1993 BMW R100RS MONOLEVER GREAT CONDITION RUNS PERFECT RARE! This 1 of only 60 1993 R100RS produced! It is the last and finest of the Airheads! Even more rare is the gorgeous paint scheme of DunkelBlau - HellSilber (Dark Blue - Bright Silver). I am the 3rd owner of this beautiful motorcycle. I purchased it from a gentleman who rode it sparingly and maintained it extremely well. He purchased it from a collector who did the same. I have owned it for 2 years and continued the maintenance tradition. Always garaged, cleaned and covered. Mechanical: The motorcycle cranks easy and runs perfectly. Brakes are great. Newer tires have plenty of tread left. Battery is strong. I ride it occasionally on weekends usually 100-150 miles. I have never experienced any type of issue and wouldn't hesitate to ride it cross-country. It is a fun bike to ride. Shifts and rides smoothly. Sounds great too. Classic BMW. Cosmetic: It is in overall very nice, clean condition for its age. Paint is glossy and chrome is bright. Engine is clean. The saddle bags are near perfect. Close inspection will reveal some minor scratches and marks typical of age and use. There are also some spots on the lower faring where it looks like something splashed up and discolored the silver paint (see pics). There are some touched-up chips in the paint on the tank. The previous owner let his nephew use the bike one day and he strapped a tank bag on top without the protective pad. The rivets on the bottom of the bag chipped the paint while riding. The previous owner did a nice job touching up the chips with the proper German glauser paint. I have the DunkelBlau and HellSilber glauser paint, which I will included with purchase. The chips aren't really noticeable from a couple feet away, but they are there (Please see pics). Extras: Original BMW Toolkit; Original BMW Lock; Original BMW Saddle Bags; Original BMW Top Case (not pictured, but included); and a set of custom Kathy's Journey R100RS Faring Pokets (nice!). Also, the previous owner installed a set of bar risers to raise the handle bars a couple of inches for a more comfortable riding position. You can easily return the bars to their original position if desired, but the risers are installed and included in the sale. This is a beautiful motorcycle that always turns heads as you can tell by the photos. You won't see another one of these on the same road with you. It is a highly sought after classic BMW and one of the rarest airheads ever! And it is really cool! If you're in the market for a classic BMW Airhead, you don't want to miss this one. I'm very reluctant to sell it, but I want to get a bike that will be more comfortable for my wife to ride with me. 1973 BMW R 100 , FOR SALE: 1973 BMW /5 with 1977 R100/7 Engine and Gearbox. Bike has 83,820 miles on it. Engine conversion was done by a previous owner, and has about 20k miles on it since rebuild. This motorbike is solid and runs great after a recent tune-up and engine oil change by Motorcycle Works, Ltd. in Brooklyn. There are some cosmetic flaws and some surface rust on the side panels. I have upgraded the headlight and handlebar switchgear, as well as a speedometer upgrade and calibration by Palo Alto Speedometer. The starter relay has been modified to fix the cricket noise. Bike is equipped with a Brown side stand and a helmet lock. Headlight is covered in a custom leather cover by Via Meccanica in Brooklyn. Tires are about 18 months old and in great shape. A new sealed battery was installed in October. If you know anything about these bikes, you know they were meant to last. Vintage bikes need a lot of attention and are fun to refurbish, and this one would make an excellent daily rider or winter project. 1977 BMW R100RS, R100RS 1977 --, Own one of the first of the factory faired superbikes. Up for sale is a good example of a 1977 BMW R100RS. Im the third owner and purchased the bike in March 2002. The odometer stopped working shortly after at 76920. Ive put maybe another 5K miles on it since and estimate the mileage at 82K. The bike was painted rattle-can white when I bought it and has been repainted with PPG two-part urethane over PPG DP epoxy primer. I chose white since I wasnt able to find the color code at the time and the German racing color is white. All the white bits were taken down to bare glass and wet sanded to 400 grit before priming and painting. The R100 was offered in two versions for 1982 through 1984, the Touring and the Sport. Both were to the same specification except that Touring meant standard saddlebags and Sport, CS sport handlebar fairing and lower bars – just like the R90S! Such is the interchangeability of many BMW components some R100s were dealer "enhanced", often effectively changing one model into another at the dealership. Both factory versions weighed close to 481lb wet with a top speed of 110mph. Only 193 R100s reached America's shore in 1984 and by the next model year the new K-model was all the rage and no 1,000c boxer twins were imported. Thus, this R100 is a rare example of BMW's iconic, big air-cooled boxer.
