Owned by Poison’s Rikki Rockett 1964 BSA A65 Lightning Rocket Engine Number Number: A65D 5124 BSA followed their acquisition of Ariel with the purchase of Triumph in 1951. It was decided from the outset that BSA and Triumph would retain complete autonomy. Indeed, that policy endured for almost two decades, until BSA Triumph Group Ltd were in dire financial straits, by when a certain amount of Badge Engineering did then occur, albeit against great opposition from a loyal middle management. So, when it came to the vital introduction of unit construction motors BSA unfortunately lagged about three years behind. BSA's 650cc A65 still sold across the globe in tens of thousands; its rugged engine also evolved into the definitive mode of propulsion in the hyper competitive world of European sidecar racing. By 1965 this machine had become the Lightning which was a natural design progression aimed at the American market. This California black license plate, matching numbers icon of British café racer and rocker culture of the 1960s is most appropriately owned by the drummer of quintessential rock band Poison, Rikki Rockett. From Mechanicsburg, PA, this founding member of the band has been a huge fan of the Britbike scene that began in the cafes of the North Circular of London. He began Brit Iron Rebels, a vintage and modern retro motorcycle internet-based group dedicated to that Rocker motorcycle culture. Some years ago, the bike was subject to a complete restoration. Rockett’s enthusiasm to ride is reflected in just how the bike was built. It was completely dismantled and everything was rebuilt, refurbished or replaced as needed. The engine was fully rebuilt and the gearbox was gone through and then hung in the powder-coated frame. All cycle parts were rebuilt, including new Excel rims, polished, painted and laced with stainless spokes. The bike was upgraded to electronic ignition to aid reliability. Attention was given as needed to brakes and suspension. Up front, a Triumph T140 front end was installed with disc brake for the greatly improved braking of 1970s technology. Cosmetically, the bike is beautifully presented. Tank and side panels were repainted and remain in excellent condition. The rest of the bike is also nicely settled with the patina of a high quality restoration. The bike is in excellent riding condition. Fresh from service to ready the bike for sale, it starts easily, idles well and the engine is responsive and powerful. It shifts well through the gearbox with a good clutch. Brakes and suspension work well and all electrical systems operate as they should. And again Rockett’s enthusiasm for the bike is reflected in the mileage. When he purchased it as a one-owner California machine, it showed only 2500 miles, and now the odometer reads 10,660 miles. This is a great opportunity to acquire a fantastic riding British icon of cool, owned by an American icon of the same.

FASTTT SALES, LLC 1967 BSA SPITFIRE MARK III SPECIAL 1967 BSA Spitfire Mark III SpecialThis listing is for an extremely well restored BSA Spitfire. The 1967 model year brought the best to BSA, especially the Spitfire. The previous year (1966) was a good idea and a beautiful motorcycle, but, had deficiencies such as GP carbs (difficult to keep the bike running!). So, the 1967 solved the problems....an outstanding street/performance bike while retaining the beautiful styling. This motorcycle has the best of the model year....polished Borrani rims, home market tank and, of course, the correctly finished 190mm front brake. The motorcycle was completely restored, mechanically and cosmetically. Many NOS parts were used and every part received refinishing/restoration. Take a good look at the pictures. The high quality work was done by Roger Jones of Georgia....his restorations have earned numerous “Best of Show” and "Best of class" awards... and you can see why! Following restoration, the motorcycle was ridden a mere 9 miles and has been kept in climate controlled conditions (in my personal collection) since. It would be difficult to imagine a better restoration of this model. It’s unique beauty puts it in a class with the BSA Rocket Gold Star and other rare BSA motorcycles. The motorcycle is sold with a newly issued, South Carolina title (and of course matching frame and engine ). The price is a very reasonable $14,299 or Best Offer. FASTTT SALES, LLC 1963 BSA ROCKET GOLD STAR This listing is for a beautifully restored 1963 BSA Rocket Gold Star in Scrambles trim. This extraordinarily rare motorcycle was restored by Tim Bardsley of Ontario, Canada. Tim is the best on these rare BSA motorcycles...he understands them and, as you can readily see, has great attention to detail! The rarity of these motorcycles is simply in their purpose. They were built for competition and competition only! Thus, the lack of electrics, tail