Offered for sale is a 1982 BMW R65LS with an interesting sotory. This machine was purchased new in NJ in 1982, and the first owner rode it until 1990, when it was parked. It then sat for the next 25 years. It was purchased by a BMW collector in MD a few years later, and he had it in his collection until a few years ago when I found it. I'm now looking at purchasing an R100CS, and as always I am bike rich and cash poor, so I need to adjust my own small collection to make room, The R65LS has always had a cult following, and for good reason - they are a blast to ride! You can flick them around like you just can't do with a larger BMW. Owners of the early R80G/S models will know just what I'm talking about. In the last 5 years the prices on these bikes have more than doubled, but here is you chance to get a nice bike at a decent price. This is a matching engine & frame serial number bike, with clear matching number title. The machine was drained of all fluids and the battery ages ago, and has been sitting, and has not been run in that time. Over the years from sitting the rings are stuck, so the new owner will have to replace them along with the other chores needed to get this bike back on the road. Please ask all questions before bidding. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end, and pickup/shipment is expected within 30 days of auction end. Up for sale is my beloved R1200RT. This bike has served me very well over the last few years. We have been on many trips together, an Iron Butt ride to California, up to Sturgis, out to New Mexico and hundreds of places in between. It has never let me down. The bike has just under 28000 miles on it. I bought it with 6600 and am the second owner. I just had the 24000 mile service down and had new Michelins put on it with in the last 2000 miles. All service is up to date and it is ready to go anywhere you want it to. The only reason I am selling is I am buying a BMW K1600 and I don't need two touring bikes. I am going to pull a trailer and the 1600 will do a little better job of it. The RT is a great handling bike and has always been in the top rankings of best sport touring bikes. 1993 BMW R100RS MONOLEVER GREAT CONDITION RUNS PERFECT RARE! This 1 of only 60 1993 R100RS produced! It is the last and finest of the Airheads! Even more rare is the gorgeous paint scheme of DunkelBlau - HellSilber (Dark Blue - Bright Silver). I am the 3rd owner of this beautiful motorcycle. I purchased it from a gentleman who rode it sparingly and maintained it extremely well. He purchased it from a collector who did the same. I have owned it for 2 years and continued the maintenance tradition. Always garaged, cleaned and covered. Mechanical: The motorcycle cranks easy and runs perfectly. Brakes are great. Newer tires have plenty of tread left. Battery is strong. I ride it occasionally on weekends usually 100-150 miles. I have never experienced any type of issue and wouldn't hesitate to ride it cross-country. It is a fun bike to ride. Shifts and rides smoothly. Sounds great too. Classic BMW. Cosmetic: It is in overall very nice, clean condition for its age. Paint is glossy and chrome is bright. Engine is clean. The saddle bags are near perfect. Close inspection will reveal some minor scratches and marks typical of age and use. There are also some spots on the lower faring where it looks like something splashed up and discolored the silver paint (see pics). There are some touched-up chips in the paint on the tank. The previous owner let his nephew use the bike one day and he strapped a tank bag on top without the protective pad. The rivets on the bottom of the bag chipped the paint while riding. The previous owner did a nice job touching up the chips with the proper German glauser paint. I have the DunkelBlau and HellSilber glauser paint, which I will included with purchase. The chips aren't really noticeable from a couple feet away, but they are there (Please see pics). Extras: Original BMW Toolkit; Original BMW Lock; Original BMW Saddle Bags; Original BMW Top Case (not pictured, but included); and a set of custom Kathy's Journey R100RS Faring Pokets (nice!). Also, the previous owner installed a set of bar risers to raise the handle bars a couple of inches for a more comfortable riding position. Hello. I am selling my 2016 BMW S1000XR w/ 6.5K miles. Why am I selling it? Because I actually own two XR's and have decided to keep only one. I purchased it new in February of 2016 from Leo's South in Lakeville, MN. It is in excellent condition and has never been down, dropped or crashed. Both the 600 and 6000 mile services have been done and the bike carries the remainder of BMW's 3yr/36K mile warranty. For those who aren't familiar with this machine, it is essentially BMW's sport-adventure bike utilizing the engine and transmission from the S1000RR sport/track bike. Think of it as the love child of an R1200GS and an S1000RR. Power output is rated at 160 (vs 190 in the RR), however, it is actually faster to accelerate than the RR due to improved torque delivery and different gearing. I have owned roughly 25 motorcycles and the S1000XR is, by quite a margin, the best bike I have ever owned. This one has both the Dynamic and Touring packages consisting of the following: Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless up and downshifts, ABS Pro for improved stability and maximum braking safety, 4 driving modes (ABS Pro, DTC, plus "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro", electronic cruise control, LED turn indicators, Dynamic ESA, heated grips, pannier mountings, navigation device preparation incl. Multi-Controller, center stand and a luggage carrier. It is 100% stock except for the S1000XR rim decals I added. The tires are original which indicates how conservatively I ride. I am including a set of very good used Michelin Pilot Power 2's with the sale. Also, I do have a set of mint OEM BMW gray side cases/panniers w/ custom liners I can include for an extra $500.00. This is motorcycle was restored years ago in Germany and spent some time in Ireland before coming to the USA. This is a running rideable motorcycle, it runs and drives. First lets start with the history of the motorcycle. The frame is marked 29868 on the head stock of the frame and typenschild. This is NOT the correct frame number, someone has stamped this into the frame. It is a reinforced frame and they didnt have numbers, those frames came without numbers and Wehrmacht units would stamp them back into the frame OR somewhere along the road people would stamp them in. The motor number is 100% original and has Incredible history. This motor was delivered to II. Kavallerie-Regiment 9 in Fürstenwalde. Here is the email from BMW archives. The engine number 11677 belongs to a BMW R 12, which was manufactured on December 19th, 1938 and delivered on December 22nd, 1938 to the II. Kavallerie-Regiment 9 in Fürstenwalde. The motor has perfect stamped original numbers and a waffenamt right on the W of the BMW raised logo, please see the photo. The motorcycle has a very nice solid frame and solid Original fenders on it. I am almost positive the fenders are 100% original. Almost all of the bolts on the bike are RIBE, Verbus or NSF bolts. Very few are garbage bolts. The drivers seat is the correct seat and the rear passenger seat is a Original Sozius sattel, the early type which is really cool! These are getting harder to locate and this is a perfect nice original one. The magneto works well and it appears to be charging. It is not know what was done in Europe on the magneto. It is a real BOSCH D2B. The handle bars controls are original and throttle from what I can see. The headlight is not the correct headlight for the motorcycle. The speedo is a correct newer reproduction speedo. The saddle bags are NOT Included, I will include new ones not the old ones seen in the photo. PLEASE BE WELL AWARE of this . I will replace the bags with new ones from Old-timer Garage. The rear saddle bag holder is a new reproduction holder. The license plates are new painted ones from my plate painter. The motorcycle runs ok with these dual carbs. I would replace them with a New SUM carb which can be purchased from us here at Vintage German Motorcycles. We can sell you an original SUM Carb if you want one? Once you replace the carbs the motorcycle will run perfect. I will include with the purchase of the motorcycle an original BMW R12 Intake manifold for the SUM carb so all you need to buy is the carb and intake heat tubes. The Intake manifold I have is in fantastic condition and will bolt right on. The transmission works well, it shifts into all gears, the rear drive works good and no noises come from it.
