1966 BSA Hornet , The BSA 1966 Hornet A65 was built as a competition model to compete in the English Hare Scrambles, before motocross evolved. These bikes were ridden in the California desert races by such notables as Steve Mqueen, Dick Mann and a host of others. They were also converted to flat track bikes and won many championships. This bike is fully documented with a rebuilt engine and trans, new Akront wheels w/stainless spokes and a list of other repairs and reconditioned parts. It has the Mikuni carb conversion along with an electronic ignition. It has brand new Avon street tires and tubes. All fluids have been serviced including the front forks. Any rubber lines have bee replaced. The original parts (3 languages) and original owners manual included. There is a large tub of various parts included also. It has a steel Goldstar tank on it but comes with the original fiberglass race tank. (don't use it!) I run 100 leaded octain race gas in it. The parts tub is included with sale. Don't miss out on this true time castle of Motorcycle History. Call or text Tim 714-227-8087 Price is negotiable. More pics available on request. Bike can be sen at Tom's BSA on Manzanita in Oran $5,200.00

Nice original patina! 1971 RICKMAN METISSE WESLAKE 500cc BSA B44 Frame number: 1934 Engine number: 98246 As Tom White writes on motocrossactionmag.com: By the late 1950s, Englishmen Don and Derek Rickman had become world-class motocross riders, and with good design and fabrication skills, knew they could build something better. They soon introduced their Rickman Metisse (metisse is French for mongrel) chassis kit for British four-stroke engines. The Metisse pioneered such ideas as oil in the frame, fiberglass bodywork, narrow chassis width and nickel-plated Reynolds 530 tubing. The Rickman’s marketing plan was simple. The brothers would race the bikes on Sunday and sell them on Monday. After a winning weekend, the public would literally line up to buy the Rickman machines. Possibly the ultimate Rickman Metisse was the Mark IV Weslake BSA B44 powered machine. The BSA powerplant was small, originally starting out as a 250cc single-cylinder, but would prove both powerful and reliable, especially when the Weslake 500cc top-end was added. Top of the line chassis components like Ceriani forks and Girling shocks were used and lightweight Akront alloy rims completed the package. Rickmans weren’t just kit bikes. They were great bikes. The bike offered was found languishing in a private collection for many years. Properly stored in a dry environment with fluids drained it took very little to resurrect this rather special machine. The usual re-commissioning of brakes, suspension, carburetion and spark by a local marque expert was all it took. The engine has great compression, starts and runs easily. The bike is fast and handles well. The previous owner built the bike up to be a fun road-going machine with the addition of a rare Flanders headlight and a taillight, which has since been removed. It also sports a twin leading shoe front brake and a 19” wheel. The bike comes with a clean, clear California road title! This is a great opportunity to acquire a rare and fantastic icon of the dirt, in road-going trim!

2014 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition, 2014 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition KTM turned the model year concept a bit upside down a couple years ago, when they first introduced their Factory Edition models. That allowed them to bring their latest updates to each race season, by building enough models to satisfy the AMA's homologation rules. This time around we focused on chassis improvements, new suspension components, and once again, trimming weight. Since they first introduced the bike in 2012, they claim a total weight savings of five pounds, with nearly a pound-and-a-half of that coming this year.

1967 BSA 441cc VICTOR MOTOR CYCLE DIRT BIKE BSA VICTOR 441cc. I have had this bike in storage for the past 3 years. It ran when I put it away. It has a lot of compression. I have a bad knee so I have not attempted to kick start it. I have re-listed the 441 as the buyer flaked out.( if you have fewer than 10 positive ratings Please contact me before bidding) If you do not intend to pay please do not bid. Anyway the 441 also comes with a complete newer seat and a box of goodies I have been collecting. I was going to restore this but never got to it. No idea on mileage, I have bought a used speedometer but it is not connected. Please take a look at all the photos. If you want more photos or more information call Jim at 650 279 8524. The Victor is located 20 miles south of San Francisco. If you would like to see it please get in touch to set up a time. The bike will come with a bill of sale. Background on BSA 441cc The key to understanding the BSA Victor Special’s concept lies in the bike’s name - and the very different way in which motocross was viewed in the 1960s. BSA won the 500cc World Motocross Championship in 1964 and 1965 and 40 years ago, motocross success was good for road bike sales. Rather than being a specialized niche activity the vast majority of road riders knew about motocross and the mainstream motorcycle press gave the sport as much coverage as they did road racing. So this explains the “Victor” connotation: a bike which was directly related to World Championship motocross success. The Victor GP racer was very much the younger brother of the innocuous 250cc BSA C.15 road bike - a machine never intended for racing. By the time it transmuted into the Victor, the 441cc bike had been bored and stroked and the power vastly increased. What had been retained - almost - was the C.15’s 250cc motorcycle weight. For a factory motocross machine, this was ideal. A works Victor was some 100 lbs lighter than a Goldstar and although the engine made 12 bhp less than the Goldie, the handling and acceleration were vastly better.

