It's a beauty!!!This is all numbers matching machine including the frame, frame badge and the motor. Miles appear to be original to the bike. This bike is pretty original with accessories that every BMW enthusiast will appreciate like engine crash bars, Denfeld solo seat complemented with the Pagusa in the back (stock factory setup). Bike comes with 2 ignition keys, original owners manual and Shop Manual. I can help to arrange the shipping of the bike to lower 48 states on buyers expense $350-$650 depending on the destination location. I use Uship.Recent service included following:* Change of all top end seals and gaskets, (big job),* New drive shaft boot, new screws and lock washers,* Everything torqued to specs, * Valves adjusted, * Fluids all changed, * New Air Filter Installed* New Exhaust Headers from Vech installed including the cross pipe,* New Solo Seats Installed, * New Switch Harness installed, * NOS tires installed, * Timing set, Bike runs and rides excellent and needs nothing. I rode this bike and shifted all 4 gears. It was a pleasure. This extraordinary machine usually starts in three kicks or less if you follow the procedure correctly. Electrical components all work as intended including the horn. Front and rear brakes are fully functional as well. Clean title in hand. "The BMW R 69 S VIN 658506 was manufactured on February 10th, 1964 and delivered on February 14th, 1964 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." The BMW R69S, produced from 1960 to 1969, was BMW’s sport bike of its day. With 42 horsepower, it was by far the most powerful bike BMW made at the time. You had to pay to play ($1,564 in 1966), but that extra money bought you one of the most prestigious motorcycles available in the day. This is one of my favorite motorcycles of the 1960’s. But I’ll leave the explanation of why that is to Cycle World, who put it best in a 1962 review: "Whatever the BMW’s merits in a contest of speed, it is still the smoothest, best finished, quietest and cleanest motorcycle it has ever been our pleasure to ride. To be honest, we think that anyone who would worry much over its performance-potential is a bit of a booby. The R69S is fast enough to handle any encounter, and it has attributes that are, in touring, infinitely more valuable than mere speed. All things considered, if we were planning a two-wheel style vacation/tour, the BMW would have to be our choice of mount." It is a very nice and all serviced up bike. I have notes of the service work that have been performed by the previous owner in 03/1993 and only 500 miles ago. See the last pic for extensive maintenance record. "The BMW R 60/2 VIN 1812208 was manufactured on December 15th, 1966 and delivered on December 16th, 1966 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." Bike was sold originally in 1967 hence it was titled as 1967 and that was a common practice back in the days. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre-1970 BMW bikes I have had in my collection. It is all original bike w/o any mods. This bike has been stored in various conditions in its life and it shows. It is quite clean machine, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor has had a recent top end disassembled, inspected, one helicoil professionally installed at the machine shop for the right side spark plug. New rings were installed, new top end gaskets and seals, torqued back to factory specs. Valves and timing was set, carbs re-adjusted. Clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, also all work as intended. I disassembled the horn, cleaned but did not get it to work, I will try again but no promises. Bike may need new rear tire as I have noticed some weather cracking, front tire is like new. Starts easily as the cold start video shows, runs and rides excellent! "The Earles Forks and opposing cylinder engine always get a lot of attention." It is an old shovelhead nevertheless and may need some tinkering from time to time. Have you ever wanted a nice big twin Harley but could not afford one?? Here is your chance to get an eye catcher as never before. Bike shows ~29K miles on the clock. I was told the top end was done few years ago and the top end seals and gaskets just recently. I have not seen any oil leaks on the drive train, nor any drips on the garage floor but since it is a Shovelhead it may seep few drops of oil from the primary, (it is a Shovelhead, remember?). Paint very nice, couple of small dings here and there touched up, not noticeable. The electrical components all work as intended, brakes both works very well, I will swap the kicker for the swing out kicker to clear the pipes when kick starting. Those OEM 2-1 exhaust pipes are bulky. Some spot rust on front wheel rim. Tach moves but does not show RPM readings correctly. Extra wide bars, chrome foot and hand controls, Chromed Locomotive Style Front end, GMA Brakes front and rear with SS braided lines. This bike is a nicest FLH from the era I have seen around for the money. The motor is a 1200ccm, 