Changes. Everything.... is what Motorcycle.com had to say after they test drove the brand new 2014 Honda CTX700N. It's easy to understand why they think so, when you see one up close under our showroom lights. Honda built the CTX series with the idea to take the best of motorcycling, add new technology, and make it even better. They accomplish this by lowering the seat height to 28.3 inches and forward set the hand controls and foot pegs. Combine this with Honda's parallel-twin engine design, and you have a bike with a very low center of gravity, making the CTX700N feel remarkably nimble and fun to ride. These days, with the popularity of motorcycles rising almost as fast as the gas that fuels them, it's not hard to find great looking custom bikes. But how many of those customs actually have a perfect combination of proven dependability and jaw-dropping curb appeal that'll provide years of happy ownership? Or you can walk into our showroom and fire up this slick, brand new Honda. For the 2014 CTX700N models, you only had to color options Black and a vibrant Candy Red. This particular 700N is the latter, and it looks incredible. With only 160 miles on the bike since it left the Japanese factory, the paint looks like it was shot yesterday. The red is accented by the black accessory pieces and engine panels. Designed and built to mix timeless aesthetics with today's best modern technology, there are plenty of rider-friendly features that make owning this Honda a very pleasant experience. Up front, black forks ride between a large headlight, detailed passing lamps and stylish handlebars. On the sides of the red body stylish vents add to the overall look and have the letters CTX branded near. A wide black seat offers the right mixture of comfort and support for one or two passengers, while providing a great view of simple, digital telemetry. Also In front of the seat you have some hidden storage and the fuel filler. Sit down on the bike and you'll quickly see how the lowered seat height and the forward set hand controls and foot pegs make for a very comfortable riding experience. Underneath this bike's attractive body, Honda engineers created a chassis that both novices and hardcore motorcycle enthusiasts could enjoy. Strap on a helmet and take it for a spin and you'll see how The 41mm fork suspension is capable of 4.2 inches of travel, while the Pro-link rear suspension provides an incredible ride with 4.3 inches of travel. Stopping power at the front of the bike comes courtesy of a Single 320mm disc with a two-piston caliper, and at the rear you'll find a single 240mm disc with a single-piston caliper. Beyond the brakes the original Honda rims have been wrapped in Bridgestone rubber to provide amazing handling. Drivetrains are always the focal point of world class road bikes, and this awesome Cruiser boasts an 670cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine. The engine utilizes a 73mm x 80mm bore and PGM- FI with a 36mm throttle body to provide plenty of reliable torque and power. With its cylinders tipped 62 degrees forward for better weight distribution, the CTX700N's engine is a big step forward in modern powerplant design. The two-cylinder format produces tons of low- and mid-range torque, and the 270-degree-phase crank and uniaxial primary balancer make it smooth, too. Bolted to the engine is a 6-speed manual transmission that provides smooth dependable shifts. Not only does the combination give you plenty of power at your controls, but also creates 64mpg to ensure you don't spend all your time filling up the 3.2 gallon gas tank. With less than 200 original miles, and all the right hardware to make cruising a real pleasure, this pristine Honda CTX/N is the perfect bike for anyone looking to hit the road in comfort and style. If you're ready for some liberating, 2-wheel adventure, don't miss the chance to own this practically new bike! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Frame Off Built Dennis Taylor Coupe 413 V8 576 HP Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 612 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 413 V8 Interior color: Red Vehicle info Like fashion, the collector car market is cyclical. And, like fashion staples, there are some cars that never go out of style. For instance, you just can't go wrong with a comfortable pair of jeans. Likewise, you'll always be admired when you pull up in a ground-pounding Willys. Back in 1941, at a small automaker that was about to go through its second bankruptcy, no one would have guessed that, 73 years later, we'd think a black and silver Americar is one of the coolest street rods in our showroom. But alas, great design endures. And when great design is mixed with modern technology, it's a sure-fire bet for success! Featuring an impressive roster of components, a supple leather interior and 413 cubic inches of big block V8, this head-turning custom is poised to draw big attention