2012 Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z, A great long distance runner with 24,800 of mostly highway miles. I've ridden it as far as Texas and back, with a couple of 500 mile days and numerous in the 400's. I had two BMW sport tourers before this motorcycle and it is more comfortable by far. You set relatively high, giving you good visibility in traffic. It has maybe 40 off-road miles on it. I wanted something I could tour on without a lot of plastic on it. Also something that could take poor road surfaces. This motorcycle has many extras: Caribou Cases and Top Case -- These are locking Pelican cases mounted on Hepco & Becker hardware. They are very durable tough, much more so than the Yamaha OEM cases. Inner case bags included. Cal-Sci Windscreen -- Provides significantly more protection than the factory screen, which I have and is included in the price, factory screen included Alt Rider Crash Bars Denali Driving Lights -- Very bright LEDs, help to get you seen. They also throw a lot if light when you're riding in the dark. Fiamm Highway Blaster Horn -- Louder, by far, than the standard beep-beep. Two RAM Mounts on the handlebars The bike has been hard-wired for the radar detector, leaving the original two accessory outlets available for other plug-ins. Five year extended warranty, transferable This bike is by far the best long-distance rider I've had. It's very dependable, as in it has never broken down. Part of the reason I bought it was Yamaha's large dealer network. So if you have trouble in a medium sized city like Bend, Yakima or Wenatchee, you'll likely find a shop to work on it. Which might not be the case with a BMW R1200GS or Triumph Tiger. The scheduled maintenance has been done by Beaverton Motorcycle, except for the oil changes I've done. It's in need of a 24,000 mile service and a new rear tire. I've considered this in determining the price. I'm a mature rider and not a hot-dogger, no wheelies or burn-outs. This bike has been treated very well, always garaged when not in use. I have a clean title in hand. I'm happy to show it to serious buyers. And, as usual, no test rides without a motorcycle endorsement and the full price in cash for me to hold. I'm selling the bike as shown--not pulling off accessories to sell piecemeal. No trades.
