2000 Aprilia Rsv MILLE, 2000 Aprilia RSV Mille Italian Sportbike http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSV_Mille Black/Silver with red accents 2 owner bike ~16750k+ miles and increasing as I am driving more getting ready for sale Condition- Overall very good tires - very good. Have approx 2000 miles on them, they are Contential Road Attack, which have more than enough grip and last longer when turned by the ferocious tourqe of the 1000cc rotax. Engine- Excellent, always serviced. Other than service, the only problems have been a 26 dollar oil pressure sensor, and changing out the fuel lines(the originals are prone to melting in ethanol gasoline) Has aftermarket Renegade chip and Two Brothers exhaust. Clutch/Transmission- Very good, smooth up and down through the gears Suspension/brakes- easily adjustable. Very smooth ride compared to Asian bikes Ive ridden. Brembo` brakes are smooth under hard braking. Adjustable SACHS suspension. REAR BRAKE WORKS GREAT!! Body- Very good. Right lower is the only panel with any scratches; light scratches to the paint and a chrome sticker in this area were the result of leaning the bike against a mower in an overcrowed garage. You only see these if you get down and look for them. I planned on fixing this when I acquired the bike 8 years ago, but it really hasnt bothered me, since the only time i notice it is when I am washing the area. Comes with passenger seat and the original seat cowl. The passenger seat is very wide, and much more seat than current production sportbikes. The Good- The engine power and sound, the handling, the room not built for a Leprechaun like more modern literbikes. The looks; still looks great after 10 years after being in production. This bodystyle aprilia is already considered a modern classic. The build quality is second to none, it is even better than the newer Aprilia I have which is also for sale. Even though this is an Italian stallion, the rotax engine is Austrian bulletproof. Parts are not hard to get and are no more expensive than any other motorcycle. The Bad- The only forseeable maintenance would be to replace the chain and sprockets. There is only about .5 inch of adjustment left to tightnen it, and it seems to have a tight link that you can feel when going really slow. The "ugly???"- The before mentioned scratches on the right lower. Paint has normal wear for a 17000 mile bike, which isnt really much. The black still looks great if you keep the dust off it. Email for more pictures/video. Extras- Original manual, original tool kit, stock chip, CD with manual and manintenace manual http://www.mcnews.com.au/testing/Aprilia/RSV1000/Page1.htm http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/aprilia_rsv_mille_2000.php Everything you need to know and more http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 Trade for sport tourer. The Aprilia Futura is fantastic as both a daily commuter and a long distance sport tour ride. I've used it for both. As a commuter, it's got the low RPM pull V-Twins excel at. Slow speed maneuvers are easy. For touring, matching saddlebags and windshield are standard. The ride angle is forward, but moderate. GenMar risers lift the handlebars and lets you up a bit more. I'm 5' 10" and have ridden the bike up to 2000 miles at a time on tours and felt good. The stock seat is the best I've ever sat on, and the tush proffers minimum complaints after a full day in the saddle. I've had it for 5 years and am only letting it go since I've decided to try Adventure Touring for a change. A summary of the bike:*Title: Clear and no lien holder*Country of Origin: Italy *Year: 2001*Mileage: 56,380. (see below for details)*Engine: Rotax designed and built V-60 990cc V-Twin. Same engine as Aprilia's Mille Race bike, but factory configured and tuned for touring. *Engine work done: The only major work was the Timing Chains' Replacement at 45,000 miles. This engine is amazing and solid. Check with an Aprilia dealer: besides this work, there are few or no major items to be concerned with. The Valves were checked at that point. The Valve check interval is 16000 miles, but I've rarely heard of anybody actually needing theirs adjusted. Rock solid. *Electric Grips with two heat settings.