Very hard to find bike with genuine unaltered vin# and clean title. Bike is a barn find, I was able to start the bike briefly but it would not stay running, smokes, needs engine gone through, sold as non running project bike. Updated 5 finger clutch, relatively good tires, Zenith carb. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of the description. It is a very nice and all serviced up bike. I have notes of the service work that have been performed when the bike was last torn down for service. All bearings in the motor and tranny have been replaced. "The BMW R 60 VIN 621434 was manufactured on July 01st, 1960 and delivered on July 20th, 1960 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." Bike was sold originally in 1961 hence it was titled as 1961 and that was a common practice back in the days. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre-1970 BMW bikes I have ever ridden. It is an older restoration. This bike has always been stored in temp. controlled garage and it shows. It is a very clean machine, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor was restored including slingers work, bearings serviced, engine has compression (105 psi each cylinder), clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, horn, also all work as intended. Fairly recent tires and tubes, new wiring harness, reworked heads, new valve covers , new Worx shocks installed, Denfeld solo seat, Hoske style racing exhaust, Low "Magura" Euro handle bars and original tire pump. Top end resealed with brand new set of gaskets and seals, valves adjusted. Ever since we took the pictures we have installed color matching license plate bracket. Runs and rides excellent! "The Earles Forks and opposing cylinder engine always get a lot of attention." Please look closely at the photos and video as they are an important part of the description. It is a very nice and all serviced up bike. I have notes of the service work that have been performed by the previous owner in 03/1993 and only 500 miles ago. See the last pic for extensive maintenance record. "The BMW R 60/2 VIN 1812208 was manufactured on December 15th, 1966 and delivered on December 16th, 1966 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was equipped with a bench seat." Bike was sold originally in 1967 hence it was titled as 1967 and that was a common practice back in the days. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre-1970 BMW bikes I have had in my collection. It is all original bike w/o any mods. This bike has been stored in various conditions in its life and it shows. It is quite clean machine, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor has had a recent top end disassembled, inspected, one helicoil professionally installed at the machine shop for the right side spark plug. New rings were installed, new top end gaskets and seals, torqued back to factory specs. Valves and timing was set, carbs re-adjusted. Clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, also all work as intended. I disassembled the horn, cleaned but did not get it to work, I will try again but no promises. Bike may need new rear tire as I have noticed some weather cracking, front tire is like new. 1982 Honda CB900c. Fully restored, and converted over to Cafe style build. Turn key and go! Lots of customization and originality into this build. It is a Beast runs better than when brand new! The bike has only 16,000 original miles. It was a beauty "barn" find. Zero to no rust except on old OEM exhaust. To list out a few goodies added and/or modified are:-Rear shocks converted to coil overs.-Stainless Steel brake lines front and back.-Cafe fiberglass style seat.-Custom built seat pan with mini storage space.-Gas tank fully restored no rust what so ever.-Custom rear break fluid reseviour.-Converted to lithium ion battery w/ slot for harmonizer.-Customized wiring harness has been created, and few items have been relocated.-such as; ignition has been relocated under seat, all bulky wiring, clips and brakets have been eliminated. battery has been relocated to rear as-well. So new power cables (with plenty of line to alter routing if so desired), wiring is run under and thru the seat area, fuses have been relocatedto under the seat area, LED integrated turn signals and brake lights, custom mini speedo and tach guages, modernized handlebar controls,with a "special function" :) be sure to ask.-Choke converted from plunger design to more modern style in the left hand lever/control cluster.-Aftermarket blk/red shorty levers.-New brakes / rotors front & back.-New rubbers front and back.-Custom Painting. Main color is Black with red accent.-Intake box eliminated and converted to direct cones, mini cones @ at the crank case, and oil breather area too.-After market black CNC foot pegs.-New Clutch, Choke, and throttle cables.-New "road warrior style" head lamp.-Front forks seals replaced and insides rebuilt real nicely.-All gaskets & seals replaced through out.- 4 into 1 wrapped exhaust with shorty tip..Awesome throaty sound and feel...it's my best build to date.-Tuned and greased up real nice.-OEM handle bars replaced with nice straight 7/8" bars.