The trip is over, so I am selling the bike.Purchased with 82K, now has 86K miles. Bike is loaded, electronic aftermarket windshield, comes with factory shield as well. Heated grips and seat, 6cd changer, electronic cruise control, reverse, fog lights and more. Recently had all fluids changed, tires, and brake lines. Almost time for another oil change since the trip.In the 4k miles I put on it, only issue is right(throttle) grip isn't heating. This is a 2006 BMW K1200R with 33,000 miles in excellent shape. It has every factory option except for the alarm system and center-stand, and has a lot of additional upgrades as well. I am the original owner, the bike has been garaged its whole life when not on the road, and looks great for its age. I have used this bike on many multi-day 1,000+ mile trips and it will carry you and your luggage without issue and do it at very high speed. I did low-side once on the racetrack which caused minimal damage, mostly cosmetic, which has been repaired. These KR bikes are monsters, and I have dyno’d this bike at 150hp and 85lb-ft at the rear tire. With its length and maintenance-free shaft drive it doesn't lift the front tire unless you want to, but it can do 0-20 in 2.8 seconds and I have done an indicated 150mph and the speedometer needle was still climbing. I've even done an indicated 140mph with a passenger. The electronic suspension makes switching from freeways to mountain roads, or from solo to two-up with luggage as simple as pushing a button. The heated grips are a lifesaver in cold weather, and the Power Commander allows you to adjust the engine mapping as you see fit. And with the custom Corbin seat and both BMW side cases mounted along with the Givi 4.7 liter top case you can carry enough gear for a multi-day trip with ease and comfort. If you are looking for a great all-around bike this is the one. Seating ergonomics are great, with a slight reach forward but not upright like a cruiser and not hunched over like a sports bike. It is small enough to commute on (as I did for many years) but big enough to tour on. And with its high tech suspension and insane amount of power this bike will eat up fast back country roads like nothing else. I’ve had a lot of great rides on this bike, but with my second kid due any day it’s time to let it go.