and take home big trophies. It's also completely sorted, scary fast and amazingly comfortable. Forget all that nonsensical talk about boring coupes and trendy roadsters owning the next cruise season, this impressive Willys is your go-to piece for stopping the show! Okay, so it's not really an Americar and, naturally, that paint isn't a traditional single-stage that's going to dull and wash off in four years. Instead, this Willys is a high quality fiberglass tribute that's been prepped, dipped in modern two-stage and finished to a much higher standard than anything that rolled off a pre-war assembly line. The car's lightweight body was supplied by Dennis Taylor Reproductions. And while its shape is ultra-traditional, some new tweaks were added to provide a unique personality. Take a look at our high resolution photos and you'll see that every panel is as flat as Kansas, with a shine that's only found on five-figure hot rods. Custom pinstriping runs along the body's horizontal lines to separate the upper and lower halves of a metallic, two-tone paint scheme. And even though there's no mistaking a Willys, this coupe has an identity all its own thanks to careful workmanship and excellent attention to detail. When you build a stunning, ground-hugging street rod, it doesn't take much to make the car pop. That's why professional customs like this fully sorted coupe feature just enough high quality bolt-ons to create a classy and timeless appearance. At the front of the car, an intricate hood bulges above a polished grille and two original-style headlights. Behind that hood, lightly tinted glass and modern power windows sit between stylish sport mirrors. At the sides of that glass, remote suicide doors hang shaved handles in front of tough aluminum hinges. Behind those doors, a traditional trunk, old school tail lights and an "AMERICAR" branded bumper add a healthy dose of function to some of the best automotive form ever created. And overall, this car is a simple, smooth classic that carries the true hallmarks of enduring design. One thing you won't have to worry about in this Willys is power. Thanks to a big block 402, which has been punched out 11 cubic inches, this 576 horsepower monster is more than just some pretty parking lot poseur! That mill, professionally built by Big Al's Toy Box in Gaylordsville, Connecticut, eats through a pair of coated Edelbrocks, which link under a polished shotgun intake. At the base of those carburetors, a polished and Chevrolet-branded supercharger rides between polished valve covers, Pro Comp aluminum heads and hot MSD 6AL ignition. That ignition jolts an aftermarket distributor that's outfitted with an MSD Blaster coil, Accel High Temp Super Stock cables and heavy duty wire looms. That distributor spins thanks to a high quality Comp roller cam, which rides between a balanced GM crank and proven PRW roller rocker arms. Cooling is provided by a custom PCR radiator, which fronts two electric puller fans and a chrome overflow tank. Exhaust is handled by short headers, which flow to either traditional tail pipes or electronic cut-outs. And charging is provided by a polished alternator that, along with a coated PRW water pump, spins via polished pulleys and polished brackets. Aesthetically, this Willys' clean engine bay is a very impressive showpiece that's basically a sea of first rate hardware; from its chrome breathers and Mr. Gasket Thermocap all the way to its Melling oil pump and braided fluid hoses. And overall, the car displays solid workmanship that conveys a quality, tailored demeanor. Behind that fire-breathing engine, a modified Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed twists torque through a 4,000 RPM stall converter to a Ford 9-inch rear end and big, 3.70 gears. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a custom, square-tube chassis, which is bathed in a smooth layer of Satin Black paint. At the front of that chassis, a rugged Heidts suspension, which is equipped with Unisteer rack and pinion steering and adjustable QA1 coil-overs, mixes a pleasant ride with vintage feel. At the back of the chassis, a proven 4-link suspension utilizes two more adjustable QA1s to provide drag strip-worthy launches. Serious stops counter the car's serious speed via power-assisted brakes that wrap GM-style calipers around drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust duties are handled by custom, stainless-tipped pipes that, with the flip of a switch, growl through Flowmaster Hushpower mufflers. