It is an old shovelhead nevertheless and may need some tinkering from time to time. Have you ever wanted a nice big twin Harley but could not afford one?? Here is your chance to get an eye catcher as never before. Bike shows ~29K miles on the clock. I was told the top end was done few years ago and the top end seals and gaskets just recently. I have not seen any oil leaks on the drive train, nor any drips on the garage floor but since it is a Shovelhead it may seep few drops of oil from the primary, (it is a Shovelhead, remember?). Paint very nice, couple of small dings here and there touched up, not noticeable. The electrical components all work as intended, brakes both works very well, I will swap the kicker for the swing out kicker to clear the pipes when kick starting. Those OEM 2-1 exhaust pipes are bulky. Some spot rust on front wheel rim. Tach moves but does not show RPM readings correctly. For sale a jewel, 1976 AMF Harley Davidson FX-1200 Superglide Shovelhead that is constantly hard to find in such great original condition. Bike has been serviced well, runs and rides excellent, everything works, no surprises, no disappointment. This is a collector dream, no questions asked. If you are looking for one you know best. Very honest motorcycle, one will be hard pressed to find a better looking and running 1976 FXE-1200 Superglide now days. This bike looks to me very good considering its age and rides as good as it looks! Paint on the tank and fenders shows some patina, bike has original paint on the chassis as well with the original, factory sticker. The patina on the frame and drive train that accumulated with years shows well the bike heritage. This Shovelhead is not a trailer queen as pictures show but nice, presentable, older Harley that will keep appreciate in value with time. Both front and rear tires are Dunlop and like new, brakes work well, it rides, shifts and stops as it should. I have ridden the bike and shifted all 4 gears, it is a pleasure!! I have not seen any oil leaks on the motor or tranny. This bike has the original wet primary that may seep few drops of oil over time but that is being consider normal with those old Shovs. Sweet Harley FXE-1200 Superglide Shovelhead is all numbers matching and ready for you to ride in style! 1982 Harley Davidson FLT Tour Glide. Own a piece of history. First year Harley being bought back from AMF. I bought this bike with all intention of building my own personalized tour glide. The bike was too nice to start dismantling. I wanted to offer it up for someone who would drive it as their own, or for collection purposes. Was a family owned bike until I purchased, from uncle, to father , to son. The son had it restored 10 years ago, powder coating frame and having the metallic red paint refinished with all appropriate decals, including the fender emblem which he said was 100.00 in itself. Engine stamping matches title, so this is the original 80 cubic inch engine that was on the bike at time of manufacture. Seems to run and function all just fine other than a slight tappet noise on let back of throttle. Have not had experience with shovels and this may be normal or not, I was going to adjust tappets if I continue to drive this week if weather permits. I will stop driving as soon as I have an offer or a bid. This bike is for sale locally, and I retain the right to end the auction if I sell it for my asking price. I am also driving bike now so if anything where to happen to it, I would also end auction. Local pickup only. Contact me with any questions. First four picks of bike on trailer do not have original seat. That is replaced now. All following pictures are of bike as of current. Bike is sold as is where is. Since the pics were taken we have fitted the bike with correct, original, tapered tail pipe, pictured on the last picture. Bike never dropped or crashed, runs and drives like a 33 y/o champ. Here is the original item description: A 1975 Harley Davidson custom motorcycle. The frame on this bike is a rare and genuine 1975 Harley Davidson FX Hardtail. The hardtail was custom fabricated by AMF Harley Davidson in 1975 back when the offered such custom feature. It sports a custom tribal wide glide front end. Chrome billet triple trees with a .38 degree rake. Brand new 2007 Harley heritage classic spoke wheels with new classic whitewall tires; diamond glass headlight - super bright. custom solo seat. Has a ratchet top transmission, suicide clutch hand shift: The frame numbers have been run by the California Highway patrol - however no title accompanies this bike. It will be registered as a 1975 Harley Davidson FX. I have the bill of sale when I purchased this bike and I will provide a bill of sale to the new owner for purposes of registration. He's done that a couple times at stop signs, but been able to recover quick enough to not hit the ground.Now he doesn't want to take chances and that's why the fairing is damaged and why he didn't re-up the registration, but did take out a NON-OP on her, and now we are sellin' her. And what makes this already historically significant bike an even more rare find is that the one owner who loved this bike dearly since beginning on the day he rolled her off of the