*Powerlet BMW style Accessory outlet.*Steering head bearing was replaced less than one year ago.*New Starter Solenoid was installed a couple hundred miles ago.*The ignition Power and Ground Wires and connections were replaced for reliability recently (by the dealer)*Color: Silver with blue-green highlights*Chain and Sprockets: 5000 miles and in very good condition.*Tires: Front has low mileage and good tread. It is a Michelin Pilot Power 2-TC dual compound. Rear is almost new and tread is excellent. It is a Michelin Power Road-3.*K&N Air Filter*Recent Dealer installed Rectifier (with all the recommended Wire mods for good voltage and reliability)*Stock under seat Pipe. Sounds nice, is also relatively quiet. Aftermarket pipes are available for those who want to be loud. *Gas Tank: Last Winter I installed a new and unused gas tank. I coated it internally first with Gas Tank Epoxy to prevent Ethanol interaction with the tank.*Plastic has some wear and scratches. Saddle Bags have some. The new tank has a couple of nicks. That's why it was available at the dealer.*Factory ECM with 2005 (the latest) Mapping, no PowerCommander or TuneBoy mods*Oil: I have ONLY run Amsoil Synthetic motorcycle oil. *Speed: One time I rolled back on the throttle when the needle passed 140 mph. It was still accelerating towards 150. *Mileage Details and disclosure: Some Futura's had their dash fail. Mine did. The solution was to replace the dash. This occurred at 20,000 miles. At that point the displayed mileage began again at 0.0 miles. In sum, although the odometer now reads 36,380, the true mileage is 56,380. I suppose I could have kept this secret. I know though, and I'll risk the sale to be honest about it. Cycle World Review: APRILIA RST 1000 FUTURA – BEST USED BIKESBest Sport-Touring Bike, 2001.August 13, 2010 By Cycle World are on facebookShare on twitterShare on emailShare on printShare on gmailShare on stumbleuponShare on favoritesMore Shari MSRP new: $12,999Basic specs: A 998cc, 60-degree V-Twin pumping out 94 horsepower and 60 ft.-lb. of torque that pushed the fuel-injected, fully faired, 518-pound machine to a 11.48-second/118.08-mph quarter-mile and a top speed of 145 mph.Why it won: The angularly styled Futura (which, in its matte black version, does a fair imitation of an F-117 stealth fighter) places its major emphasis on the “sport” half of its sport-touring mission. Its engine, based on that of the RSV Mille repli-racer, was retuned for more midrange, but its aluminum chassis is all its own. Its standout features include a single-sided swingarm, an under-tail exhaust, quick-detach hard saddlebags and the most comfortable seat ever bolted onto any motorcycle that had the word “sport” in its description. On the open highway, the Futura is a pleasant ride, even though its semi-sporty riding position is not quite as long-day comfy as that of some other bikes in the category. But on a twisty backroad, it carves up the curves just about as effectively as its racier sibling. From the 2001 Ten Best story: “The Mille-based V-Twin makes competitive power, and its twin-spar aluminum chassis elevates class standards for handling. And the styling…well, love it or leave it, the Italian designers deserve credit for daring to be different.”Useful resources: Not many Futuras were sold over the bike’s five-year run in the U.S., so they’re hard to find; but when one is for sale, it usually is quite reasonably priced. If you manage to locate one, you probably can scoop it up for less than half of its original price and end up with an exceptionally capable motorcycle. Due to its rarity, there isn’t a world of information available about them on the Internet; but you will find a few offered for sale, along with some dedicated forums, a number of reviews and a variety of other related tidbits.

