1978 Honda Hawk , Selling my Classic 1978 Honda Hawk 400 motorcycle, Must see to believe! Bike has been garage kept except for the last year, where it lived under a bike cover in driveway. 18,000 original miles, all original equipment, Everything works, paint is in good shape, no mechanical issues, 65 mpg! I also have all maintenance and ownership manuals, in addition to toolkit which came with it new in '78. Transmission is a Hondamatic, clutchless manual shifting, and ready to ride! At time of posting, inspection has expired, but it will pass and I'll get state inspection done prior to selling. Title in hand, serious inquiries only please. I bought it from a coworker 2 years ago, but I just don't enjoy riding as much as I used to, and need money to rebuild the transmission on my car. I'll even throw in a helmet, goggles, and armored riding jacket, if they fit you!! These bikes are rare to find in this condition, great as a daily rider or as a showroom piece. asking $1500 OBO. And remember: "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" :) $1,500.00

Selling my old 78' Hawk. I've owned this for nearly 20 years, but it has been sitting in a barn for the last 10 after I bought a new(er) bike to ride. It has it's cosmetic issues, but is a real looker from 20 feet. The nooks and crannies could deal with a cleaning/polishing.At one point I was going to make it into a "Cafe racer". It has a 2 into 1 exhaust on it(a Kerker, if memory serves), and a set of lower, flatter handlebars. I have all the original parts, as you can see in the photos. It would be very easy(couple hours of wrench turning) to bring this bike back to stock. Or, you could continue with the mods and be on your way to a little racer.Has 22k miles on it, but the top end was rebuilt at around 18k, since it was blowing a bit of smoke. Exhaust cleared up and has been fine since. It currently runs(The picture of the instrument cluster was taken with it running, notice the tach), but is in real need of a tune up. Currently un-ridable, as it doesn't make enough power to get you anywhere. The seat is original, but has a tear in it. Not sure if you can replace just the top vinyl, but the sides/back are in perfect shape(with the Honda logo). The tank has a few scratches(but no dents) and has been repaired by the 1st owner(I am the 2nd), and I sealed the inside(Creme stuff) as it started a slow leak. It has been tight as a drum for 10 years. And in fact, the gas it's running on now has been there for that long. Might be why it runs so poorly...Anyway, take a look at the pictures. The tires are practically new. The full tool kit is there, I have a repair manual that is included, some new NGK plugs, oil filter, all the original trim pieces, etc. I think I might even have a high performance coil I bought for it that I will throw in. I know I have the owners manual somewhere. It was put away "for safe keeping" and I promptly forgot where, but I will keep looking. It DOES have a title, and I think I might even have the original bill of sale.Local delivery is possible, message me.Get it now before I fix it and ask for more money! hah! Thanks for looking!
