flush mount weld-in fuel cap. OEM HD grips, front brake control and throttle. Thompson Racing Products master cylinder for clutch mounted on 24 inch wide drag bars on custom aluminum billet risers. 74” Engine prepared by Doc's Racing of Tacoma. Original cases, cylinders and heads. Internals: S&S flywheels (3 31/32 stroke), S&S pinion and sprocket shaft and S&S two hole crankpin, nuts and S&S supreme connecting rods. Crankshaft prepared by Doc’s with a 65% balance factor (+/-.5 gram error). Crankshaft to crankcase endplay measures .0013". Sprocket shaft and pinion shaft measure than .0005” total indicator runout (TIR). Left and right flywheels measured at and less than .0003” TIR. Crankshaft pinion has metering valve to prevent wet sumping and bearing skid. Pistons are Wiseco forged 9.0:1 CR, 3.4675 (+.040) diameter, dry film coating on skirts and temperature reflective coating on tops by Performance Coatings with cast iron rings and smooth bore cylinder walls. Valve timing: S&S pink cam drive gear, Andrews "B" grind cam, Crane solid lifters (+.005) with Crane pushrods. Crankcase oil return and venting is made through an adjustable timing Rev-Tech breather with no screen. Lubrication: Modified S&S oil pump with 1/2" inside diameter delivery and return lines with S&S factory ratio oil pump drive gears. Solid state oil pressure sensor takes reading straight from oil pressure bypass valve port. Heads are ported and flowed by Doc’s Racing (flow bench rated @ approximately 132 CFM with .500 lift @10" water vacuum). Bronze guides, Viton seals, Kibblewhite black nitrided stainless steel valves with Andrews springs and retainers with clearance for .510 lift. Crane roller rockers w/needle bearing fulcrum. Overhead oiling is provided through two separate stainless steel lines feeding rocker box at front and rear intake rocker shaft. Both lines have metering jets to prevent over-oiling of top end and prevent bottom end wet sumping. Valve seats have been replaced for use with unleaded fuel and machined flush with port walls to prevent reversion. Engine venting uses two each 3/8" ID vent lines: One at the factory location and second vent at the upper air/oil separator cavity on the top of the timing cover both routed into a common housing with a STM one-way reed valve breather exiting into a 7/8" ID line terminating behind the primary support. Engine does not leak or weep at anywhere proving there is no crankcase pressure build up enhancing engine performance. This engine does not consume of lose any oil between changes. Uses a K&N HP1007 oil filter to minimize oil flow restriction return to tank. Fuel delivery: S&S Super "E" modified by DaVinci in 2004 with adjustable air bleed, modified intermediate circuit flow, float bowl venting and venturi booster with a Pingle fuel tank valve, K&N air filter with modified S&S air filter housing. Ignition: Daytona Twin Tech model 1005K ignition: Programmable advance curves, single fire, multispark w/ twin DYNA 3 ohm coils. Low resistance MSD 8.8mm spiral core wires. Bike comes with data link for RS232 port and programming software (for WINDOWS 98 and up). The data link provides for programming timing curves, engine statistics (ie: percent RPM range use, run hours), selection of multi or single spark, single or dual fire operation modes and RPM limit. Exhaust is a modified, Performance Coatings heat insulating Thunderheader, supported with heat treated stainless steel support system that allows for expansion and contraction of the system completely eliminating shaking of the collector-muffler at all RPMs and cracking of welds. Coating is to keep exhaust gases hot as long as possible helping the cylinder to scavenge as best as possible. Primary Drive: 3 inch wide, 8mm pitch Kevlar reinforced belt drive, 47/76 tooth ratio primary drive. Primo engine pulley with modified BDL clutch pulley. Clutch assembly balanced to less than ½ gram rotating mass. 7 aluminum, Kevlar coated aluminum friction plates with an 8 steel driven plate clutch pack with a cadmium plated diaphragm spring against an anodized 7075-T651 aluminum pressure plate. Total weight for the primary system is 14 pounds (For reference, a Bandit clutch basket alone weighs 17 pounds). Black anodized 7050-T7451 aluminum plate inboard and outboard engine to transmission supports with SKF sealed bearing supports. Both engine and clutch pulley is fully supported on the outboard side by the engine to transmission plate structure. All bearing support plates are made from 7075-T7351 plate, are fully adjustable and secured with NAS stainless steel aircraft fasteners. Transmission: Rivera Engineering 4 speed case with 1970-1978 shifter cover