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of Billet Specialties 15s, which spin 205/65 Uniroyal Tiger Paws in front of 31x16.50 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans. With a beefy drivetrain that's been reliably built to be both tough and fun to drive, this '41 Willys is the real deal. And with its clean floors and super impressive hardware, it'll fare well on any pavement you chose to scorch. Pop the car's lightweight doors and you'll reveal a custom-tailored cabin that makes good use of bright red leather. Modern GM buckets are coddled by color-keyed lap belts. Dolphin supplied the classy looking gauges, which are arrayed across a custom-pinstriped dash. A beefy Sunpro Super Tach III aligns itself perfectly between a small fire extinguisher, chrome rearview mirror and B&M ratchet shifter. Billet door handles and small power window switches detail completely custom side panels. The primary controls, a chrome Grant wheel, billet pedals and a tilting Ididit steering column, make it very easy to get very comfortable. And a fully upholstered trunk rounds out a very nice build. The sale of this impressive street rod includes engine specs and a dyno sheet. The Willys is an icon, no doubt about that. And this tailored Americar puts a unique spin on a very familiar face. The car's workmanship is impressive, and I can't imagine what it would cost to build something like this from the ground up. If you're looking for a fully-sorted bruiser that's blindingly fast and aesthetically exhilarating, come in and claim your next hot rod! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Blown Willys Outlaw Coupe 502 Dual Quad 5 Speed Manual Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Red Mileage: 1055 Transmission type: 5 Speed Manual Engine: 502 V8 Interior color: Tan Vehicle info It's always fun to see top notch street rods come through our showroom here at RK Motors Charlotte. Unlike beefy muscle cars or slick sports cars, which are designed with varying degrees of built in homogeny that appeals to a wide variety of buyers, street rods are built around the two main cornerstones of every car enthusiast's psyche: GOING FAST and LOOKING GOOD. Not surprisingly, cars like this sinister 1941 Willys coupe are some of our most popular offerings; and in the last six months, we've sold FOUR high dollar Willys to four very satisfied owners! So, if you're the kind of buyer who is ready to go big and drop jaws, this sinister red coupe is just the car you've been looking for. But don't hesitate to pull the trigger, because if our sold inventory is any indication, history does repeat itself! For over 25 years, Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies, and this spectacular '41 Willys coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Purchased as one of their full body and chassis packages, it benefits from a hand-laminated, one piece construction technique which combines an embedded Poplar floorpan with a sturdy, unitized steel structure. Once that structure was in place, and the surrounding resin was completely dry, the body was carefully shipped to a small shop by the name of Rod Crafters in Welcome, North Carolina to receive a complete top to bottom shakedown. The build began with a highly detailed prep process that massaged all the cars fiberglass into a slick canvas which perfectly complements its exceptional build quality. Then a thick coat of PPG Fire Engine Red urethane was professionally applied under a sinister set of silver ghost flames. And finally, every panel was sealed in a glossy clearcoat shell that has been wet sanded and buffed to a fantastic shine. Today, with super smooth surfaces, exceptionally narrow gaps and solid sealing moving parts, this evil looking Willys coupe is a badass combination of hair raising performance and sizzling good looks! It's hard to find any well-done '41 Willys coupe that doesn't turn heads and inspire stares. But this car, with its excellent stance, hot rod paint job and simple, but professionally executed details, blows the conservative look of most 'once in a lifetime builds' right out of the water! Up front, a fresh chrome grille is centered between original style chrome trimmed halogen headlights. At the top of the car, a contoured hood, which fits around the big engine's shotgun hood scoop like a well-tailored glove, leads the eye to a full array of smoked glass that is sealed in fresh black weatherstripping. At the sides of the car, polished side-exit exhaust pipes look almost as good as they sound. And out back, a flush mounted LED tail light and a manually retractable license plate add a healthy dose of modern function to some of the best automotive form ever created. There's certainly no mistaking a Willys. And this coupe, with its great combination of superb craftsmanship and hot rod attitude, is the very definition of a street rod dream machine. Though it manages to present a relatively simple and attractive appearance on the outside, everything about this super cool Willys is big; big time, big budget, big labor, and big appeal! Nowhere is that theme more evident than under the fiberglass hood where you'll find a completely detailed 502 cubic inch Jack Sprague sourced V8 that makes roughly 800 horsepower. At the top of that big engine, a pair of chrome Holley 4-barrel carburetors mix air from a polished shotgun intake