At 77 years of age, I reluctantly decided to give up motorcycle riding after a lot of encouragement from my family to do so. It went down on left size. There is one small area where I touched up paint, some scratches on top bag that I rubbed out, and some scratches on left mirror that were buffed out. Painted side bags were not on the bike when dropped. To restore completely the replacement mirror would coast about $80 and the touch up area was quoted through the BMW dealer at $360, but direct work with body shop would be somewhat less. The Top Bag looks OK. Tried to show defects in pictures. This is the fourth BMW that I have owned including a K1200LT, K1200RS and a 750/5. It is the easiest riding of all of the motorcycles that I have owned including Honda, Suzuki, Harley, and Triumph. A sport touring bike that I have ridden 550 miles in a day at age 74 and rode the Tail Of The Dragon.

Excellently maintained and has all the extras, but has suffered a low-speed accident so is for sale with a salvage title. Still runs great, has a lot of good miles left and looks good from a distance, but has cosmetic damage. I was recently T-boned at an intersection by a car that accelerated from a stop for 20 feet (that's how slow the hit was). The left side took the hit and flopped the bike down on the right. The side cases took most of the impact and were broken. The left valve cover had the BMW plastic guard that disintegrated as expected but saved the valve cover. The right valve cover slid for a few feet and has the scratches. Ironically, the new Touratech valve cover protectors you see in the pictures were purchased before the accident but not installed yet! There are other scatches and minor plastic damage. The biggest cosmetic damage came from the broken brake master cylinder, which has been replaced with a new unit. The brake fluid got on the instrument cluster and put a haze on the plastic. The good news is all the extras this bike has. No expense was spared. Bill Meyer leather seat front and rear, Remus exhaust and headers, Wilbers suspension front and rear, PIAA auxiliary lights, Shorai Lithium battery, maintained with AMSoil synthetic oil, only a few thousand miles on Pilot Road 4 tires and other farkles. I could part out this bike and make more money but I don't have the time (you could part it out too). Not too pretty, but you can't beat the price.