74 Cubic Inches Shovelhead type, around 30K Miles with 4 speed transmission. Bike runs and rides great, the looks are stunning as you can see from the pictures, only few owners from new!!!. This FLH has a lot of character and needs similar person to ride it. For sale a jewel, 1976 AMF Harley Davidson FX-1200 Superglide Shovelhead that is constantly hard to find in such great original condition. Bike has been serviced well, runs and rides excellent, everything works, no surprises, no disappointment. This is a collector dream, no questions asked. If you are looking for one you know best. Very honest motorcycle, one will be hard pressed to find a better looking and running 1976 FXE-1200 Superglide now days. This bike looks to me very good considering its age and rides as good as it looks! Paint on the tank and fenders shows some patina, bike has original paint on the chassis as well with the original, factory sticker. The patina on the frame and drive train that accumulated with years shows well the bike heritage. This Shovelhead is not a trailer queen as pictures show but nice, presentable, older Harley that will keep appreciate in value with time. Both front and rear tires are Dunlop and like new, brakes work well, it rides, shifts and stops as it should. I have ridden the bike and shifted all 4 gears, it is a pleasure!! I have not seen any oil leaks on the motor or tranny. This bike has the original wet primary that may seep few drops of oil over time but that is being consider normal with those old Shovs. Sweet Harley FXE-1200 Superglide Shovelhead is all numbers matching and ready for you to ride in style! This super-comfortable, powerful and very dependable touring machine is being sold because its owner (me) is an elderly gentleman who is beginning to have issues with upper body strength and with balance problems. Rather than risk dumping this beautiful machine I am going to be moving on to three-wheeled transportation. (I have a Suzuki V-Strom DL1000 on which I'm going to put a sidecar.) This bike is a beautiful gold-tone metal flake color with black accents. I emphasize that this is a BIG, HEAVY bike – weight is close to 900 pounds and it is considered to be top heavy, so unless you are a large person with decent upper body strength I don't recommend you consider it. The previous owner scuffed it once against a pillar in a parking garage and sanded and painted over the scuff, which can be seen on the passenger side of the fairing. That is the only, small, cosmetic issue for this bike. (Touch-up paint is included.) I've taken it on long hauls – Indiana to Western Massachusetts, Western Massachusetts to Chisasibi, Quebec and back, Western Massachusetts to Columbus, Ohio and back – and it has performed faultlessly, tirelessly. It is a wonderful touring machine. Per Kelley Blue Book of Motorcycle Values this bike retails at $10,855 (without farkles) – a href="http://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/yamaha/royal-star-venture-s/2009-yamaha-royal-star-venture-s/suggestedretailvalue/ and so I think that $9,000.00 is more than fair as it is not cosmetically perfect. There are a couple of scuffs – on a side case and on the right front fairing, which you may be able to see in the photos. However, you won't find a better touring bike at this price. I will deliver this bike within 100 miles of my home. Depending on the weather I'll drive it to you (and incur the resulting increase in mileage). In inclement weather I'll trailer it. It is a very nice and all serviced up bike. I have notes of the service work that have been performed when the bike was last torn down for service. All bearings in the motor and tranny have been replaced. "The BMW R 60 VIN 621434 was manufactured on July 01st, 1960 and delivered on July 20th, 1960 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." Bike was sold originally in 1961 hence it was titled as 1961 and that was a common practice back in the days. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre-1970 BMW bikes I have ever ridden. It is an older restoration. This bike has always been stored in temp. controlled garage and it shows. It is a very clean machine, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor was restored including slingers work, bearings serviced, engine has compression (105 psi each cylinder), clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, horn, also all work as intended. Fairly recent tires and tubes, new wiring harness, reworked heads, new valve covers , new Worx shocks installed, Denfeld solo seat, Hoske style racing exhaust, Low "Magura" Euro handle bars and original tire pump. Top end resealed with brand new set of gaskets and seals, valves adjusted. Ever since we took the pictures we have installed color matching license plate bracket. Runs and rides excellent! Get on and grab a little attention yourself!" For sale a jewel, a1975 Harley Davidson FXE1200 Superglide Shovelhead AMF that is constantly hard to find in such great original condition. Bike has been