AEROMACCHI SS250 1967 250cc motor SS SX ST HARLEY DAVIDSON. BABY HARLEY. TO BE SOLD ON BILL OF SALE THIS IS a the hard to find early production Aermacchi with a 250 cc motor. TO BE ON BILL OF SALE . No key, no title, not running. I don't have time to pursue this project, so I'm selling it for what I have into it . Selling in "AS IS" CONDTION I obtained this bike from a long time friend last year with the intentions of restoring it. He had been stored in a shed for years in Georgia, then brought it here to New York. Otherwise, I know very little about the internal condition. The motor appears complete and one time I was able to turn it over with compression (last year).. I tried to shift it and now the kick levers seems stuck and I can't get it un-stuck. Isee that the old clutch cable popped from bracket, so the clutch isn't operating. This may be causing the hang up. I would rather not get into it and will leave that part to the new buyer, who knows more than I do about this brand. The metal parts are solid, but the bike needs a missing seat, and tail lamp. . Fuel tanks, instruments (speedo and tach), ignition coil , carb, air cleaner, controls, rear and front fenders, and both tool boxes are present, as well as a completed headlamp. The fork is straight and fork tubes appear to have compression. The instruments are good but some condensation inside glass0. The key switch is present but no key Sadly, there is a significant build up of rust on wheel rims, spokes and rear shocks. Both tires are rotted and need to be replaced The handle bars look like crap. The fuel tank solid.with only some surface rust. All the cables will need replacement ( EBAY) . The rear brake cable is also disconnected Photos indicated that the older models did not come with a frame support cradle. It appears as if someone tried to install one. I can't figure it out, but the cradle goes with the bike, It is not permanently attached I guess it can be used or discarded. I'm not sure. Most people love the Aermacchi and the fact it says Harley on the motor cases This is a cool looking bike and has a lot of potential for kicking around on the cheap. With parts available on EBAY it would be easy to return this bike to original for about $200. With a little TLC this bike could be worth double or triple the asking price. This bike is inexpensive to get into, and a good candidate for restoration, You can even use it as a parts donor or make it into a race bike. This is a 47 year old motorcycle, so see my photos for a final description. NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE ON ANYTHING AND IT IS NOT RUNNING Buyer must arrange shipping. I will assist the shipper . I generally use PAYPAL and will need a $300 non-refundable deposit at the end of the auction. Prefer full payment within 3 days. Can hold 30 days for pick-up. GOOD LUCK BIDDING

1961 Aermacchi Harley-Davidson Sprint model C 250cc, Italian Moto Art, custom, fresh build. This 1961 Aermacchi Harley-Davidson 250 Sprint model C is a recently finished build, I have ridden it 472 miles as can be seen on the N.O.S. (new old stock) Aermacchi Harley-Davidson Sprint bar and shield speedometer. Harley-Davidson bought into the Italian firm Aermacchi in 1960 and 1961 was the first production year for the Sprint, yes, these were made in Italy. You can see by the serial number that this is an early production bike. The early Sprint's such as this one still used the plain engine side covers that did not have the Harley-Davidson name identification on them. This bike was disassembled and sand blasted and bead blasted as required. The engine was disassembled and rebuilt as required. The engine is stock other than a one tooth larger counter shaft sprocket. No additional modifications, so it has the desired performance, reliability and ride-ability it was designed for. The handle bars, tank, and seat