Beautiful 2002 BMW R1150GS with ABS and heated grips. In superb condition. Very low mileage (under 20,000 miles). Regularly serviced at Premier Cycle in Ottawa (BMW Master Technician). Just received major service ($800). All fluids replaced. Brand new battery. Runs perfectly. US model bike, currently registered in Canada. Full set of BMW hard luggage. Side cases keyed to ignition key. Top box needs re-keying as does not currently lock (otherwise, works fine though). Some repair work on left hand side case, but nothing that affects operation. Some minor scuffs on bike, but nothing beyond minor cosmetic issues. Bike located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Will consider dropping off if relatively close by (need to negotiate with wife as she'll need to drive me back!). Reluctant seller! This is a fantastic GS, and I'll miss it terribly. I bought it in 2003 in its stock form and then added pretty much all the accessories one could want on an adventure bike. It is ready for Alaska today! This bike is for best for taller riders. I am 6"5 with a 36" inseam and I have modified this bike to fit me. Aftermarket shocks from Wilburs raise the bike 1.5". The seat is taller and mounted on 1/2" shims. You could change the ride height with new springs from Wilburs. Basically, it's just a bit taller than the GS Adventure model. And this bike has been on some epic adventures all over the country. Lots of trips out west, across the rockies on dirt roads, up the PCH, through BC, Utah, etc etc. It's always run strong and never left ne stranded once. No accidents, though it has tipped over off-road some and has a few dings here and there. Everything works great, though it could use a tune-up. I have always maintained this machine obsessively. It has all new final drive bearings and swing-arm bearings. The rubber boots around the transmission output and final-drive pivot were replaced. (This is a huge job that all shaft-drive BMWs will require eventually. The rubber rots.) I have installed the better and newer type of hydraulic cam chain tensioners. Motor ticks smoothly. The valves are fully set in. I check the clearances every 12K, but they have not needed adjustment for many years now. Just did an oil change. This bike does not surge at low rpm! (Many of this era do) Upgrades/Parts: Wilburs shocks with adjustable pre-load and rebound damping - They were rebuilt about 10K ago. Springs can be changed to suit your weight. Bill Meyer Saddle, memory foam. Taller and wider than stock seat and very comfortable. Crash bars - I forget the brand name, but they work great. I had them powder-coated. PIAA 520 lights. HUGE lights. One of them is a long-range spot, and the other is wide. Amazing trail visibility, and the amber color is very noticeable in traffic. Headlight modulator - cars will see you. Aeroflow windshield Stainless Y-pipe replaces catalytic converter for a little boost in torque and better sound. (You can have the catalytic if you want it.) Gerbing heated clothing controller, adjustment knob installed in dash. Galfer Green brake pads Metzler Tourance EXP tires, maybe 2/3 tread left. Fastway footpegs, cleat style External fuel filter mod 3rd brakelight mounted on top-case Stainless brake lines BMW system cases An amazing machine. But it's time for a new owner.

2003 BMW R 1150 GS ADVENTURE, Up for sale is my wonderful toy. I need to travel to Europe urgently. This is my pride and joy. This ad is for those who know about these bikes, I don't have time to play around. Please do your homework, email me or call me with questions. Bike is dirty, has a dent on the tank and scratches..... again, for those who know these are advantages! I have EVERY receipt for parts, repair, service, nuts and bolts from the day it was purchased, I have the purchase invoice. Some of the basic additions; Ohlins suspension, Touratech luggage and many other touratech parts.Y pipe and Laser exhaust ( great sound) I have owned the bike for 2 years, Clean PA title. Since I have owned her, she has had full services, new brakes front and rear, including rotors, rear bearings on drive shaft and most recently I removed the horrible electronic brake servo! no more of the whining and the $2000 parts replacement for something BMW should have never put on this bike. With everything I have done this bike will easily run another 100,000 miles.