with a steady stream of 100 octane racing fuel which travels through pristine stainless fuel lines that are equipped with a chrome Holley fuel pressure gauge. At the base of those carburetors, a chrome Weiand 8-71 blower sits between polished aluminum heads that are fitted with high quality chrome valve covers, and an MSD billet distributor that's fitted with Taylor premium plug wires. Cooling is provided by a heavy duty radiator which is sandwiched between a chrome cowl cover, chrome water tubes, dual nine inch pusher fans and a large diameter puller fan. Exhaust is handled by a pair of ceramic coated long tube headers which look great next to the big silver block. And charging is provided by a chrome alternator that, along with a chrome AC compressor and a polished water pump, spins between a nice set of chrome pulleys and sturdy chrome brackets. Aesthetically, this Willys tight engine bay is a virtually flawless piece of street rod art that literally contains no unfinished or un-plated pieces from its polished hood and chrome Tilton Engineering master cylinder to its chrome oil pan and braided hoses. And it displays a first-rate level of workmanship which requires multiple looks in order to really appreciate the car's high level of detail. Behind that killer big block engine, a new Tilton Engineering hydraulic clutch engages a new Richmond 5-speed transmission which, like the motor itself, was sourced from Jack Sprague. Power from that proven transmission flows to a Ford nine inch rear end which spins tall 3.72 gears inside of a high performance Richard Childress Racing center section. That first class drivetrain is held off the ground by a boxed Outlaw chassis which, along with the suspension, has been bathed in a pleasant shade of gray paint that provides a perfect contrast to the car's Fire Engine Red floors. And speaking of suspension, the front of the car utilizes a familiar Mustang II set up that's equipped with traditional manual steering and modern coil over shocks to provide a pleasant ride with a vintage feel. And the back of the car combines a traditional four link system with two more modern coil over shocks to provide drag strip worthy launches. Serious stops to counter the car's serious power are provided by a four wheel disc brake system which is equipped with a brake proportioning valve, drilled and slotted front rotors and braided brake lines. Exhaust duties are handled by neatly packaged stainless side pipes which growl through high quality Dynatech high flow race mufflers. And keeping all this muscle rolling down the road is a slick set of 15 inch polished aluminum Billet Specialties wheels which wear 26x7.50 Hoosier Pro Street radials up front and 33x21.50 Hoosier Pro Street radials in the rear. With a beefy drivetrain that's been reliably built to be both tough and fun to drive, this '41 Willys is the real deal. And with its clean floors and super impressive hardware, it will fare well at any show you chose to attend! Naturally, no expense was spared on bringing this cars cozy cabin up to par with the rest of the build. The custom tan leather interior looks fantastic; and its fully power adjustable Corvette seats are comfortable, stylish and safe thanks to a sturdy pair of Simpson race harnesses. At the front of the car, a Fire Engine Red dash centers an MP3 compatible, and satellite capable, Pioneer CD player between slick, black-faced Classic Instruments gauges and hidden billet knobs that operate the cars accessories. Below that dash a Fire Engine Red console, which flows from the front of the cockpit to the front of the seats, props a billet control panel for the cars Vintage Air climate system and chrome switches for the cars power windows in front of a brake bias controller and a standard chrome shifter that is complete with a wicked skull shift knob. Below that console like-new tan carpet, which is protected by thick, color keyed floor mats, rides under a chrome emergency brake handle and chrome Tilton Engineering foot pedals. At the sides of that console, custom leather door panels hang stylish chrome door handles above sculpting which loosely mirrors the cars sinuous profile. And above that console, a custom tan headliner stretches from a leather wrapped windshield frame and a billet rearview mirror to custom rear panels which hang over a small, leather lined storage area. In front of the driver, a polished tilt steering column spins a leather wrapped, polished aluminum steering wheel. At the sides of the driver, a six point, body matched and leather wrapped roll cage ensures maximum safety should the car ever feel the need to become acrobatic. And behind the driver, a professionally finished trunk hangs a polished decklid over a leather wrapped fuel tank and a small carpeted cargo area. Included with the sale of this awesome Willys street rod is a small binder of build receipts. Few cars can truly back up their looks with astounding performance, but