A little History on Harry Hindall: Harry HindallHarry Hindall was a motorcycle frame builder, aerospace engineer, and a desert racer From England who learned his welding skills working from some of the best; Don and Derrick Rickman. A new job brought him to SoCal. where he worked for Northrop in L.A. area, and until the layoffs of the 70’s would work as an engineer. While in SoCal he became a desert racer in District 37 AMA. Others noticed his specially built Triumph Twin in his home built frame, and they asked to ride it.After that he had friends wanting frames built for their bikes as well. When he was layed off for a few years, he ramped up his production of hand built one-of-a-kinds’s to make frames for D & RT1’s, Suzuki’s 250/400, Kawasaki 350 Bighorns, BSA and Triumph Twins and Singles. His final design was a TT500 Yamaha. Most 2-stroke bikes were about 30 lbs lighter when done, and the Twins sometimes up to 60 lbs lighter! He also made his own plastic Rickman style tanks (in Red) and seat combos. You would custom order your frame telling him what forks and wheels you were going to use. He also sold lightweight hollow axles and swing arm bolts, as well as Adel clamps that were used to mount most anything to his frames without welding. Frames sold finished were all nickel plated, unfinished w/o motor mounts, and would come bare metal. Less than 75 total frames were built, and no real records were kept. But if you look at the bikes VIN’s they are very different. Both of these bikes end in #72. Made in 1972 maybe? Both bikes had the then new state of the art conical 1972 Yamaha front wheels on them. Maybe a clue… I believe the VIN is nothing more than a manufactures date, and nothing more. I have seen two bikes with big horn motors and the #71 as the last numbers also. This is an original Harry Hindall DT1 250 still the original nikel plating in the frame in excellent condition! this bike runs great! has the Akront shouldered rims, DT1 tank, Hindall seat, Motocross style bars (solid) Really nice rare bike! if you google Hary Hindall you will see several of his bikes that sold, another DT1 250 sold for $15000.00 you can have this one for less. Can crate and ship in the continental US , and can crate for overseas Shipping also .I will not ship overseas though. there is no title on this off road bike

1974 Cheney Triumph 500cc TR5MX Engine number: TR5MX HH75668 Eric Cheney never worked for any motorcycle manufacturer, preferring to make motorcycles in his own eccentric way. His greatest success came after the BSA competition department had closed. In 1972, Eric came to an agreement with the ex-BSA race team leader, John Banks, to make a serious attempt to win the motocross blue ribbon - the 500cc world championship. The venture was uniquely British. The bikes were designed and built on a shoestring budget in little more than a domestic garage. But the results were spectacular. Banks finished second in the American Grand Prix and won the British motocross championship. BSA were delighted and offered to sell Eric 500 engine kits to build into his Cheney chassis. With the backing of BSA dealer Ken Heanes, Eric was initially enthusiastic, but the daily grind did not excite him, and only 225 of the 500 bikes were finished. However, each handbuilt motorcycle took over 400 man-hours to complete. After the demise of BSA, the last of the B50MX engines were rebadged as Triumph TR5MX. The bike offered here is one of the last Cheneys built with the Triumph TR5MX engine, making it a supremely rare machine, indeed. It was found languishing in a private collection for many years, properly stored in a dry environment with fluids drained, and as such, it took very little to resurrect this rather special machine. The usual re-commissioning of brakes, suspension, carburetion and spark by a local marque expert was all it took. The engine has great compression, starts and runs easily. The bike is fast and handles well. This incredibly rare bike features some rather special parts including magnesium hubs and triple trees, as well as uprated suspension at both ends. This is a great opportunity to acquire a super-rare and fantastic icon of the dirt!

