This is a 1953 BMW R 25/2 with matching plate/engine/frame vin#. I have all the paperwork tracing it back to Germany through all its owners. And receipts of all the work done to it. I have been slowly restoring it for the last 8 years but its time to pass it on to another enthusiast. It has a recently completely rebuilt transmission done by cycle works. It has almost all the rubber and cables replaced with new old stock replacements from Germany. The engine has been completely disassembled and cleaned, including the slingers. All new gaskets placed. The carburetor also. The bike is not ready for Pebble Beach yet though. Its could use a fresh pain job and some fine tuning to make it run smoother. There are some chips that have been treated with clear coat to prevent rusting. The gas tank was treated too but there are some light areas of rust around the gas cap. Some tarnish to the chrome and a few small blemishes. This is a 62 year old motorcycle and runs like the grandpa it is. I ride it around the neighborhood without any problems but don't expect it to be a daily commuter. This rare and beautiful motorcycle needs a vintage BMW owner who will continue the work I started and one day display this bike for all to admire. I will include several shop repair manuals as well. The bike also has a clear Florida title and is ready to go.

1952 BMW R25/3, the model that many would say saved BMW after the Second World War. This bike was imported to Canada from Australia in 2002, and I do have all the Importation documents. The previous owner had the bike running a few years ago, and parked it. It was on display in his private collection since then. I have not insured the bike since buying it, so there is no active registration or title but will be sold with bill of sale. It would most likely not take much effort to get this bike Road ready, that said it depends on what you are looking for. To become a driver with minimal work it would require tightening the handlebars, new battery, new gas, check the brakes and tires, and go. If you are wanting a restored bike, the paint is older and showing its age, there are signs of older body work near the rear hinged fender. The tail light and left control are not BMW parts. It would require complete renovation if you are wanting a show bike. The good news is that the tank is original and all steel, same with the fenders, these are often replaced with fibreglass replicas. There is good value in the tin alone! The seat is in great shape, perhaps had a new cover or pad at some point. Exhaust is in very nice condition as well. The engine is free and feels as though it has strong compression. An appreciating classic, with fantastic lines Canadian dollar is low right now, great time to buy!Sold as is due to age.

The good:I've got a beautiful 1959 R26 BMW up for sale that's all original (all matching) with a fresh top end motor rebuild and trans rebuild ($3,500 worth of work.) Bunch of upgrades too like new handle bars, single side mirror, new exhaust pipe, points/plug, fluids, black and yellow plate that reads "1959 BMW". The bike gets tons of thumbs up from all kinds of riders and is a great foreground for any photo op. Every time I pull over to get off the bike it gets a lot of attention and cool conversations ensue. I've only put about 50 miles on the bike since all the work. I'm looking to sell off a few things because I'm getting into another passion of Porsche collecting and need the room. A fantastic display piece or a sweet ride to get attention on.The minor issues:The only thing it needs replaced is a small condenser in the coil (about a $12 part) that I believe needs a little soldering and an oil gasket (maybe $4 bucks for that.) It runs fine, but when warmed up a bit it loses a little power due to that condenser, but really easy fix and same with the oil gasket, a few bolts and it pops right in.
