The bike is triple matching vin (Frame, Title, and Engine) 1964 /2. The R50 is well known as one of the smoothest and most reliable vintage motorcycles. Purchased from a long time East Coast collector who has owned the bike since new in 1964. This bike has only had two owners, the original owner and myself. I purchased it several years ago out of a probate sale in Connecticut. The bike arrived completely restored but had not been ridden in about 15yrs. Following delivery to San Francisco was sent in for maintenance from a shop that specializes in /2. Starts easily usually with one kick even with cold starts. Once started will quickly idle smoothly. Runs wonderfully silent. Its an incredible elegant machine. The brake shoes (front and back) serviced. Re-torqued all nuts and bolts on the bike. The wiring and lights are all functional. The valves have been gapped to spec. Ignition and timing have been service. New spark plugs. Cleaned/Re-built both carburetors with new gaskets. Serviced horn. New fuel lines Oil was changed. (Engine, transmission, driveshaft, and final drive). All the cables are new. There is zero oxidation or rust on the bike. The rims are the much sought after aluminum. They are stunningly shinny. There are beautifully bits or chrome around the bike including the triple-tree for the forks. The black power-coated paint on the fenders and gas tank is in fantastic condition and pin-striping will make any collector smile. All the locks and original keys work perfectly. The tires are Avon and have about 500 miles on them. The tires are much smoother to ride around turns verses the period 'Flat-walled' tires that come on Vintage bikes. The Avon’s seem to make the bike float around turns. This is the Euro model and comes with the Earles Forks front end instead of the US standard telescoping forks. Looks so much cooler and more collectable. Of course comes with the original Euro bars with headlight mirrors.. Thank You and God Bless America

The S 1000 RR revolutionized the supersports class when it first came out in 2009. Now it steps up to the very same challenge. The current S 1000 RR model has been completely revised: BMW Motorrad engineers have entirely revised the bike's technology, design and fittings. The result: in its origins a genuine Double R, on the road a new supersports machine. A facelift is not enough. The RR is the epitome of a superbike - and that applies to its design, too. Now in its third generation, you can instantly see its increased power. The profile is razor-sharp and extremely clear, the volume of the contours and shapes perfectly balanced. From the rear to the front section, every trim component has been redesigned - including the headlamp element, where the symmetry has been given greater emphasis. Increased output, reduced weight. The new S 1000 RR has an output of 199 hp - 6 hp more than its predecessor. But it is not just its higher rated output that makes the Double R faster and more agile. Weighing in at 450 lbs incl. ABS and traction control, it is some 8.8 lbs lighter than the previous version. Furthermore, it has a newly designed exhaust system as well as a new engine set-up for increased torque, an improved output curve and many other optimized details. Consistently revised down to the last detail. In addition to major changes to design and performance, it is primarily the technical details which allow the S 1000 RR to take such a quantum leap forward. The electronic suspension components DDC and DTC have been given a new set-up, as has the entire suspension. This ensures greatly improved traction as well as better feedback to the rider. Optimized riding is enabled by such features as the Shift Assistant Pro (shifting up and down without clutch) and the e-gas throttle actuator for more precise and direct control. The rider operates these new features via the newly designed instrument panel which can be adapted to the specific type of use. All in all: a new S 1000 RR. In taking the S 1000 RR a step further for model year 2015, absolutely every component was re-assessed. The result is a superbike what will once again set the benchmark in its class - in other words a genuine Double R. Features may include: DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) The BMW DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) system continuosly monitor rear wheel traction under acceleration. If a loss of traction is detected, the system intervenes to control unwanted rear wheel spin. There are the legendary RS series of sport-tourers, the long distance comfort of the LT models and even a dual-sport series in the GS and F650 models. Despite this wide variety of designs there has never been an American-style cruiser - until now. BMW formally introduced their interpretation of the species to the international motorcycling press last week in Tucson, Arizona. The German firm also brought along members of their engineering and design teams to explain the concept behind their new model. According to BMW head designer David Robb, the man responsible for styling the 1200C, this bike was designed t o portray both a laid back cruiser stance and also showcase BMW's technical sophistication. It accomplishes a unique cruiser look throu gh styling touches such as the open area around the rear shock and wheel, while the engineering savvy of its Telelever front end is unmistakable. As Robb so aptly pointed out, "It is the BMW of cruisers." BMW gave the R1200C a leather seat and handgrips. The passenger seat folds up to be used as a backrest. Few would expect BMW to compromise ride quality for styling purposes, and they certainly haven't done so with the 1200C. Comfort is excellent, even though our ride took place in 100 degree temperatures. A clever addition to both style and comfort is the passenger seat, which folds up to be used as a driver backrest that has a range of three different angles, and can be adjusted while you're riding. More Action Photos Ground clearance is far greater than the current crop of boulevard cruisers, allowing respectable lean angles when the road turns twisty. Power is uninspiring however, as peak horsepower has been traded for low-end torque to fit the bike's cruising role. Smaller exhaust and intake valves, as well as an altered intake tract combine with an increased bore and stroke to provide a flat, torquey power spread. While some will find the 1200C's styling awkward and unusual, there is no questioning the fact that if you like this Beemer's looks you'll love the way it works. 1200C owners will also have the distinction of owning BMW's first-ever cruiser, a bike that may just have significant influences on both the company's -- and even the market's -- direction.

I bought this bike in 2002 with ~29,000 miles on it. The engine and chassis numbers match. I replaced the missing RS fairing with a Rifle fairing (which was obviously modeled after the RS fairing) as a placeholder, with plans to piece together an original RS fairing, intending to keep the bike indefinitely. It also had the Corbin saddle installed; the original seat wasn't included. Then, in March 2012, I hit a deer while riding a friend's bike, and retired from the sport. This RS hasn't been on the road since the summer of 2011. With gas in the tank and a fresh battery, it starts right up. Everything electrical is working, and the alternator keeps the battery charged. New parts installed within the last 10,000 miles: battery, Dunlop 491 tires, both mufflers, rear brake pads, fork seals and gators, adjustable gear shift linkage, Thunderchild ignition module, and solid-mounted Thunderchild diode board. The side stand is aftermarket; I believe it's a Reynolds. The clutch splines and rear wheel spines were last cleaned and lubed in 2011, with no evidence of wear on the splines. I run the transmission, drive shaft and rear end with Amsoil synthetic gear oil, and the engine on 20W-50 Amsoil motorcycle engine oil. So, it's a collectible bike with potential for whatever sort of restoration the next owner desires. I drove it in its present set-up for several years with no problems, once covering 660 mile in one day. It pulls hard and was very fast in its day. If I still rode, I'd be riding this bike. However, since it's been sitting for 4 years, I can't recommend to anyone that they try driving it cross-country prior to a thorough inspection and tune-up by an expert, hopefully its new owner. Safety first. I hope this finds a good home. I'll miss it.