serviced well, runs and rides excellent, everything works, no surprises, no disappointment. This is a collector dream, no questions asked. If you are looking for one you should know best. You will be hard pressed to find a better looking and running 1975 FX Superglide nowdays. This bike looks to me very good considering its age and rides as good as it looks! Paint on the tank and fenders is new and almost perfect, stilll bike has original paint on the chassis with the original, factory sticker. There is great patina on the frame and drive train that accumulated with years. This Shovelhead is not a trailer queen as pictures show but nice, presentable older Harley that will keep appreciate in value with time. Both front and rear tires are like new, brakes work well, it rides, shifts and stops as it should. I have ridden the bike and shifted all 4 gears, it is a pleasure!! I have not seen any oil leaks on the motor or tranny. This bike has the original wet primary that may seep few drops of oil over time but that is being consider normal with those old shovs. Sweet Harley FX-1200 Shovelhead is all numbers matching and ready for you to ride in style! About Me | See my other items | Email A Friend Description of [1964 BMW R27 Dover White Thumper for sale] For sale or trade vintage survivor, everyday runner, 1964 BMW R27 "Thumper". This model with triple matching vin# and in Dover White color is getting constantly rare and is believed to be one of the best vintage single cylinder machine produced by the BMW. This numbers matching, cosmetically original ( still has pinstriper initial under the tank), totally mechanically serviced, and sound BMW R27 clocks only 9K miles. This cycle has recently had top end re-sealed with new gaskets and seals. It starts easily and runs great. Motorcycle is a survivor quite cosmetically challenged condition as it has never been restored in any way except some touch-ups here and there. Matching triple serial numbers, original Dover White paint, Denfeld Dual seats and more......... This particular example is beautiful with many additions a real BMW enthusiast will appreciate. Ride as is or restore to pristine condition. Some history of the above mentioned motorcycle: "The BMW R 27 was manufactured on Sept. 1st of 1964 and was delivered to Butler & Smith in New York on the 21st of December 1964. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." "Based largely on the R26, in 1960 the R27 added rubber mounts for the engine and boosted power to 18 hp (13 kW). The R27's 250 cc vertical single was the only rubber-mounted thumper engine BMW ever produced, and was their last shaft drive single-cylinder motorcycle. The engine pumped out 18 hp (13 kW), the highest ever for a shaft-drive BMW single. BMW manufactured 15,364 R27 models (engine numbers 372 001 -- 387 566 ) over the production years of 1960 to 1966. Some of the 1966 R27 models were sold as 1967 models because dealers in those years often would assign dates to BMW motorcycles when they sold them, and not necessarily when they were manufactured. The vast majority of R27 motorcycles exported to the United States by BMW were black with white pinstriping. A few, however, were brought in by importer Butler & Smith in a color called Dover white, with black pinstriping. Why "Dover white?" Butler & Smith head honcho, Michael Bondy, had a 1942 Packard automobile in an off-white color called dover white. Bondy sent a sample of this color to BMW AG in Munich and asked that it be duplicated. BMW did copy the color, and Bondy ordered fifty motorcycles in that color. Today, BMW motorcycles in original dover white are a sought-after rarity. BMW did things differently from other manufacturers. This is evident in the R27. Its enclosed shaft final drive is rare for a single cylinder motorcycle. But it also had a triangulated Earles front fork (named after English designer Ernest Earles); so the motorcycle had a front swingarm as well as a rear swingarm. When you squeezed the front brake lever hard not only did the front end not dive, it actually rose slightly. Thus, braking was a very steady activity, though the brakes were weak by today's standards. The engines crankshaft was laid out fore-to-aft, not side- to-side; also a rare feature. This way, the crank and the final shaft were in line, and drive forces did not have to be run through a set of 90-degree gears. Also, the kick starter swung out sideways instead of parallel to the frame, so kick starting an R27 is a rather easy and danger-free affair." Electrical components, brakes all work as intended. The motor sounds pleasant and healthy, tranny shifts smooth and the bike purrs down the road like a kitten. Since the pics were taken we have fitted the bike with correct, original, tapered tail pipe, pictured on the last picture. Bike never dropped or crashed, runs and drives like a 33 y/o champ. When parked will seep few drops of oil from the primary but nothing out of ordinary. Paint is just average, couple of small dings here and there.