showroom floor until the day he passed in 2014 put every period correct accessory on it that he could. And because he was a New Yorker he did this in the Brooklyn style which is known by collectors the world over for its eye appeal. I mean just check out the chrome deck on the back of this bike!!! And everything works!!! Every light lights up!!! In fact everything on this bike works as it should. (Again, see the videos of this bike running and rolling down the street). The only thing missing on this bike is the original radio system in the fairing, and the updated CD player has been taken out since the videos were made to make room for the new owner to put the a stock one back in should they choose to. We have been able to locate several but have opted to leave this alone allowing the new owner to address this should they choose to. The original carb is still working well though the original owner chucked the ham-can in favor of one that better fit the "bling" approach to accessorizing that he loved. And in fact it actually says "Shovelhead" on it. We think it looks pretty cool, as do all of his add-ons, minor modifications, and accessories. As a special edition Sportster designed personally by Willie G. Davidson to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson, this is one of a limited edition of only 2323 bikes out of 40,000 that year. This is an extremely original survivor, having only 15 thousand miles on the odometer! Show judges could use this bike as a reference! A featured model in the Harley-Davidson Motor Co. Archive Collection, this is a genuine made in the USA special edition that is sure to continue to appreciate in value. The bike came dressed out in black, highlighted in gold. There is a gold and black Anniversary nameplate. The fenders, gas tank, and oil tank were all pinstriped by hand in gold at the factory. The wheels are the original 9-spoked cast wheels, finished in gold. Everything on the bike is 98% factory original, with very little signs of age. There is a small (quarter-size) indentation that is barely seen in the right side of the gas tank, and there are minor chips that have been touched up, and the expected patina of 15k factory original miles. The exhaust has been replaced with an original that is pretty fresh (new muffler, header not blued yet), and we have the old set saved to go with the bike. The original Owners Manual is included. 1973 HARLEY-DAVIDSON ELECTRA- GLIDE FLH I am proud to offer my amazing 1973 HARLEY-DAVIDSON ELECTRA-GLIDE FLH to you for sale . It is an all numbers matching, 9835 original mile example that has to be seen to appreciate . My Father and Mother (SYL & MILDRED ) purchased the bike @ Harley-Davidson of Las Vegas on April 28, 1973. My Mother was fanatic about keeping every single douument & item that came with the bike when purchased new, and Mom kept meticulous records . I went with my Mother to pick up the bike at the dealership when it arrived. It had 3.2 miles on the odometer. I was 18 yrs. old when I road it home. My Father cherished his new Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide and only road it once or twice a month. Dad would only ride it when I could ride by his side . Finally in 1983, Dad gave me his prized Harley. The bike had 2100 miles on the odometer. I had several motorcycles at the time so I only road it on special occasions. The bike has been garaged its entire life, has never fallen over or been damaged in any way, and as of November 2016 it has only 9835 original miles on the odometer . All of the paint is 100% original no touch up whatsoever! There is only one scratch on the right side of the gas tank, and a couple of minor scatches & rubs on the fairing, etc., as can be expected with an original motorcycle that is nearly 44 years old. These are things that could have easily been touched up but I was adament to keep this classic bike just as original as humanly possible. Overall condition is absolutely amazing and as original as they come, period! The black paint w/silver strobe stripe is such a classic paint scheme and has been my favorite factory paint design. In October 2014, I decided to go through the bike from front to back, cleaning things up and making sure that all mechanical functions were 100%. This extensive job included: complete flushing of the system (engine,oil tank & transmission), replaced oil lines, OEM clamps, new oil presure sending unit, new bushings for handlebars, rebuilt master cyclinders, rebuilt brake calipers, new brake lines, new brake pads, new front fork tubes and seals, new clutch cable, new choke cable, new petcock and fuel line, rebuilt original carb, new battery, new starter relay. The motor and transmission remained in the frame and were never taken apart or disassembled at all. After completing the extensive cleaning and maintenance job, the bike was filled with w/Revtech 25w-60 oil and turned over but not started. No fuel has been put in bike since. The new owner can take delivery like it is or we can put fuel in it and have it in perfect running order. New OEM style tires were mounted on the bike, but the original tires (which are in exceptional condition for their age) will of course go to to the new owner.
