We have a 6 year history with this bike. We would be happy to answer any questions you have about this BMW motorcycle; please call us at 614.837.1160. We also cleaned and serviced the instrument cluster. All in all this bike is in much better cosmetic and mechanical condition than would normally be expected of a bike of this age and mileage. Over the years the new owner installed a master cylinder kit and installed new front brake pads in the winter of 2007-08 a new sealed battery in April 2008 and he installed new fork seals and resealed the motor top end in April of 2009. the seat is missing the original lower edge trim but looks good with stainless fasteners along the edge. 1977 BMW R100/7 SOLD...... We would be happy to provide you with a quote for enclosed insured to-your-door delivery by a carrier we have a good history with. the transmission shifts properly and has no unusual noises. At the time of the trade in the previous owner reported oil consumption on his last trip of only 1 pint in 2 000 miles. At that time we resealed the fuel tank de-carboned the heads and lapped the valves cleaned the carbs disassembled and inspected the forks and installed a ground upgrade kit on it. the MAC mufflers are in good physical condition but the chrome shows the years and they have some staining on the top of the right one. I do not know if the odometer reading is correct or not but from the looks of the machine it seems to be true.  It has a genuine Luftmeister fairing and the BMW luggage.  This would make a very nice addition to someones vintage collection, and a very proud vintage rider for only $3,500.00

This classic R100/7 is a reliable platform for local commuters, long-distance riders, collectors, and even custom builders. It has been lovingly serviced, runs well, and maintains a variety of original features in good cosmetic condition. Bike is equipped with ATE single-disc front brake; Bing carbs; Bridgestone Spitfire 11s; aftermarket mufflers; Euro headlight switch; new fork boots; tool box; chrome accents; and more. Odometer does not work, so current mileage unknown. As BMW Airheads go, this one can play a lot of different roles for many different people. Don't miss out!

This bike has very low miles but I am unsure if the mileage is accurate.  From the looks of the machine it is very accurate. This machine has been well maintained and has the genuine lufimeister faring and BMW luggage.  This would be a very nice addition to someones collection or be a very nice vintage rider.

1977 BMW R/100/7, Here is a bike that we don't see very often. 1977 BMW R/100/7. This one was looks like it is fresh out of Granddads shed. The gas tank has been repainted a solid black. The seat could use a recover job, I do believe that it is the stock 1977 cover that is on it now. It has an aftermarket Luftmeister fairing on it. it starts, and runs very well. We did service it in our shop. The fuel valves have been replaced with new ones. The old ones were leaking. At some time in it's life, someone added the BMW accessory clock, and volt meter to the gauge cluster. Nice touch. The tach needle is not on the center of the gauge, I have been told that this is common on these older bikes. For it's age, it is a nice older bike, not perfect, but not bad ether. Give us a call or stop in today.

This is a lot of bike for the money. It is in exceptional condition for its age and runs excellent. 1978 R100RS. I believe I am the 3rd owner but do not know the history prior to the person I purchased it from. The frame VIN does fall within the range of MotorSport models but I don't know if this was one originally. It does have the correct black side covers for a MotorSport. The engine VIN is 6160368 which I believe is a 1977 1000cc big carb engine and runs excellent! In fact it is probably the best running/strongest BMW I have owned. Very fast and smooth. Shifts through gears as it should. It does not show any signs of abuse or being parked outside in the elements. Gauges are clean and not faded or discolored. It has been painted all white at some point and the paint is in very good condition. Fairing doesn't show any signs of previous damage. Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly: GOODExceptional condition for a 41 year old motorcycleGauges work properly and look excellent- not faded or discoloredCables are all good and not crackedEverything works as it should- all switches, lights, alarm, hornStarts instantly, choke works as it shouldRuns excellent- NO smoke at start, doesn't use oil, seems to be a low mile/strong motor, very clean Tank inside is very clean, no problems/rustWindscreen is in excellent conditionWheels are in excellent conditionNo oil leaksNo fuel leaks- all hoses replaced recently Original manual is hereOriginal tire pump is hereNo dents in tank or front fenderAll plastic- headlight cover, turn signal, brake light, all very nice. BADThe tires are about 5 years old, tread is good and there are no weather cracks, I personally do not ride on tires over 6 years old.Pin striping is not correctExhaust has some scratches and minor dings.Missing "R100RS" sticker on rear cowlingOne keyThrottle cable and choke boots missing at carbsBottom of seat is par/average for age- originalRubber around tool storage tub top Is in bad shapeMost tools- not complete set UGLYThe seat has a small tear that has been repairedThe rear seat hinge is broke where it connects to the seat I have listed in detail everything I know about the bike to help you evaluate if this bike is for you. I am brutally honest and I am also very picky.I assure you this is a very accurate and thorough description. You will have NO surprises. In the past couple of years I have sold 7 motorcycles (4 were "70's" era BMW's) The buyers have always told me without exception, the bike was better than they expected. This is the way it should be. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or if you want pictures of anything specific. I would be happy to do a "FaceTime" to help you make your decision.I have a video of starting the bike and doing a walk around so you can hear it run. Link below.