2003 Aprilia Falco SL R, Due to my need of a better mpg-friendly commuter bike, I am selling my Falco. It is a blast to ride, with tons of torque from the Austrian made 996cc V-twin Rotax engine. Producing a unique, exotic throaty exhaust report this beast really turns heads. It has 20,000 miles (still going up/commuter/driven about 3 or 4 times a week). I purchased it in August 2013 with 12,900 miles. The vast majority of the miles I put on are highway miles commuting between Brenham and Bellville. It is garage kept and while at work it remains covered. This bike has been meticulously cared for and pampered by this 37 year-old owner. Never "stunted" nor raced. Oil changes are performed every 2000-2500 miles. I have the history from the original owner including the original purchase order. Tires are Pirelli Diablo in front and a Pirelli Angel on the rear and tread life remaining is about 45%. I know what the Blue Books appraise the 2003 Aprilia SL 1000 Falco R for but they do not account for the following upgrades: Ohlins TTX remote-adjustable-preload rear shock - $1290. Ohlins internals in front forks - $325 Blue Flame (European brand) carbon fiber exhaust - $475 Power Commander III USB - $360 Sprag clutch assembly (replaced last month; not figuring dealer-labor into this price) - $370 Brembo brakes from factory Gabro custom EPROM chip (Adds power and reliability) Oberon clutch slave cylinder (This bike has a hydraulic clutch; Oberon for increased comfort and control) $153 NGK Iridium spark plugs and 8.8mm high performance spark plug wires Carbon Fiber front fender-dash-face surrounding the gauges-top of triple clamp and tank protector. Evoluzione Billet shorty 54mm velocity stacks, Evoluzione open airbox kit and high flow air filter, factory de-restricted with Aprilia Falco airboot, Heli Bar risers (raises bars about 1 over factory), Skidmarx tinted Double Bubble wind screen, Sargent driver seat, have both rear seat and separate cowl for solo riding, Superlite JS7 rear sprocket and D.I.D. 525 VX X-ring chain replaced 3 months ago, fender eliminator, integrated tail lights and rear blinkers, flush mount LED front blinkers, black Billet control levers. The clutch has heavy duty springs and kevlar clutch fibers. The ride height at the rear shock is adjustable on the shock and at the linkage. I'm 6'5" so it's at the highest setting of both. This bike is fairly "mellow" below 5000rpm but once it hits it goes ballistic so I do not recommend for inexperienced riders. Will trade for the right 2001-2005 Yamaha FZ1, Suzuki SV1000 or another comparable bike.I may ask for money on top of your bike depending on value. Thanks for looking! $4,900.00

2003 Aprilia Rsv MILLE, This is a 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille and this thing is a BEAST! Its a 1000cc super sport that I have had for about a year now. It has a delkevick exhaust on it but I also have the original aprilia racing exhaust. I have only put about 2000 miles on it in the year I have had it. Its been parked in the garage other than that. It runs perfect in every way and with the v-twin engine it has torque for DAYS. $6,000.00 3017282051

2004 Aprilia RST1000 Tuono Of the fourteen bikes I have owned over a period of 40 years of riding bikes, this is the most impressive. It's 998cc V-twin Rotex engine gives it low end torque, but at the same time delivers 130 horsepower for the times you may want to wind it out. Bike is very dependable with virtually no expensive maintenance required as is necessary with the other Italian bikes. This bike is quite an attention getter and has been on the cover of Road Rash Magazine and was on display at the grand opening of a local Aprilia dealership. The bike is stock with the exception of the full racing Leo Vinci exhaust system which came off of the famous Clarky Tuono racing/show bike. I still have the original Aprilia factory pipe and muffler if the new owner wants it stock. Bike has never been down. I am 64 years old, have been riding for 40 years, and know how ito take care of my bikes. Liquidating a Honda S2000 and my Tuono to buy a Dodge Viper, otherwise I keep them both. Mileage: 11,275 miles Pros: Very nice paint, runs excellent, one of the top handling bikes on the road, have only used full synthetic oil. [email removed] Cons: Tachometer is sporadic and needs repair and Aprilia 998 hi compression V-Twins are famous for turning over slowly when starting (keep in on a battery tender when not using for a while). Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport Added equipment: Full Leo Vinci racing exhaust system (with optional baffles) and switch controlled red LED accent lighting under the tank and side covers. Price: $6200 Chattanooga, TN
