A motorcycle that defined the classic touring bike segment has now reached the next stage of evolution: the new BMW R 1200 RT. With its light handling, the R 1200 RT makes it possible to enjoy what is most important: riding through the landscape. Whether on your own or with a passenger: the new R 1200 RT is all about comfortable, relaxed riding on every tour. More dynamic performance. More control. The new RT has a new air/water-cooled BMW boxer engine with even more torque and 125 bhp. Thanks to the traction control system ASC, the machine offers stability on every country road. The standard ride modes "Rain" and "Road" can also be activated at the press of a button, adapting the motorcycle perfectly to the weather conditions and road surface as required. The On Board Computer Pro and the familiar heated grips round off the range of basic equipment. More optional extras. More comfort. The special equipment for the new RT offers an increased level of comfort for the best motorcycling experience. For example, the semi-active electronic suspension adjustment BMW Dynamic ESA responds within a fraction of a second to changing road surfaces. Shift Assistant Pro allows the rider to shift up and down without using the clutch or throttle. Another option available is "Dynamic" mode, which guarantees maximum riding fun for sporty, dynamic motorcyclists. Also available as an optional extra: a central locking system which also locks both cases by remote control, a cruise control system and lots more. More design. More impressions. A supreme touring bike with a persuasive design: the use of transparent materials conveys lightness and agility.

Nice original R100RS with both 3/4 (solo) and dual seats. Period correct Krauser bags, new tires, lithium battery, clutch, Staintune exhaust, and recent tune up. I bought this bike from a friend who had it stored for a few years indoors. I flushed the tank and went thru the bike, changing all fluids, replacing the gaskets and cables, adjusting the valves, and giving it a tune up. I eventually replaced the front brake lines with stainless ones. The clutch has a very light pull since the cable is new and the entire clutch mechanism was cleaned before re-assembly.I rode this bike as my daily transportation 3-4 times /week and on weekend rides for two years with no problems. It has some nicks in the paint and other minor cosmetic flaws but overall has a great patina. I cleaned the snowflake wheels, carbs, engine, and rear drive and these look very nice. There is a very slight oil leak from the pan -a couple of drops when the engine is hot. I have not sorted it since it's a very minor thing. An injury prevents me from riding and motivates the sale. The RS is the most versatile of Airheads. It will keep up with modern bikes in the hills and is very smooth and comfortable to ride. The bags, great wind protection, and big tank make it a great tourer.

1993 BMW K RS, 1993 BMW K1100RS aka "Flying Brick" Mileage: 53,xxx Bought at 47,xxx miles in June 2012. To my knowledge I am the third owner. This bike is in great condition and ready to ride - Fun, Fast and comfortable. New Michelin Pilot Road 2 Front Tire at 47,xxx miles. Brand New Rear Michelin Pilot Road 2 Tire as of 7/29/14 - less than 100 miles on on this tire. 3/13 - Spiegler stainless steel brake lines installed. Battery is good. No work other than routine maintenance and upgrades have been performed on bike since owning and there are no known mechanical needs. These bikes are meant to go long and hard and should require minimal maintenance along the way. Only lightly ridden in past 6-8 months. Bike is covered most of the time. Great ride and PLENTY of power. Other: Custom reupholstered corbin seat - Grey. Ohlins rear suspension Factory Side Cases Factory Top Case Tank Bag Clymer guide Things to Know: ABS not working, and has not worked since I've owned. Had checked out twice with no luck from BMW specific mechanics. Dropped twice to my knowledge - once by previous owner when he received from shipper (@ 0mph), once by me in parking lot (@ 0mph). Scratches on side fenders and mirror casing. If you have a mechanic you would like to take it to, I am open to this and will not charge extra to ride the bike to your mechanic if you are in the Austin, TX area. Reason for Selling: I bought a 1975 BMW R90/6 and though I'd love to keep both, one has to go. Clean Title. Thanks for looking! Mark $3,000.00 5128035263

I'm letting go of my custom 1973 BMW R75/5, which was recently featured on popular motorcycle blog, Bikeexif.com. you can see the article HERE I made many different changes to the bike that include building a custom subframe/battery box (with the help of revival cycles here in Austin) and de-tabbing the frame. I also did the custom wiring, lighting and upholstery. The gas tank is from an r100 and the air box and engine top cover are from an r80 and the pistons and cylinders are from a R90S, bumping up the engine to 900cc's. The carbs are Mikuni flat slides' and the points have been replaced with a Boyer electronic ignition. every thing that is black on the bike other than the gas tank is powder coat and all the nuts, bolts and spokes are stainless wherever possible, all the bearings are brand new as well. The beat up exhaust system is a super rare alphabet exhaust system, this is the only one I've ever seen or know to exist and it sounds and functions incredibly, dents and all! the original fiberglass fenders have been replaced with steel ones. I would love to see this bike go to a good home, I put a ton of work and love into it. Local pickup only, buyer must arrange for any shipping.
