The 45th Cheney built with Street Title! 1967 Cheney BSA 441cc Victor Engine #: B44R 741 Frame #: MK2 45 As the follow-on to BSA's legendary Gold Star thumper, the 441 Victor had big shoes to fill. Tough act, especially at a time when the market included four Japanese competitors that were pumping out increasingly improving products, something the Goldie never had to contend with. But the 441 did well as a dual-purpose model in America, even making it onto enduro courses with some success. Eric Cheney never worked for any motorcycle manufacturer, preferring to make motorcycles in his own eccentric way. His greatest success came after the BSA competition department had closed. The venture was uniquely British. The bikes were designed and built on a shoestring budget in little more than a domestic garage. But the results were spectacular. Each handbuilt motorcycle took over 400 man-hours to complete. The bike offered here is Cheney’s 45th built. Of 1967 vintage, this Mark 2 machine has been maintained, raced and modified by someone who obviously knew what they were doing. A stronger Triumph leftside engine cover was fitted to the 1967 441 Victor motor, and for reliability and tune a new Amal carb was installed. Modifications to suspension are Ceriani forks up front and Curnutt rear shocks. Wheels have a BSA lightweight rear hub and twin leading shoe brake fitted to the front. Both have fresh tires, and the original front wheel accompanies the bike. The bike is offered in great condition, having just been gone through by a British bike specialist. The usual re-commissioning of brakes, suspension, carburetion and spark was all it took. The engine has great compression, starts and runs easily. The bike is fast and handles well. This rare opportunity for a great classic off-road bike is offered with a clean, clear California Street title.

This motorcycle, the Victor Special was driven  to world champions  in 1965 and 1966, by Victor Smith, BSA than due to the fame he brought to this model developed and sold the street version, The Victor Special. I purchased  this BSA from a motorcycle enthusist, three years ago, he owned this BSA for approx. 10 plus years, and did extensive rebuilding of it. I can no longer ride this vintage bike due to age and health. Always garaged and detailed, well maintained and properly stored for the colder months. Driven approximately 25 miles per season. Nothing has to be done to enjoy this vintage cycle. I can put you in contact with the previous owner for the work report. I do have extra parts, and a new single seat, and a shop manual, owners manual which is signed by Victor Smith.Dennis K 920 421 1000 or email me at [email protected]

I know what you're asking, and...yes, this is the real deal OG enduro bike of your on/offroad dreams... yes it will get you all the ladies of said dreams (even if those ladies are doods, no doi, it's 2015)...and yes, for a meager $3,000—REDUCED! ...the bike is a 1965 BSA 441 Victor Special. Clean title. Unrestored and all original aside from the speedo (a kawasaki) and some cables and wires. The tank is a rare edition for the victor . I am its second owner. Fully functional, street ready--unknown miles but they are low (it as spent most of its miles on its back wheel). It has brand new tires (Pirelli MT 43 trials rear and Shinko SR241 front), new battery, and brakes were just restored. The only blemish is a small dent in the tank (it looks tough, but easy to bang out if that's your vibe). In all, this is a once in a lifetime bike that I have to get rid of as I leave austin to head west in my Westfalia. Whether you are looking for an easy restoration, or an incredibly fun and unique bike, look no further. It was a daily rider for me for a while, but it requires love in that it is old and british. have reduced the price to $3,000 because I need to get her a new home soon--feel free to contact me if you have questions, want more info or want to come see the beast in person.