this Willys definitely has what it takes. Now is your chance to benefit from someone else's hard work and put a killer street rod in your garage for a fraction of its construction cost. No need to wait two years for it to be finished, this Willys is a powerful and fun bruiser that's ready to rock and roll the second it rolls out of our showroom. While a stock 1965 Sunbeam Tiger may have been Maxwell Smart's ride of choice, the boys at KAOS probably tooled around in something closer to this wild 1967 Tiger tribute. While it started out as a garden variety Alpine, the transformation is impressive. From the custom 2x3 tube chassis to the professionally-built 427 stroker, everything here has been upgraded or built from scratch with an insatiable need for speed and an utter contempt for rear tires. Completed in 2007, this fully re-engineered convertible has the kind of presence that draws a crowd within minutes and has never been shown competitively. If you're ready to countersteer your way to a case full of trophies, take a minute to learn about this sinister Sunbeam. Appeal starts on the outside where an even coat of Torch Red graces the familiar lines. Super Sport-style stripes run from nose to tail, accenting the base coat in a shade of silver borrowed from the BMW paint charts. The paint work is impressive but a lot of the initial "wow" factor can be attributed to the laser straight sheet metal below. A quick look down the side is all it takes to confirm that the builder knocked that section of the build out of the park! Panel gaps are measured and consistent all around and crisp reflections can be found from any angle. Should the weather turn against you, a manually operated, tan canvas top snaps into place, both protecting you from the elements and adding a nice contrast against the bright hue below. Once you get over the initial excitement of seeing this car for the first time, there are some fun details to admire. Up front, the bumper has been removed for a more aggressive look. At either side, HID headlights cap the fenders while the big aluminum radiator peaks through the open grille. A hood scoop has been molded onto the stock hood, providing fresh air to the engine below while those silver stripes continue to lead the eye back. The windshield is devoid of any notable flaws, surrounded by well-preserved stainless and kept clean by electric windshield wipers. With the top up, the car could almost pass for a tamer version of itself but the roll cage hints at the car's true nature from nearly every angle. The side profile is a clean one with only crisp "Tiger" badges and chrome door handles breaking up the red paint. Out back, the striped decklid slopes between peaked fenders topped with relatively long oval-shaped taillights. Sunbeam lettering tops the license plate recess while the center-mounted kill switch and "6-speed" badge serve as reminders this is no regular Tiger. What makes a nimble 2,500 lb convertible even more fun? Why, 449 rear-wheel horsepower of course! The source of that power is a Ford 427ci Windsor V8 bolted together by the crew at Paul Anthony Race Engines. They started with a 1983-vintage cast iron four-bolt main 351W block, stroked it to 427 cubic inches, and filled it with high-quality hardware like a SCAT 4340 crank, SCAT 4340 H-beam rods, forged Probe pistons, Clevite bearings, and a Comp roller cam. Up top, a set of AFR 225 heads were sourced to frame a Trick Flow R-series intake with a Wilson 90mm throttle body and a custom Wilson-fabricated top. Thanks to 10.7:1 compression, the car happily runs on premium pump gas which is delivered by an Electromotive fuel injection system that utilizes billet fuel rails and 55lb/hr Precision Turbo injectors. Up front, the accessory drive spins little more than the water pump and chrome alternator while, opposite, an aluminum Griffin radiator pairs with a single electric fan to keep everything cool. Turn the key and firewall-mounted coil packs signal the engine to come to life while a set of long-tube headers carry spent gases out through side-exit exhaust with glasspack-style mufflers. The engine is plumbed for nitrous but the system is currently disconnected out of respect for mortality. Slide under this Sunbeam for a closer look at the distinctly non-original chassis. The foundation is a custom 2x3 tube chassis in a fresh coat of red paint. Up front, a Chassis Works Mustang II-style front suspension incorporates chrome control arms and VariShock coilovers while a custom ladder bar setup with Moroso coilovers keep the rear in place. Since the car is relatively light, the manual rack-and-pinion was a great choice for steering especially paired with the brawny Wilwood braking system that utilizes 13-inch rotors and six-piston calipers up front and 12-inch rotors and four-piston calipers out back. In the center of all that hardware, a stout Tremec T56 6-speed handles the power thanks to plenty of upgrades