SALE ENDS SUNDAY SEPT. 28th. AROUND 11:30 PM I have a 1975 Harley Super Glide. It has mild period mods that would have been done in the era. It has NOT been chopped or modified to the point of loosing its original identity. Collectors are taking note as prices of original AMF bikes are bringing money and that is great. Today it is next to impossible to find a nice original bike with good bones untill now. The best part of THIS bike is the factory original parts that would be impossible to find are here still with it after all these years. The original paint AMF Harley Davidson Bread Loaf tank. The Superglide seat. The original low rise handle bars, The Sporty shock tubes that gave the bike the unmistakeable rake. The black rubber pegs and the AMF license plate frame anti theft alarm are not pictured. As it sits now it has Fatbobs, Forward Controls, Buck Horn Handle bars and extended front tubes that give it the chop look. It has lots of chrome. Mechanical updates include an S&S carb. The Shovel has a sound of its own. What sets this bike apart from a new one is not only would it be less expensive to buy and own. It is collectible as well and you wouldn't get hammered when you decided to sell. But although the latter is true the real cool factor is not only does it have an electric start but also has a kick start. This bike is right. When cold it will start within two kicks. Want to impress your friends? Start this bad boy like a man! Real men Kick and start their Harley! The bike has very low miles. Title says 22K Speedo says 2837 miles. Was told it had a recent top end. Tires are good. This thing is ready to roll. My old man rode a 70's Superglide back in the day like this. I have looked for years for a very nice FXE like it. The ultimate find!!! Better than a barn find. A one-owner, very original, classic!!! 1970 Shovelhead FLH. The King of the Highway!!! Here's her story... This bike was owned since new in Sept. of 1969 by a gent who passed away just last year. This bike was his baby as you can see and he loved her dearly. He rode her until his death in 2014. So because this bike never sat for decades as most finds do, she runs and rides right now!!! (See videos provided for more on this). And here's what makes this bike even more special... as a 1970 it is a 1st yr. cone Shovel, and last yr. pre-AMF buyout. Notice the tank badges, there is NO AMF in them!!! No bowlingball machines here baby!!! And what makes this already historically significant bike an even more rare find is that the one owner who loved this bike dearly since beginning on the day he rolled her off of the showroom floor until the day he passed in 2014 put every period correct accessory on it that he could. And because he was a New Yorker he did this in the Brooklyn style which is known by collectors the world over for its eye appeal. I mean just check out the chrome deck on the back of this bike!!! And everything works!!! Every light lights up!!! In fact everything on this bike works as it should. (Again, see the videos of this bike running and rolling down the street). The only thing missing on this bike is the original radio system in the fairing, and the updated CD player has been taken out since the videos were made to make room for the new owner to put the a stock one back in should they choose to. We have been able to locate several but have opted to leave this alone allowing the new owner to address this should they choose to. The original carb is still working well though the original owner chucked the ham-can in favor of one that better fit the "bling" approach to accessorizing that he loved. And in fact it actually says "Shovelhead" on it. We think it looks pretty cool, as do all of his add-ons, minor modifications, and accessories. Selling my 1972 FLH Harley Davidson. This bike is truly a classic. It was the second year that AMF owned Harley Davidson and is equipped with the shovel head engine. I recently spent $4,300.00 on bike with paid itemized description invoices that will go with bike. Transmission was completely rebuilt,engine fresh repair and parts as needed, new battery, new tires, cables,carb rebuilt, front and rear brakes totally redone, and list goes on and on. Everything works on the bike including stereo. Runs and rides excellent. ALL add ons on bike are Harley Davidson manufactured and very unique to find a bike of this era dressed as it is. The bike shows 42,000 miles on the odometer. To me, the worst part of the bike is the color, black and a 70s yellow. I was originally going to paint it all black. Researching this bike, my price is extremely reasonable and the price on a Harley like this will only increase. Although the bike is a resto-mod it is fairly original, numbers matching frame, motor, original front end, fenders and tanks. The rims are RC Components pieces ($3000 value) complemented with a matching rear sprocket. Extra wide bars, chrome foot and hand controls, Chromed Locomotive Style Front end, GMA Brakes front and rear with SS braided lines. This bike is a nicest FLH from the era I have seen around for the money. The motor is a 1200ccm, 74 Cubic Inches Shovelhead type, around 30K Miles with 4 speed transmission. Bike runs and rides great, the looks are stunning as you can see from the pictures, only few owners from new!!!. This FLH has a lot of character and needs similar person to ride it.