-Instrument cluster eliminated and converted to just the lights on the handle bar clamp. Founded in 1908, and owned by Norddeutsche Lloyd Shipping Lines, Lloyd became the brand name of Norddeutsche Automobile und Motoren GmbH of Bremen Germany. By 1950, after decades of successful and prolific production, the Lloyd Motoren Werke began mass-production of several notable models. Competing head-on with Volkswagen and Opel a Lloyd was a viable, inexpensive, small car. Unfortunately, Lloyd never gained a foothold in the market and by 1963 the company was bankrupt. Hard to find, these Lloyd 600's are becoming increasingly rare. The most recent public sale was by RM in 2013 in which a Lloyd LT 600 transporter for Pan Am was sold at almost $50,000. That van was in the same mechanical condition as ours. It did, however, have a slightly better cosmetic condition as we have spoken to the previous caretakers of said van. Other vans have sold through private sales but none with these low miles or those that were panel versions. We have not been able to find any panels that have recently sold or are available anywhere!! Presented with plenty of patina, this 1960 Lloyd LT 600 Microvan is a true barn find. Stored in a dry Midwestern barn for sometime, the body of this Lloyd shows little rust; only in the usual areas, along the edges of the floor boards, at the rear wheel wells. Light surface rust can be found across the entire body and can be left for the rat rod/surf van look or cleaned up for a complete restoration. Indicator lamps are mostly intact along with trim pieces across the body. All three doors work and latch correctly with the passenger door sounding very crisp when closed. Inward, the wood dash is intact housing the original gauge panel and switches. The wood bracing in the cargo area is in stunning condition and a true testiment to how well this Lloyd was stored. Even the original vinyl floor covering is in good shape, Lloyd logo and all.The drive train for the Lloyd LT 600 is simple and effective. A fan cooled, 596cc, 2 cylinder is the heart, producing 19 horsepower. The power gets to the ground through a front wheel drive trans axle and 4 speed manual gear box found on the steering column. This LT 600 will fire up and drive down the street, however, it does need to be gone through to make all systems current. The brakes do not function correctly and clutch condition is unknown. Yet, it will drive down the street and shift through all gears. The exhaust manifold is missing and will need to be replaced but the rest of the exhaust is with the van. The period correct tires do hold air but need to be replaced due to age. Included in the sale are rare shop manuals, owners manuals, marketing pamphlets, etc. Extremely rare, and highly sought after, these Lloyd Microvans are being snatched up and shipped over seas left and right. Even more rare is the fact that this has only 8014 original miles and is a windowless panel version!! Founded in 1908, and owned by Norddeutsche Lloyd Shipping Lines, Lloyd became the brand name of Norddeutsche Automobile und Motoren GmbH of Bremen Germany. By 1950, after decades of successful and prolific production, the Lloyd Motoren Werke began mass-production of several notable models. Competing head-on with Volkswagen and Opel a Lloyd was a viable, inexpensive, small car. Unfortunately, Lloyd never gained a foothold in the market and by 1963 the company was bankrupt. Hard to find, these Lloyd 600's are becoming increasingly rare. The most recent public sale was by RM in 2013 in which a Lloyd LT 600 transporter for Pan Am was sold at almost $50,000. That van was in the same mechanical condition as ours. It did, however, have a slightly better cosmetic condition as we have spoken to the previous caretakers of said van. Other vans have sold through private sales but none with these low miles or those that were panel versions. We have not been able to find any panels that have recently sold or are available anywhere!! Presented with plenty of patina, this 1960 Lloyd LT 600 Microvan is a true barn find. Stored in a dry Midwestern barn for sometime, the body of this Lloyd shows little rust; only in the usual areas, along the edges of the floor boards, at the rear wheel wells. Light surface rust can be found across the entire body and can be left for the rat rod/surf van look or cleaned up for a complete restoration. Indicator lamps are mostly intact along with trim pieces across the body. All three doors work and latch correctly with the passenger door sounding very crisp when closed. Inward, the wood dash is intact housing the original gauge panel and switches. The wood bracing in the cargo area is in stunning condition and a true testiment to how well this Lloyd was stored. Even the original vinyl floor covering is in good shape, Lloyd logo and all.The drive train for the Lloyd LT 600 is simple and effective. A fan cooled, 596cc, 2 cylinder is the heart, producing 19 horsepower. The power gets to the ground through a front wheel drive trans axle and 4 speed manual gear box found on the steering column. This LT 600 will fire up and drive down the street, however, it does need to be gone through to make all systems current. The brakes do not function correctly and clutch condition is unknown. Yet, it will drive down the street and shift through all gears. The exhaust manifold is missing and will need to be replaced but the rest of the exhaust is with the van. The period correct tires do hold air but need to be replaced due to age. Included in the sale are rare shop manuals, owners manuals, marketing pamphlets, etc. Extremely rare, and highly sought after, these Lloyd Microvans are being snatched up and shipped over seas left and right. Even more rare is the fact that this has only 8014 original miles and is a windowless panel version!!