by Rockland Standard Gear. The transmission was built to handle 800 lb-ft of torque with the addition of a Quick Time steel bellhousing, RAM clutch, steel flywheel, and hydraulic slave cylinder. From there, power flows to a narrowed Ford 9-inch with a Detroit Locker and versatile 3.50 gears. At the ground level, a set of 17-inch eight-spoke wheels from Vintage Wheel Works meet the road through a combination of 195/40R17 Yokohamas and 315/35R17 Mickey Thompsons. As you might expect, the interior is compact and mostly business. There's a pair of leather-wrapped buckets for you and your Agent 99, complete with bright red Simpson harnesses. The safety theme continues thanks to the 5-point roll cage that wraps around the interior space. At either side, custom leather-wrapped door panels tie in with the tan leather dash pad while, below, fresh tan carpet with matching floor mats keeps the floors covered. Crawl into the driver seat for a closer look at the quick-disconnect Grant wheel which definitely comes in handy in a car this size. The dash extends both the red base and silver stripes into the cabin with a set of Auto Meter gauges keeping tabs on speed, revs, fuel, oil pressure, oil temperatures, water, temperature, and voltage. If you're looking for items like a radio or a heater, you won't find either here but there is a fire extinguisher and a big bottle of nitrous behind the seat if you ever want to turn the heat up a bit. Under the decklid, the trunk space is mostly consumed by a 20-gallon fuel cell nestled between the frame rails. An Optima red top also lives there, though there is still room for your shoe phone in the carpeted areas on either side. The sale of this Sunbeam includes a set of restoration images that cover all the highlights of the build. There is also a stack of paperwork that includes engine specs, the cam card, and numerous receipts that not only provide the costs but many key part numbers as well. Get Smart references aside, this Tiger tribute is an absolutely brutal car not meant for the faint of heart. With enough traction, the 427 stroker might be able to reverse the rotation of the earth and the chassis is stout enough to make dump trucks jealous. It's the kind of car that not only turns heads, but gets you instant respect just for having the guts to drive it on public roads. If you're looking for a compact thrill generator guaranteed to steal the show wherever it goes, take CONTROL of this Sunbeam today! But how many of those customs actually have a perfect combination of proven dependability and jaw-dropping curb appeal that'll provide years of happy ownership? I mean, you can always go out and find some pieced together beater that was built by the president of the local Jesse James fan club. Or you can walk into our showroom and fire up this slick 2005 P.B. Choppers Hardlife, which features a proven S&S V-twin, a modern 6-speed, stunning House of Kolor paint and a roster of accessories that were planned, placed and assembled by a credible, professional builder. With its exceptional attention to detail and great fit and finish, this super clean two wheeler provides the kind of comfort and ease of ownership that's only available from one of America's premier motorcycle artists. And if you're one of the many riders who likes to spend more time enjoying your bike than working on it, it's the fully-sorted custom of your dreams! With so many motorcycle shops to choose from, finding the right one can be a real challenge. But if the quality of this hard tail is any indicator, P.B. Choppers out of Moravia, Iowa is an all-star amongst home run hitters. Their clientele includes names like Roger Penske, Rusty Wallace and Bruton Smith guys who know good fabrication work when they see it. And, with that in mind, the crew's clean welds certainly aren't the only thing that catches your eye. This Hardlife's sculpted PBC tank and fenders showcase a slick coat of House of Kolor Black Cherry two-stage that demands serious attention. That timeless pigment is executed across clean, modern lines which provide a sophisticated, world class appearance. And that sophisticated appearance lends perfect credence to the saying 'custom choppers are the street rods of the motorcycle world'. Chock full of carefully spec'd components that promote higher levels of performance and significantly increase its all-important 'WOW' factor, this gnarly two wheeler is built with the same no-expense-spared, best-of-everything approach that's the cornerstone of all great 'custom Harley' projects. At the front of the bike, a Perse Performance fork hangs a fantastic Arlen Ness headlight above a polished, 21-inch Xtreme Machine wheel and MH90-21 Avon Venom-X tire. At the side of that wheel, a high quality Hawg Halters brake system squeezes a polished, dual-piston caliper around a giant, drilled rotor. Above that caliper, chrome PBC handle bars hang stylish Paul Yaffe Originals mirrors in front of