and cam. Andrews first through forth gears w/2.44 first and 1.35 third ratio gears. Andrews mainshaft, synchronizers and shifting forks. All other parts are JIM’s. Transmission was blueprinted and assembled by Dan Baisley’s Hi-Performance in Portland, Oregon. ART billet Hydraulic clutch release with Thompson Products .625" slave cylinder that matches in appearance to front brake master cylinder. Kicker shaft modified to rotate in 2 sets Torrington needle bearings and O rings for seals replacing factory bushing design. Shifter is reverse action: First is one back and the rest are forward also giving additional leverage easing shifter effort. Secondary drive: 24 Tooth .3125 offset transmission sprocket with PBI 49 Tooth aluminum secondary sprocket and DID nickel plated O-ring. 3.30 total final drive ratio. Bike come with a new, still in the original package Performance Machine offset drive, 40 spoke aluminum hub allowing use of PBI flat Sportster style rear sprocket (bike comes with a 48 and 49 tooth PBI flat polished aluminum sprockets, One still packaged and one not. Oil tank: 5 quart capacity Exile Motorcycles oil tank modified for 1/2" diameter oil feed and return with a 3/8" case to oil tank vent line. Westach aircraft solid state oil temperature sensor is mounted in the return flow area. Designed to run with 4 quarts in cooler areas and 5 quarts when it’s warmer. All oil and vent lines are Earl’s Indy Prolite 350. Front end: 41 mm SHOWA forks, OEM HD FXWD tubes, in custom 7050-T7451 aluminum trees w/ 5 degrees caster giving 35 degrees total rake. The assembly is supported by a 6AL-4V Titanium stem axel. Lower legs have a 5 point support strut system providing rigidity during hard cornering and high speed straight line stability. Wheels, front and rear: 4.25 X 16 Akront aluminum rims, sulfuric acid anodized, Landmark IVD aluminum coated stainless steel spokes, Performance machine hubs (sulfuric acid anodized). Assembled, sealed for tubeless operation and balanced by Wheel Works in Los Angeles with a guarantee of .005 inch maximum radial and .003 lateral runout. Custom made 6Al-4V MIL-T-9046 annealed titanium axels, front and rear. Brakes: Performance machine calipers (clear anodized, four piston) w/ BRAKING stainless steel 11.5 inch floating rotors. FXR type rear 5/8 diameter rear master cylinder located under the timing cover (try to find it…). Rear fender strut is custom made 7050-T7451 aluminum billet. Seats: Corbin leather driver’s seat and Phantom P-pad for passenger. Miscellaneous There is so many one off machined parts used in the build of this motorcycle that make it impractical to list. A close review of the pictures will support some of this statement. All materials used in fabrication of specialized parts are of new generation aircraft alloys. All aluminum alloys are: 7050 T7451 or 7475 T7351; All stainless steel parts are heat treated 15-5Ph AMS5659, to Rc 40-43; All titanium parts were made from annealed 6Al-4V, per MIL-T-9046 or 9047. Bolts/All other hardware are nylon patch or ring or aircraft specification. Completed first build in 1997 and have modified several times since then (3" belt drive and Exile oil tank installed in 2003, S&S bottom end was installed in 2006) and in 2010 I went into the engine again and while there installed +.040 Wisco pistons (coated skirts and tops), replaced bronze valve guides and Teflon seals, replaced with 4 each Crane roller rocker arms and hardened Crane rocker shafts, rebuilt heads, replaced 4 each Crane solid lifters and replaced 4 each pushrods plus rebuilding brake calipers, replacing pads, secondary chain, etc. To prove quality and condition, I will disassemble front cylinder, cylinder head/rocker box and remove cam/gear case cover to validate condition to buyer. There are no leaks, weeps or drips evident anywhere. This motorcycle is in exceptional condition. I cannot ride anymore and all it does is sit in the garage now. In 2009 I became ill which has developed into a chronic health issue and the condition has developed to a degree which I cannot ride with any degree of safety. Bike has traveled less than 100 miles in the past 3 years. I have to bite the bullet and let go of it so it can be used as it was intended to. For reference I have been a machinist since 1969 and working as an aerospace mechanical engineer since 1976 designing structures and mechanical systems. This motorcycle has been through a seires of builds, each time adding or changing something to improve performance or revise an earlier design of some detail or assembly to what I want. Basis for materials and application of were derived from MIL-HDBK-5/SAEMMPDS-01. I worked my way through