1964 BSA Star Fire 250 , 1964 BSA C15 S Starfire Scrambler project. This is a rare find, its a genuine factory built 250 Starfire scrambler, not a home brewed C15 road bike conversion Its exactly as I got it. Good starter. It kicks over with strong compression and selects gears It looks to be in very original condition apart from the cut down mudguards and missing rear light and chainguard The carb slide moves on the twistgrip and the clutch and brakes operate The engine is stamped as a C15S It is in good condition, and will make a nice project. It has the heavyweight forks, folding footrests, alloy tank, energy transfer ignition, and the 6" headlight, single seat which are all genuine features. I have ply and would ship anywhere. $2,500.00

I've owned the beautiful little Beeza for several years now and have thoroughly enjoyed owning and riding it but I've got too many machines and need to thin the herd. This is by far the best-running BSA 250 I've ever ridden. With just over 1,400 miles, it runs like new. It starts easily, runs great, it shifts smoothly and precisely, pulls hard through all the gears and I've run it at 70 mph on club rides, keeping up with the big singles and twins, much to their surprise! It's actually as fast as my 441 Victor, and is smoother, easier to start and handles better. The brakes work beautifully, that twin-leading shoe front brake hauling the bike down from speed like a disc! It's a beautiful machine, although not a show bike. There are some nicks, flaws, etc. A couple tiny small cuts in the original seat were filled and are almost invisible. The Dunlop K-70-style tires have very good tread on them but have cracking on the sidewalls. The color scheme and decals really show off the bike's great lines, and I've fitted a Dunstall Decibel Silencer muffler in place of the stock item, which allows the quarter-litre single to breath better, rev higher and run stronger than stock. It also gives it an authoritative "big thumper" sound. If you prefer the stock muffler, I'll switch it back for you. I've ridden it on the All-British Ride out of Hansen Dam here is SoCal a few times and it keeps up with the big bikes and I can slip under them in the corners as it is so nimble and easy handling. This is an ideal classic bike for the beginner to the hobby, for a woman or a shorter rider. Its 18-inch wheels keep the saddle height low enough to place both your feet on the ground at stop lights. Also, the previous owner had fitted turn signals, which actually work! It does add an extra element of safety in traffic and I find myself using them. The photos show the stock Western bars but I replaced them with lower European bars (see last pics from British Run where I'd just completed 110-mile loop through the Angeles Crest Highway). If you prefer the higher bars, I can swap them back for you too. Hard to find a really good 250 BSA out there, and these are getting a lot of attention lately as the 441 singles are up around the $10k mark now for the really good ones. And with just over 1400 miles on the working odometer, it's fresh, strong and reliable. I have the clear title, in my name. Enjoy the pics, ask any questions! ~ Dave

Very nice Original condition Beezer 250 Scrambler with high front fender, upswept exhaust, and skidplate under the motor. Tires, sprockets, and wear items in excellent condition (except original BSA footpeg rubbers have some cracking/dryrot). I don't know a whole lot about these bikes, but this one appears to be in exceptionally nice original shape with a total of 1743 miles on it, as verified on the clean Ohio title that is currently in my name. It appears to have original Lucas hand controls, switches, lights, lenses and paint. The oil reservoir is in the frame. Keys also actuate fork lock. I believe that the above is true and correct, although I am not an expert on these bikes. If anyone knows differently, from looking at the pictures, please let me know and I will update or correct the listing as long as supportive data/documentation is available.

Frame and engine numbers match. Clear title in hand. Runs fine. Paint is in very good shape. Chrome is mostly in very good shape (top fork nuts and gas cap have some light rust). Chrome on gas tank is in exceedingly good shape for a 47 year old bike. Bike is original and unrestored and is complete except for reflectors which mount under the tank (I have the original Lucas reflectors but can't find the mounts). Bike is in great shape for its age with correct patina. The original hi/lo beam/horn switch has been replaced with Triumph type switch (Lucas). This is the single carb model, which makes it easy to keep in tune. This model also has the good twin leading shoe (TLS) front brake, which was the best front brake BSA ever made (BSA modified it again in 1971, which was a step backwards). Oil has been changed regularly. You would have a hard time finding another A65 in this condition, as the (very) few that are out there have either been totally restored (and sell for $10k and up) or are in pretty rough shape, usually missing many parts (requiring $$$), and probably run poorly (if at all). This bike will turn heads as is, would hold its own in a local bike show, or would be an outstanding candidate for a full concourse restoration. I can arrange shipping if needed, or can deliver within 250 miles for $1.50 per mile. Email any questions. Thanks NADA guide values a bike like this at $6-8k, but I am selling for much less because I need to sell quickly