slick Arlen Ness hand controls. Behind those controls, the bike's smooth, hard tail frame cradles a highly detailed S&S V-twin that mixes a polished casing with a classic, instantly recognizable sound. At the back of that engine, an Independent outer primary hangs a full set of Independent pegs in front of a ProFab Metal Werks tail light. Above that tail light, a sinuous fuel tank anchors a wide PBC seat in front of a bobbed rear fender. And below that fender, a second Hawg Halter disc hovers next to a 300/35R18 Avon Venom R that spins around a second Xtreme Machine wheel. The heart of this awesome creation is a 96 cubic inch S&S V-twin that utilizes Crane Hi-4 ignition, CNC-ported heads, forged rocker arms, a full set of stainless valves and forged flat top pistons to create gobs of reliable power. Founded in 1958, S&S Cycles is one of the biggest and most trusted motorcycle motivators in the world, and this chopper's fully sorted mill performs every bit as good as it looks! At the top of the highly polished block, a stylish PBC coil cover splits the difference between traditional chrome rocker boxes. On the right side of the frame, a familiar S&S Shorty slurps wind through a custom Arlen Ness air cleaner. Below that carb, chrome rod covers lead the eye to polished Grumpy's Customs pipes, a compact Independent oil tank and a standard S&S cam cover. That top notch hardware rolls on a rigid PBC hard tail frame, which mixes a 6-inch stretch with a 40 degree rake. And the V-twin's power flows through a show-polished Baker 6-speed that provides solid shifts and reliable cruising. Eventually dubbed "Black Cherry" because of its stunning paint, this striking chopper has big fans in all the right places. Not only did the bike place 2nd at the 2005 World Class Legends Top 50 Invitational, it also scored a record 8-page cover spread in the December, 2006 edition of In The Wind Magazine. Naturally, our sale includes a small backstory and an official specs page. There's a definite difference between even the nicest homemade two-wheelers and a well-planned custom like this sublime Hardlife. There's simply NO WAY to build a bike like this for anywhere near our asking price, and every piece of this chopper fuels awesome curb appeal and amazing street prowess. If you're looking for a killer steed that's fully sorted and ready to enjoy, saddle up at RK Motors Charlotte! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 2005 PB Choppers Hardlife Custom Chopper 96 CI S&S V Twin 6 Speed Year: 2005 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Red Mileage: 3 Transmission type: 6 Speed Manual Engine: 96 cu in V-Twin Interior color: Vehicle info With the popularity of motorcycles rising almost as fast as the gas that fuels them, it's not hard to find an awesome custom bike. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1941 Willys Coupe Frame Off Built Willys Coupe Supercharged Dual Quad 502 Year: 1941 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 248 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 502 V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle info Shy of a '32 Ford, few cars can claim the hot-rodding history of the 1941-1942 Willys. It's a car so popular that, even today, the competition to create the World's Wildest Willys continues. Visually, this 1941 coupe is a contender for that title. Its radiant color, ground-pounding stance, and utterly massive wheels give it the proportions of a Hot Wheels car while the powertrain, lead by a blown 502ci V8, makes sure performance is every bit as impressive. Factor in the amenity-filled leather interior and it becomes clear that this coupe is the total package. Completed in 2012 and driven only 190 miles since, this is a trophy case waiting to happen - all it needs is someone to show it. If this sounds like a job you'd like to fill, take a minute to get the details on this sharp 1941 Willys. For over 25 years, Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pennsylvania has been a leading supplier of custom fiberglass bodies and this spectacular coupe is a testament to just how well they've honed their craft. Purchased as one of their full body and chassis packages, the car benefits from a hand-laminated, one piece construction technique which combines an embedded Poplar floor pan with a sturdy, unitized steel structure. The outermost layer has been shot with a radiant coat of Candy Blue Metallic from the House of Kolors line. In a world of red, yellow, and orange Willys, blue is a strong choice and one that, when placed in direct sunlight, will make a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to see the car. The impressive paintwork is accented by hand-painted black, gray, and white pinstripes that form a grid pattern just behind the doors. When the subject is a bright-blue ground-hugging Willys, it doesn't take much ornamentation to make the car pop; so what you'll find are just enough high-quality