This classic 1939 BSA SilverStar is a great looking bike which runs well, but needs a little work on the transmission. After I purchased it I rode it but found that I could only shift it into first and second and that was uncertain and difficult. I haven't ridden it since. To fix the transmission the shift forks and shift "dog" will need to be replaced. This old bike would make a wonderful historic motorcycle for the right person. It is a 350 and is pretty rare.My cell phone is 334-224-0337. Email is and my website is .

1939 BSA KM23 Silver Star The motor is KM23 790, the frame looks like B 4093 but it is hard to make out, For parts or restoration, sold as is. Was running but has not run in over 10 years. No Title, sold with bill of sale. Local Pick up or buyer arranges shipping. Sold as is, it ran over ten years ago. From my memory the gas tank is not the right tank. The lights ran off the battery so I assume the generator doesn't work. Buyer needs to pay $250.00 at purchase and the rest either certified check or other agreed upon method. All funds must clear before pick-up.

During the 1930s BSA concentrated on producing a range of dependable, well-made, competitively priced motorcycles. The firm’s single-cylinder range was re-designed by Val Page for 1937, the engines taking on many of the characteristics they would retain in the post-war era, most notably dry-sump lubrication, rear-mounted magneto and that distinctively shaped timing cover. There were four new offerings in the 350 class: the sidevalve B23 and a trio of overhead-valve models comprising the B24 Empire Star, the B26 Sports and the B25 Competition model that came equipped for trials use. For 1939 the overhead-valve 350s (either single- or twin-port) were renamed Silver Star. These B-series models lasted until the wholesale revision of the range for 1940, which saw all of them dropped, thus making the Silver Star one of the rarer of 1930s BSAs. The beautiful 1939 Silver Star offered here is a prime example of these bikes. Its details are well illustrated by the many close-up photographs. We cranked and rode the bike upon delivery to us. It started with no difficulty, ran well, shifted through the gears, and operated as we expected. The bike is located in Tallassee, AL 36078. All delivery expense to be paid by buyer. After receipt of full payment we can store the bike in our warehouse for a reasonable time. We will load the bike on your hauler at most any time if you call a day ahead. Payment terms arranged with successful offerer.