school as a machinist, which gave me the experience and having a friend who owns a machine shop, to make the parts used in the build of this motorcycle. I have no idea of how many hundreds of hours I have in research, design, consulting, drafting, purchasing, programming, machining, tooling and assembly labor invested. This motorcycle is designed and built as well as I, and my associate engineers, could build a motorcycle. And of all the people who have looked this motorcycle over wherever it has pulled in, have always expressed the same opinion. It never fails to draw a crowd nor get us where we wanted to go and get back again. There were no compromises in materials, development time and manufacturing technology that built this motorcycle. It is a conservative high strength statement in mechanical design and craftsmanship.

The Harley-Davidson® Seventy-Two™ motorcycle is a metal flake dream machine, a Sportster® on a trip back to the days when the cool kids rode a Sting-Ray and the big boys parked choppers in a row on the curb. Those motorcycles were long and lean; candy-apple color and gleaming chrome shimmering in hazy summer sunlight. From its Gold Chroma Candy Flake paint and ape bars to its narrow whitewall tires, the Seventy-Two is a respectful nod to that era, and to the influence of the custom culture that still percolates today along Whittier Boulevard, the legendary cruising street in East Los Angeles also known as Route 72. THIS BIKE IS LIKE NEW, TRULY!! ONLY 67 MILES AND READY TO ROLL. BIKE IS 100% STOCK. SAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OVER NEW!! A VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS BIKE AT AN UNBELIEVABLE PRICE..... The only question left is do you call it a 2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster 72 or Seventy-two? 2013 Harley-Davidson XL1200V Seventy-Two Key Features NEW Paint color options • Powertrain is finished in Gray powdercoat with chrome covers • Chrome, eight-inch round air cleaner cover • 2.1-gallon Peanut Tank with lightening hole mounting bracket • Dunlop® white wall 21-inch (MH90-21) front and 16-inch (150/80B16) rear tires • Chrome Steel Laced wheels • Stainless steel mini-ape handlebar, mounted on a two-inch high riser • Chopped rear fender • One-piece, Sportster® classic solo seat • Side-mounted license plate • Solo seat with black textured vinyl cover • Handlebar-mounted speedometer with chrome cup • Chrome rear fender struts • Chrome coil-over pre-load adjustable rear shocks • Forward foot controls 2013 Harley-Davidson XL1200V Seventy-Two Features and Benefits The Seventy-Two motorcycle offers a classic Sportster® 2.1-gallon fuel tank, narrow whitewall tires, Chrome Steel Laced wheels, and high mini-ape handlebar that complete a look that nods to chopper custom motorcycles of the 1970s and to current trends in garage-built custom motorcycles. • Air-cooled Evolution® 1200cc V-Twin engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), rated at 73 ft. lbs. peak torque at 3500 rpm • Rubber-mounted powertrain to reduce vibration • 5-speed Transmission • Chrome, staggered, shorty dual exhaust with slash-cut mufflers • Disc Brakes • Optional factory-installed Harley-Davidson® Smart Security System with hands-free, proximity-based security fob Retro Air Cleaner Cover This 8-inch, street legal, mirror-chrome air cleaner cover makes a powerful statement that recalls the glory days of old iron crossed with a clean, contemporary look. Whitewall Tires and Laced Wheels Large (21-inch front) lace-spoked wheels with their bold brilliant white walls complete the old school low-rider look. Hard Candy Custom Color New for 2013, Hard Candy Custom™ paint is a large metal flake finish that’s more than just paint job, it’s a shining declaration of independence—bright, bold and unique. This Sportster Seventy-Two features the Hard Candy Coloma Gold Flake. Recalling the iconic rebel styling of ‘70s custom bikes, Hard Candy Custom™ paint marks another milestone in The Motor Company’s legacy of innovation. We start with several passes of 200 micron flake over a black base, then clear coat it, hand-lay the graphics, and apply the many layers of clear coat to allow the flake to shine through. It’s a painstaking process that delivers a premium custom look straight from the factory, so you can start flying your colors with no waiting or extra effort. Classic Peanut Fuel Tank First appearing on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle back in 1948, the small 2.1 gallon tapered peanut fuel tank holds strong today with its traditional styling and modern attitude. A low, powerful bulldog look that gives way for showcasing more