1970 Norton 750Trackmaster Vintage Off-RoadCommando Desert racer NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OR BUYERS UNLESS BUYER MAKES ALL ARRANGEMENTS, and only then if I am CONTACTED IN ADVANCE. Trackmaster oil-in-frame built specifically for desert racing-- beautiful original nickel finish. Custom Trackmaster swingarm with dual shock positions. 1970 Norton 750 Commando motor - balanced & blueprinted w/extensive head work. Norton 4 speed transmission - blueprinted. Massey Ferguson points Magneto ignition. Custom built aluminum desert skid plate protects all vitals. Vintage Hurst Airheart drilled disc brakes w/stainless braided lines – front & rear (cutting edge trick for 1970's). Leo St. Martin high seat w/ new velour seat cover. Steve Simons 38mm forks & triples. Charles Curnutt long travel desert shocks. Buchanan built wheels w/custom stainless hubs and stainless steel spokes. Dynamic Machine rear and front axles. Charlie Cavallo open megaphone dual exhaust (these are a work of art). 40mm Del Orto carburetor w/ K&N filter & ACK intake manifold. Charlie Cavallo custom primary housing. Custom billet aluminum magneto cover & various bits. Lightened bolts and nuts (mostly titanium & aluminum). Lightened sprockets and discs. Vesco desert tank. 1970 vintage Husqvarna aluminum fenders with custom mounting brackets (see last photo). Preston Petty front #plate / tool box w/vintage desert number plate. 3.25x21 front tire and 5.00x18 rear. All high risk bolts & nuts were safety wired for racing. This is a loud, brash, in your face vintage desert sled. If you're caught behind this bike while racing then you'd be in trouble--if the sound from those open megaphones don't kill you then the roost from that rear tire will. It is beyond trick--beyond 'works' even---it truly is a one-of-a-kind bike and would be impossible to duplicate now. I purchased this bike from the original owner/builder (the son of a famous Hollywood western film star of the 1950's) who had informed me that he had lost count of all the $$ he had invested in this bike. His estimate was 'somewhere around $40,000 or upwards over the years'. He told me that he had always wanted the ultimate MX/desert bike so in 1970 he contacted Trackmaster Racing Frames (who were famous for their short and long track flat-track frames) and specifically requested that they custom build him a motocross / grand prix desert frame for a Norton 750 motor that would have the longer rake steering angle for high speed tracking & stability. He paid them what was a small fortune at the time and waited forever, as Trackmaster was up to their eyeballs making their cutting edge flat track frames. The wait was worth it though because what you see here is this one of a kind / 'only one in the world' frame. Bike started out with conventional Betor short travel suspension and eventually evolved into the bike you see here. He spent ridiculous amounts of $$ on every trick part he could find or have custom built. His budget was unlimited. This bike was raced--improved upon---and raced again until it evolved into the long travel incarnation you see here. I doubt that there is another bike like this anywhere in the world and I sincerely doubt that anyone could duplicate this bike today, at any cost. Most of these parts are one off, and the ones that aren't are surely unobtainable now. Take a close look at those wheels & sprockets, the engine & exhaust, the carb & intake, the footpegs and brake arm, etc. Over 40 years of time and buckets of money have gone into turning a British heavyweight into this lightweight fighting machine. This is the one and only 750 Norton desert frame that was ever built by Trackmaster. Original nickel plate finish still shines like new. THIS IS A ONE OF A KIND BIKE AND SHOULD GO INTO A TOP LEVEL VMX OR OFF ROAD RACING COLLECTION OR MUSEUM. In all my years of collecting these bikes I've never run across another one even remotely like it. Bike has very few miles on it since it was restored. Please use ZOOM feature and check out the photos carefully. ---SEE BELOW FOR FURTHER PURCHASE AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS--- Bike is ready for YOUR RACE PREP prior to riding or racing it.Please look at photos and ask questions (USE zoom FEATURE). Prior to the mid-seventies, the world of motocross was exclusively the realm of the Old World European brands, llike BSA, Husqvarna and CZ. Then in 1965, the little upstart from Hamamatsu by the name of Suzuki made the bold decision to try their hand at Grand Prix motocross racing. Initially, their new RH works racers were woefully underpowered and comically overweight. They handled poorly, broke constantly and struggled to even finish a moto in the first few years of competition. By 1969, however, they had completely transformed their program. With the RH69, Suzuki had the most advanced machine on the track, and its first World title with Sweden's Olle Petterson at the controls. In a mere four years, Suzuki had gone from laughing stock to World Champion. During these remarkable years, Suzuki put a motocross machine into production, introducing the TM 250 and then the TM 400. However, the production racebikes were poor performers. In the early seventies, Suzuki ads touted the TM's as being direct descendants of the Factory racers of Geboers and DeCoster, while in actuality they shared not a part in common. The RH's were everything the production TM's were not: fast, light and built to win. If someone bought a TM400 expecting to get The Man's race machine, they were in for a rude (and often painful) awakening. Then in 1976, following the introduction of the all new RM series, Suzuki dropped a bomb on the motocross establishment with their works replica RM250A and RM370A. They looked to be nearly exact copies of the factory RH race bikes and a quantum leap ahead of the unloved TM's they replaced. With the introduction of the new RM's, Suzuki was poised to create a motocross dynasty that would dominate late seventies American motocross. With the new RM370A, Suzuki had set out to build a no compromise production racer. Gone was the heavy and flex prone carbon steel frame from the TM400 Cyclone, to be replaced with a genuine chrome-moly steel chassis like the Factory racers. The suspension on the RM was all-new as well and featured massive long-travel units front and rear. The motor was a trick "power-reed" design that stole the case-reed technology right off Roger's RN370 and mated it to a slick shifting five speed transmission. The new RM was pure performance, plain and simple. The heart of the new RM370A was its undersquare 77 x 80mm 372cc mill. The air-cooled two-stroke single featured a 6.9:1 compression ratio, upswept works style "through" pipe and Suzuki's maintenance free PEI (Pointless Electronic Ignition) system. While the basic motor design was fairly conventional for the time, its intake system was unique to the RM. In 1976, Suzuki introduced an innovative semi-case-reed intake design they dubbed "Power Reed". The Power Reed consisted of a hybrid combination of the traditional piston-port and case-reed intakes into one cylinder. On the RM370, there were actually two separate intake tracts, one above the other. The theory behind the Power Reed was to combine the excellent top-end power flow characteristics of an unobstructed piston-port intake, with the low-end response and superior torque of a reed-valve intake. By providing both intakes in one design, Suzuki hoped to achieve the best of both worlds-low-end grunt and top-end power. On the track, the RM370's Power Reed motor produced a very "Maico" style of power. This meant a very tractable flow of low-to-mid-torque that was easy to get hooked up and well suited to Open class racing. Off idle, the RM picked up quickly and pulled strongly into a strong midrange blast. Past the midrange hit, the RM slowly tapered off as it approached the rev limiter. At 38.50 horsepower, the RM370 had the power to run with the best in the class in '76. It preferred to be lugged and torqued around the track, instead of being revved like a big 250. While its output was a shade less that the Maico 450, its delivery was very similar. With the introduction of the RM line, Suzuki finally had a competitive production racer. After a decade of futility, Suzuki was no longer the door mat of the motocross world. The RM370A immediately erased the memory of the infamous TM400 Cyclone and its pitiful performance. It truly was a production replica of DeCoster's works bike and closer than any Suzuki fan had a right to hope for. The RM's would prove to be the body blow that would finally put the nail in the Europeans coffins. What Honda had started with the Elsinore, Suzuki would finish with the RM's, On offer here is a great example of the 1976 RM370A. In good overall cosmetic condition with only a few scratches and minor scuffs to engine cases and frame, and a small tear in the seat cover. Mechanically the bike is great with good responsive power, good brakes and suspension. With fresh paint on the tank, fresh tires and a fresh service, this icon of 1970s motocross is ready to race in the next AHRMA event.