lamps, head lamps, etc. They were ridden hard and in most cases, the limited number built, didn't survive and were damaged in competition/practice. This one not only survived, but, was in great condition and an excellent candidate for restoration. OK, all that about competition! The bike is beautiful! Incredibly beautiful! It’s small tank and racing seat....the high exhausts and the clean, uncluttered design all contribute to one of, if not the best, competition motorcycles of the British motorcycle era. The motorcycle was comprehensively restored....meaning mechanically and cosmetically. Look at the pictures and you will see the high quality workmanship.....none better!! The motorcycle has a clear title and a Dating Certificate from the BSA Owner’s Club. You can be assured that the motorcycle is accurately restored and the numbers are correct for this motorcycle. BSA Rocket Gold Stars have long been the “sought after” British classic. This one, in Scrambles Trim, is no exception! We offer this very rare motorcycle at a reasonable $14,499. You are looking at a 1929 JDH 2 cam "cut down." (bobber these days). This bike has been a cut down ,I believe, about 80 years. There were only 100 of these Harley-Davidson motorcycles made in 1928 and 29. The 1929 crash and depression was on it's way and these Harleys were about 200 bucks more expensive so they didn't sell well. Better for us, I guess. It has 3 speeds and original rear stand and new chain, sprockets and clutch. A couple sets of points and some rear brake lining goes with this Harley.I got invited to the 2012 Canon ball run but our house caught fire and I had to rebuild it, so couldn't go. My preparation for the canonball was to completely rebuild the transmission which was done by Steve Lipoldt, rebuild the generator, with nos parts, done at Harbor Vintage in Vermont and to get the original coil rewound with, get this, 7500 feet of .0015 wire. New plug wires. These bikes had dual headlights as new but this one only has one with original taillight. It's been painted black & white for a very long time. It has two extra taillights I added to the rear. Can't have too much light back there. It has the rectangular dash, not the triangle dash with ammeter as some had. This 1929 was the second year of the front brake. With these old front brakes the bike went faster when it was pulled ;-). It now has a 1968 BSA double leading shoe front brake that stops great. Both wheels and tires are 400/18" Dunlop K70s (C pic). which handle and ride great. This bike is very nimble handling. The handlebars and spirals are re-manufactured with all new inner and outer cables. The grips are just tape like riders did back then. This machine has been completely rewired. It has switch and fuse on the ground wire for fast shutoff if needed, There is no speedo but there's no more that 600 miles on the motor and only about 100 miles on the other rebuilt items. This Harley is for sale on 3 other sites, Europe. plus locally so this auction may end without notice so if ya want or need a very very rare old museum piece or a daily rider, bid...ah nobody hasta tell ya that. Whomever really wants it is gonna win it. $1000 immediate deposit into my PayPal. Final payment is any way we agree on... Cash is king. Shipping is free in the con US if I get $55,000 and under 55 we'll split the shipping 50/50...Howzat? Winner must set up shipping with a trucker that ships to their area. I will help with any shipping. In Florida, after full payment, I will deliver it for the gas money. I know a vehicle shipper for specific area, between the southern USA and upper USA, east of the Mississippi and maybe into Canada although I never discussed Canada with him. He is fully insured and passionate about his care of antique vehicles. Just the lower end of these engines go for $10,000 or more if one's lucky enough to find one....Offers are gladly entertained. FWI: When I acquired this bike it had 400/18 1950, totally worn flat, dry rotted and cracked, Sears-Roebuck, tires on it. The pre WW 2 real rubber inner tubes held air pretty well with 4 patches in each tube. When I installed the new Dunlops, with new tubes, each wheel got 17 pounds lighter. Call Florida George at 772-466-9009 office-shop or 772-20104242 cell with any questions or to just bulls--t. Be glad to hear from y'all. Have fun bidding. AMCA # 6362I also buy, sell and rebuild Linkert carburetors. If possible I have a one day turnaround. labor is a flat hundred bucks, plus parts. {No damaged Linkert carb bodies please.} They come back looking brand new.I will also rebuild any F head-pocket valve, Flathead, Knuckle or Pan motor. I do em right and sometimes it ain't cheap depending on condition when I get em. I get $30 per hour, keeping track exactly, in a book I keep for time keeping.Been biking for 57 years and 500,000 miles.