engine, the peanut fuel tank is attitude and looks all balled up into one. Mini-Ape Hanger Handlebar Grab ahold of the stainless steel mini-ape hanger handlebar and put your fists up into the wind--itll take you back to the glory days of chopper cruising. And to keep the look cool and clean, the wiring is routed inside the steel. Classic Rear—Modern Functionality The chopped rear fender with side-mounted plate completes the Seventy-Two™ models long, low chopper look and keeps things classically clean and raw. The chrome bullet taillights combine this old school retro-styling with new school technology, packing stop beams, turn signals and running lights into each lamp. Evolution Engine Heritage The Evolution® engine—known in certain crowds as the Blockhead—was first bolted to the frame of a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle back in 1984. Born from legendary Shovelhead and Ironhead engines, the Evolution® engine broke new ground in displacement innovation while maintaining the hunger for power, durability and proven reliability that The Motor Company was built on. Evolution® Engine Innovation Air-cooled and durable as hell, the 1200cc Evolution® engine is yet another nod to the unwavering work ethic that drives advancements in motor technology at Harley-Davidson. Aluminum heads and cylinders lighten the load of the bike and improve air-cooling efficiency. Electronic fuel injection says goodbye to carburetors and boasts increased reliability and less routine maintenance. Bottom line: the rubber-mounted Evolution® engine runs hard and rides smooth for thousands of miles so you can just worry about taking in the freedom of the open road. Pure Harley-Davidson Styling Feast your eyes on the 1200cc Evolution® engine and theres no mistaking its roots. This is authentic Harley-Davidson style through and through with an attention to detail you wont find from any other motorcycle company. Black powder-coated cylinders and cylinder heads are topped off with chrome rocker covers and an old school round air cleaner cover for a tough vintage Harley-Davidson attitude. Its a jewel machined out of metal. Pure. Dripping with power. From the classic edge of the cooling fins to the clean lines of cases and covers—the 1200c Evolution® engine makes an ironclad statement to holding on to whats right and staying true to what satisfies the rider. H-D Smart Security System (Optional) The factory installed next-generation security system features a hands-free fob that automatically arms and disarms the vehicle electronic security functions as you approach and walk away from the bike. Stick the fob on your ignition key ring and let it do all the work. Its this attention to details and security that make Harley-Davidson® motorcycles unique. Artfully Hidden Technology Harley-Davidson leverages the latest in technology without compromising style and function. That means we hide electronics. The whole wiring harness is skillfully routed behind the jewels of the bike—the tank, engine and all the other eye-popping features you want to see. Its just another way The Motor Company goes the extra mile to give its bikes that premium, top-of-the-line fit and finish. Intuitive Controls Hand controls on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle are incredibly intuitive. The turn signals are self-canceling and, based on the speed and angle of the motorcycle, they know how long to stay on. Engaging the controls quickly becomes second nature so you can focus less on turning off your signal and more on basking in the freedom of the ride. Tuned to be Ridden Harley-Davidson® motorcycles are different from any other bike out on the road. Theres a balance to them. The steering, the maneuverability—its all in concert. And each Harley-Davidson® model is tuned differently to create a unique riding experience for each individual no matter which bike they swing their leg over. Lets face it, we didnt get to where we are by being like everyone else. Forward Mounted Controls With the custom forward-mounted controls, you can kick back a little and stretch your legs for the ultimate cruise through town or across the state line. Its time to take in the open road the way you were meant to—on a two-wheeled machine thats built to outdo the rest. Seat Engineering and Design The seat is home for Harley-Davidson® motorcycle riders. They want a seat that has unique style without sacrificing comfort. Because of that, Harley-Davidson invests a lot of time in researching, designing and testing seats so that every bike has just the right saddle. 2013 Harley-Davidson XL1200V Seventy-Two - USA Specifications/Technical Details DIMENSIONS Length 87.4 in.