are custom fitted to the bike, along with many other subtle items, including the hand made wiring harness and leather tank strap. Stainless fasteners were used when possible, the original patina was left where desired. This design along with the clear coated 1939 Ford Jefferson blue, polished brass, hammered metallic black, chrome and polished aluminum give it a beautiful contrast. This bike draws people like bears to honey, and is inspiring to say the least. Absolutely a beautiful thing.I have and have had many vintage bikes, this one is one of the most fun. You will not find another one like it. This is a great in town and back roads cruiser. This Sprint will do over 50 mph in 3rd gear which is perfect for back roads and I have had it over 70 mph in 4th gear on the highway and it was not straining or topped out, 4th gear is like an overdrive. The bike handles great and is a joy to ride, it brings an extended smile to anyone that rides it. A few features of this custom built motorcycle: 1930's era automotive headlight with brass ring and hand fitted running light, L.E.D. turn signals, brass wrapped and illuminated remote mounted speedometer, hand fitted vintage sign faceted glass fork reflectors, star embossed fender washers, stainless fork boot and cable ties, under seat vintage brass fire extinguisher (empty), custom fitted package rack, hand built brass tail light with L.E.D. tail, brake and license lights, hand fitted shark fin exhaust system, custom made brass rear seat plate and points cover plate. A few of the new parts in this build: N.O.S. ignition coilN.O.S. H-D gas tank, with new petcock and capN.O.S. Aermacchi Harley-Davidson Sprint bar and shield speedometer and cableN.O.S. front and rear sprocketsN.O.S. carburetor rebuild componentsN.O.S. front and rear spokes and nipplesN.O.S. steering ball bearingsN.O.S. fork boots N.O.S. handle bar mount rubbersengine parts as requiredrear shockshandle bars and grips Pirelli tires front and rearinner tubes and rim stripsH4 60/55 watt halogen headlight bulbdiamond crystal headlight reflector asy.Iridium spark plug fork sealsO-ring chainhandlebar multi switch running light switchclutch & brake lever assemblies all control cables and throttle assemblySHORAI Extrem-rate LIFEPO4 LFX LITHIUM BATTERY, Ultra light 1.27 pounds, zero sulfation, with military spec carbon composite case.seat and springsshark fin mufflerrear fender package racksolid state voltage regulator A very cool and unique bike to say the least, it turns heads everywhere it goes. The bike does have some minuscule imperfections associated with wanting an old school feel but overall it could easily be taken to shows and give people a real treat for their eyes.It starts, runs, rides, and stops like a 1961 Italian made Aermacchi Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Everything on it works as well as it ever did when new, perhaps even better. This Sprint is very nice, with countless hours put into building it. It truly is a running working piece of Italian Moto Art. This bike would be at home as an art piece in your office, den, or personal collection. 1961, (First year for the Sprint.) 250cc4 speed transmissionThis is a numbers matching bike, frame and engine numbers match: 61C1528 1939 Ford Jefferson Blue I am the owner/builder, I have a clear title in my name. $500.00 non-refundable deposit to be paid thru PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. Balance to be paid within 7 days of auction end with cash, bank cashiers check or a money order. For international buyers a bank wire will be accepted for the balance after the PayPal deposit has been paid. This motorcycle is sold "as is", no warranty, no returns accepted. Please do not ask me about shipping costs, I do not know, that is the bidders responsibility. I will be available most days to help the hauler load this motorcycle.

