Bull cycles is proud to offer this fantastic custom built tribute bike. Created to pay homage the old board track racing days of Joe Merkel. The early board track racers are some of our favorite bikes, they are some of the most simplistic and yet captivating bikes ever built. We just love building these tribute bikes for enthusiasts and collectors alike, the amount of attention they generate continues to amaze us. Sitting next to high dollar custom motorcycle builds in our shop- people always seem gravitate to these bikes. We strive very hard to achieve a very aged distressed look to the bikes that makes everyone do a double take. Put on display these take on the role of a fantastic piece of art. Although it doesn't stop there... The bike we have here is our rendition of a 1913 Flying Merkel racer, the color is a beautiful eye popping orange, faithful to the originals, with hand cracked under-base and countless hours of detailed airbrush finishing to achieve that look of a well aged motorbike. Topped of with beautiful hand painted lettering. The finish is all sealed, and there is no actual oil or grease. No fuel odors, and it will not leak. Authentic style tires. Our own custom tig welded fuel tank, custom heavy wall frame. The bike is fully functional and is powered by a 66cc two stroke motor. The bike runs great and will travel about 30MPH at around 80 MPG. Operation is simple with easy pedal start, and twist throttle. Everything on the bike is steel or aluminum, all tig welded. Max rider weight is shy of 260lbs, our tallest guy in the shop is 6'3 and rides these around all the time. These are not built however to survive the rough life of the original board track racers of the day. Nor are they meant for racing (though we do all the time) These are just fun little powered bikes that are great for the pits, car shows, and neighborhood cruises. Park it outside the local Pub if you're feeling chatty. Just wildly fun affordable toys. Included with the bike is our own beautiful brass reproduction stand. Molded from originals, and cast here in the Midwest exclusively for us, they are great for display. Bull Cycles is a fully outfitted custom motorcycle shop. Our experience in custom fabrication from sheet metal, machining, welding, painting and design ensures the bike you are receiving is well built. We are a brick and mortar shop, and have been featured in magazines across the globe. Rest assured if there is an issue, there is someone to call. That being said if you plan on riding this bike on a daily basis, maintenance will be necessary. These bikes are fun and require little attention. Some understanding of adjusting chains, mixing fuel, and a few hand tools will be needed. These are not modern fuel injected machines. But again, we are here to help. Most of the board track racers we sell are used as display pieces in small museums, dealerships, private collections etc., but we have sold quite a few to people who just enjoy riding as well. In most states these are considered mopeds, and do not require titles or registration. I will ship the bike anywhere it can go. Please contact me regarding international shipping before buying. We have experience shipping around the world and have pretty good rates. Some countries are difficult to ship to, so please contact prior to purchasing. For US residents we provide flat rate shipping of $250, crated freight to your door. Payment must be made in full before shipping, and must be completed within 7 days of auction close. Paypal deposit (non refundable) of $300 must be made within 24 hours to secure the bike. I will help any way possible to get the bike to you, just ask. Please check my feedback, I have been an eBay member for 11+ years with 100% feedback. All our bikes feature a one year warranty on all parts against defect. If you have questions you can call our shop Mon-Fri 10-6 CST 630-482-BULL Thank you for taking a look from all of us at Bull Cycles.