pieces to finish the car without weighing down the classic design. The front view consists of a bright stainless grille that sits between a pair of round headlights in bright chrome bezels. The greenhouse offers new tinted glass and weather-stripping while sleek painted mirrors cap off the A-pillars. Thanks to shaved door handles, a distinct lack of brightwork or badges, the side profile presents as an ultra-clean look that works perfectly with the paintwork. The rear view begins with the classic split rear widow mounted above a smoothed decklid with no visible hardware. A pair of small round taillights in chrome bezels provide all the lighting needed while, below, a hideaway license plate frame keeps things legal. It just wouldn't be a modern Willys build without a big block bulging through the hood. This coupe delivers on that front with a blown 502ci V8 fully dressed for show. The foundation is a GM Performance crate engine dressed in orange and topped with a small mountain of go-fast goodies. Cast iron heads sit to the sides of a polished Weiand 6-71 supercharger topped with dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors and a chrome shotgun intake. Real estate is limited at the front of the engine, but the accessory drive still manages to turn an aluminum water pump and chrome alternator via polished pulleys. The big block keeps its cool thanks to a four-core aluminum radiator that's aided by dual electric cooling fans. Turn the key and a Summit Hi-Fire HEI ignition transmits spark through bright Accel wires. Spent gases exit through ceramic coated shorty headers that flow into a stainless dual exhaust system rounded out by Borla mufflers. Other notable items include the mini-starter, aluminum fuel cell, and electric fuel pump. Sure, it's a great looking bay but don't mistake it for a show piece. This is the real deal. Take a look under this Willys to find a chassis fully prepared to utilize big block power. Things get started with an Outlaw 2x4 box tube chassis which has been outfitted with a Heidts Mustang II front clip. Suspension consists of tubular A-arms, a Competition Engineering adjustable 4-link, and adjustable coilovers all around. In the center of that modern hardware, a tried and true TH400 3-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duties. A finned chrome transmission pan and converter cover have been added for looks while an electric cooling fan keeps temperatures in spec. Power meets the ground through a cast aluminum Currie 9-inch center section stocked with posi and 4.10 gears. A manual rack and pinion keeps steering direct while the power-assisted brakes utilize slotted and drilled rotors, four-piston Wilwood calipers, and steel braided lines all around. A huge part of the car's visual appeal comes from the unique wheel and tire package which consists of 18 and 20-inch Mickey Thompson HR-1 wheels wrapped in 26x8.00R18LT tires up front and massive 33x22.00R20LT rears. If the numbers aren't clear, those back wheels are 16 inches wide. Wow. At first glace, the interior presents itself as a fairly straightforward affair but that first impression is deceiving. Work starts at the ground level where polished door sill plates anchor fresh black carpet. Seating is provided by a pair of Procar bucket seats wrapped in black Ultraleather while the door panels are finished to match with tasteful stainless steel inserts in the center. A custom center console makes room for the pistol-gripped Procomp Street Bandit shifter as well as controls for the fuel pump and electric fans. There's no lack of entertainment here either. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD/DVD head unit with a 7-inch touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and integrated navigation has also been fitted into the console. Hop into the driver seat to admire the gauge layout filled with crisp black, blue, and aluminum Stewart Warner gauges that monitor all the usual engine vitals. Control over the front wheels comes courtesy of a leather-wrapped, three-spoke billet steering wheel that tops a polished tilt column while chrome-trimmed pedals make sure all the details are in place. The trunk is finished in matching black carpet that does a good job of concealing the fuel tank and wheel tubs below. As mentioned, the car was completed in 2012 so everything you see is fresh. If there are questions about any of the components used, the stack of build receipts and component manuals included in the sale offers all of the answers at a glance. With its Candy Blue Metallic paint, ultra-low ride height, massive wheels, and polished shotgun intake on display, this car is a visual one-two punch sure to gain fans at any event it enters. Best of all, it backs those looks up with a serious powertrain ready to rumble at the turn of a key. If you've been entertaining the idea of building a Willys, save yourself a calendar year and take home this killer coupe today!