1964 TRIUMPH FLAT TRACKER Just have too many projects to get through, the wife said clean out garage, so.... Here is a cool Vintage Flattrack Racing Bike. This bike is very close to period correct 60s flat track racer. It has a '64 T100SC frame and a '71 T100 Engine. This bike has all the GOOD PARTS that I believe to be from the 60's, Ceriani Trees, Boranni 19" Rims, Betor Forks. Lipp TriCor Fiberglass tank, Barnes Style Quick Change Hub, Barnes 53 tooth Sprocket, rebuilt Hurst Airheart Master Brakes, Grimeca 1000T Calipers with new pads, The seat pan seems more modern with some Taillight Bolts on it for a Street Tracker, newly recovered leather seat, and the Pazon Electric Ignition is definitely modern. Has a brand new Goodyear/Dunlap DT2 Rear flattrack tire, Progressive Rear Shocks, also has brand new Chain. Fuel tank is very clean. Dessert sled style oil tank. decent high pipes. The engine was gone through and cleaned up, bottom end specs seemed good, top end has new rings, honed cylinders, valves gone through by professional machine shop. new springs, valves were good. Was converted to Pazon Electronic Ignition setup with a battery eliminator Sparx Module. Two new 6v Coils. New Wires. Has good spark with battery. The bike needs a few small things to get running. It has good compression and spark. Just needs oil lines run, Rocker cover bolts tightened up, Lot of the parts are just hand tightened bolts and nuts. Tank, Triple Trees, Brake carrier, Brake reservoir, Pegs, Seat, Engine, etc. all just "loose". Needs brake pedal Fabricated. So it shifts and brakes on Right Side (Left foot is on ground through the corners). Kick start return spring jumps off spring peg, may need to be shimmed. Part alone are worth more than Reserve, Don't want to break up this great bike. Could also convert into a Street Tracker or Ice Racer? NO TITLE. BILL OF SALE ONLY Will help with loading and with shipper have had good luck with Uship. Can store for a little while if paid in full. $500 down payment due 3 days from end of auction remainder within a week, unless previously arranged.