FREE SHIPPING WITHIN THE LOWER 48 STATES !!!!!!!!!!! Up for sale is my latest board track racer replica build. This bike is built to resemble a 1917 Indian racer. As with all of my builds I have been "test" ridding her around town for the past few days, and she runs and rides Perfectly ! The "barn find" finish give this bike that great nostalgic feeling one would expect from the bikes of that era. All nicks, scratches, flaws in paint, "rusty" parts, and distressed logos are all purposely done to give this bike an antique look and feel. These bikes are crafted with completely NEW parts that are only finished to look old and worn. Each bike is a one off build ! If only everyone could come by to view and feel the bike in person. Kick your leg over one of these bikes and your taken back to those, Simpler times and roots this country was built on !!! So few originals were even produced back then. Only a small number of them survive to this day, and only a very small percentage of those ever come on the market. Not to mention that when they do, the rareness has rightly so, driven prices so high that not many can afford them. But here's a chance at the next best thing to that 100 yr old original. The nuts and bolts... With fantastic MPG's from the 80cc 2 stroke motor, the joy of riding to the corner store or all the way across town is up to you. The extremely simplistic motor is virtually maintenance free, only needing a chain tension adjustment from time to time. Which is simply done with common hand tools. The great thing about this Moped style set up is that when you don't want to use the motor, bike functions just like an ordinary bicycle, and can go anywhere you wish to peddle it. When using the motor bike can reach speeds up to around 35mph, and with around 80 MPG the fun seemingly goes on forever. Don't let the mixing of gas with 2 stroke oil deter you, there is a very convenient alternative. Premixed 2 stroke fuels are readily available and sold at most hardware stores. I have found that the brand TrueFuel is the most common. The best thing about these type of fuels is they are ethanol free, which really helps these motors run great at a 40-1 mixture. We pride ourselves in building our bikes not only to be eye catchers but also to be completely functional, and usable day after day. You will find that all of our fuel tank are hand crafted for each individual build. Building each tank by hand not only gives each bike a functional fuel tank, but also allows us to more accurately replicate the style of tank for each individual motif. Depending on the style, each one of our tanks hold at least 1 US Gallon, giving the rider a riding range under motor power of around 80 miles per tank. So many people from different walks of life all seam to have a common draw to the timeless look and feel of these bikes. Many people like to ask questions and take a few photos, never a dull moment riding one of these around town !!! As much fun as they are to ride around town, they are just as fantastic as a functional art peace for an office, den, or as that attention grabbing conversation peace for your/his man cave. They are also fantastic for promotional events or as an eye grabber for a store front. Have had a few customers order builds to be used as "PIT" bikes on track days, and other customers have ordered a few for RVing around the country. What more fun and unique way can you think of to get around the pits and camp grounds. These fun one of a kind bikes can truly go anywhere and everywhere, and are sure to turn heads wherever they go. Shipping and Payment... AT THE BUY IT NOW PRICE SHIPPING IS FREE WITHIN THE LOWER 48 STATES !!!!!!!!!!! Any interested persons residing outside of the lower 48 will be responsible for shipping arrangements and charges. Tho I am more then happy to assist with shipping quotes if needed. If Buyer should choose to pickup bike or set up their own shipping arrangements I will gladly discount or refund a mutually agreed upon amount !!!! A deposit of $500 is due immediately upon purchase via PayPal to secure the bike. Please keep in mind that whichever payment method you chose, bike will only ship or be released for pick up after payment has cleared. I am more than happy to help in any way possible to make this a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Side Notes... -Photos were taken on 11-12-14 and represent the bike as it sits ready to ship to its new home and owner. -Last few photos are of previous builds just for reference,or in the event that someone may be interested in having one of those models built. -Check out "sellers other items", I may have other builds up for sale. These bikes are crafted with completely NEW parts that are only finished to look old and worn. Each bike is a one off build ! For this build I wanted to produce a more traditional style replica, instead of the "Board track style" I've been building of late. I was recently bending the ear of a few of my elders that have done it all,(and still have the grit under their nails to prove it), and it struck me. The Board track style replica is not for everyone. Tho I love the feel of that style personally, others may find it less practical for riding around than the more traditional stance of these iconic bikes. If I do say so my self, I feel the goal was met, but you be the judge... From the Hand made frame, tank, and motor plates, to the rustic paint of the barn find finish, to the brass fuel line flowing to a sediment bowl, right down to the 3 spring genuine leather seat, leather front mud flap and the kickstand setup, NO detail has been over looked !!! If only everyone could come by to view and feel the bike in person. Kick your leg over one of these bikes and your taken back to those, Simpler times and roots this country was built on !!!
