I have a very nice AMF Harley Davidson 250SX. This is one of 469 sold in 1978 so for this particular year it is a very rear bike. The bike has been kept up very good and has a lot of info on what has been done to over the years. The pervious owner took very good care and upkeep on bike. It has a clear Ohio Title and is ready to go. This bike will be for pick up only in Akron Ohio don't be afraid to put out a offer

Ok so the history on this nice lil z90 is as such. grandfather bought it new. played it it for years around his home, gave to adult sone, he put it in storage, Before grandfather died he gave it to Grandson (who i am selling it for) Grandon got all the paperwork straight, its a clean NY title.  The bike was not running right, we brought it in cleaned fixed the carbs, it runs on the 2nd kick, I will put a link up for a video of it running off youtube when I can get to it. The picks make it look kind of worse than it it, we have a great camera and the flash amplifies the rust/dirt. This will be for local pick up, if you want it shipped I will quote skidding it and boxing ($75) it, plus shipping cost, But only after the bike has been paid for. I will not run around getting 25 quotes for 25 addresses for tire kickers, if you buy you should do some shipping homework before bidding.

Signed by Mert Lawwill 1967 Aermacchi 350cc Racer Aeronautica Macchi, soon only Aermacchi, was founded in 1912 by Giulio Macchi on the shores of Lake Varese north of Milan, Italy, to manufacture seaplanes. After WW II the company began producing motorcycles and in 1960 the Harley-Davidson Motor Company purchased 50% of the motorcycle division to secure a source of small capacity machines. The remaining half was sold to AMF H-D in 1974. Harley sold the company in 1978 to Cagiva to then launch them as a motorcycle manufacturer. Aermacchi created their "horizontal" 4-stroke single in 1956 first as a 175cc in the Chimera, soon a 250...the race versions usually to be known as the Ala d'Oro (Golden Wing). Using Harley-Davidson investment capital Aermacchi got to work and once they moved up a class (from 250 to 350) - Aermacchi offered the first 350cc engine in 1964 – the new, bigger motor promptly scored 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th places at the Isle of Man (350cc) Junior TT against a bunch of 2-stroke lightweight twins. After a redesign in 1966, 250cc and 350cc Aermacchi racers were models of reliability. It's these short-stroke machines – think north of 33 horsepower - that are so popular in today's AHRMA racing in the US and historic racing around the world. With so much intermingling of parts and specifications, a race bike is often made up of from the best components for the job. So it is with the unquestionably beautiful bike offered here. It consists of a 350cc dry clutch motor in a 1967 Sprint H style frame, an Ala Verde style peanut-shape tank, and a twin-leading shoe front brake. Built to race, the bike was then subject to a comprehensive and complete restoration and since has been meticulously stored and displayed in a prominent Southern California collection. With only shake down miles on the rebuild, the bike will need re-commissioning before returning to the track. I would suggest tires in that. Although he never rode the bike, it was signed by Mert Lawwill's, who saw it at a concours event and expressed his appreciation for the quality of the build. Beautiful as it unquestionably is, the bike is ready to start and run or to take pride of place as a museum exhibit, such is the quality of the restoration and build. Offered on a Bill of Sale

1963 Harley Davidson AERMACCHI Sprint 250cc Serial Number 63H1477. This Bike Is A Barn Find With 14,274 Miles. Bike Has Been Sitting In Storage For Several Years. It Came From California. As You Will See In The Pictures It Is Very Complete But Lacking Front And Tail Light Lenses, Air Filter, Muffler. It Has The Up-Swept Pipe. The Gas Tank Is In Nice Shape With A Little Surface Rust. Gas Tank Cap Is Stuck (Nothing That Some WD 40 Couldn't Solve). Note: No Title. Call your license bureau about the procedure to get a new title and plates, which would cost around $50. (Even if I got it in MN, you would have to transfer the title in your state, which would cost app. $50.)No Dents On Fenders Or Tank. The Bike Also Rolls Freely. The Front Brakes Work. The Motor Turns Over. Transmission Shifts. Front tire is 3.OO18. Rear is 3.5OH18, most likely steel alloy, with some surface rust. Original Paint. Nada and Kelley Blue Book value is $1,225 for Fair; $1,565 for Good. I would consider this bike to fall between those conditions. This Is A Rare Find And Great Bike To Restore. A recent TV Episode of 'Café Racer' Was About Making A Café Racer Out Of An Old Sprint, It Looked Great When It Was Done.(These bikes sell for about $4,000-$4,500.) I Think It Is A Good Platform To Start With. The Sprint motorcycle is able to reach a top speed of 115 km/h thanks to its overhead valve, air-cooled single engine. Weight is 271 pounds. In 1969 when AMF bought the company they near drove Harley Davidson out of business. This is an Aermacchi! NOT AN AMF! I could not find many, if any 1963 models around. Especially on eBay! I know it looks rough but it's almost all there! Buyer is responsible for pick up. I will accept PayPal, cash, cleared money order/ cashier check. Local Pickup. If Shipping Arrangements Are Made By You, I Will Be Of Assistance. Zip For Pickup Is 55056. This is app. 45 miles north of Minneapolis-St. Paul on I-35. Delivery within 100 miles of 55056 is possible or to meet you half-way (round-trip gas at 50¢ per mile). You must unload.