1963 Harley Davidson AERMACCHI Sprint 250cc Serial Number 63H1477. This Bike Is A Barn Find With 14,274 Miles. Bike Has Been Sitting In Storage For Several Years. It Came From California. As You Will See In The Pictures It Is Very Complete But Lacking Front And Tail Light Lenses, Air Filter, Muffler. It Has The Up-Swept Pipe. The Gas Tank Is In Nice Shape With A Little Surface Rust. Gas Tank Cap Is Stuck (Nothing That Some WD 40 Couldn't Solve). Note: No Title. Call your license bureau about the procedure to get a new title and plates, which would cost around $50. (Even if I got it in MN, you would have to transfer the title in your state, which would cost app. $50.)No Dents On Fenders Or Tank. The Bike Also Rolls Freely. The Front Brakes Work. The Motor Turns Over. Transmission Shifts. Front tire is 3.OO18. Rear is 3.5OH18, most likely steel alloy, with some surface rust. Original Paint. Nada and Kelley Blue Book value is $1,225 for Fair; $1,565 for Good. I would consider this bike to fall between those conditions. This Is A Rare Find And Great Bike To Restore. A recent TV Episode of 'Café Racer' Was About Making A Café Racer Out Of An Old Sprint, It Looked Great When It Was Done.(These bikes sell for about $4,000-$4,500.) I Think It Is A Good Platform To Start With. The Sprint motorcycle is able to reach a top speed of 115 km/h thanks to its overhead valve, air-cooled single engine. Weight is 271 pounds. In 1969 when AMF bought the company they near drove Harley Davidson out of business. This is an Aermacchi! NOT AN AMF! I could not find many, if any 1963 models around. Especially on eBay! I know it looks rough but it's almost all there! Buyer is responsible for pick up. I will accept PayPal, cash, cleared money order/ cashier check. Local Pickup. Signed by Mert Lawwill 1967 Aermacchi 350cc Racer Aeronautica Macchi, soon only Aermacchi, was founded in 1912 by Giulio Macchi on the shores of Lake Varese north of Milan, Italy, to manufacture seaplanes. After WW II the company began producing motorcycles and in 1960 the Harley-Davidson Motor Company purchased 50% of the motorcycle division to secure a source of small capacity machines. The remaining half was sold to AMF H-D in 1974. Harley sold the company in 1978 to Cagiva to then launch them as a motorcycle manufacturer. Aermacchi created their "horizontal" 4-stroke single in 1956 first as a 175cc in the Chimera, soon a 250...the race versions usually to be known as the Ala d'Oro (Golden Wing). Using Harley-Davidson investment capital Aermacchi got to work and once they moved up a class (from 250 to 350) - Aermacchi offered the first 350cc engine in 1964 – the new, bigger motor promptly scored 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th places at the Isle of Man (350cc) Junior TT against a bunch of 2-stroke lightweight twins. After a redesign in 1966, 250cc and 350cc Aermacchi racers were models of reliability. It's these short-stroke machines – think north of 33 horsepower - that are so popular in today's AHRMA racing in the US and historic racing around the world. With so much intermingling of parts and specifications, a race bike is often made up of from the best components for the job. So it is with the unquestionably beautiful bike offered here. It consists of a 350cc dry clutch motor in a 1967 Sprint H style frame, an Ala Verde style peanut-shape tank, and a twin-leading shoe front brake. Built to race, the bike was then subject to a comprehensive and complete restoration and since has been meticulously stored and displayed in a prominent Southern California collection. With only shake down miles on the rebuild, the bike will need re-commissioning before returning to the track. I would suggest tires in that. Although he never rode the bike, it was signed by Mert Lawwill's, who saw it at a concours event and expressed his appreciation for the quality of the build. Beautiful as it unquestionably is, the bike is ready to start and run or to take pride of place as a museum exhibit, such is the quality of the restoration and build. Offered on a Bill of Sale

Purchased bike from original owner for bike show purposes. I'm not a rider. Only 480 miles on this vintage bike! Have been in the process of restoring it to original. Bike was fully inspected and all key operating parts serviced/exchanged in 2013: replaced fuel line (although residual leak), enlaced and repaired carburetor, petcock and condenser, wheel and brake check, new tires, clutch serviced, new jiffy stand (original) replaced and foot pegs, new battery, lights and regulator. Shop team member rode it home to me for delivery! To finish full restore will include paint, chrome and seat. College tuition for my kids need my attention more than the bike now. History of the Sprint: In 1960 Harley Davidson bought 50% of Aermacchi's motorcycle division. Importation of Aermacchi's 250cc began in 1961. Harley Davidson put their name on the Italian bike and marketed it as the Harley Davidson Sprint. More to the story if you Google it... fun facts! Service and part books, which I purchased separately, included in the sale. If you're into vintage bikes, you'll love this one! Needs a little more TLC and its good to go!
