The 1967 model year brought the best to BSA, especially the Spitfire. The previous year (1966) was a good idea and a beautiful motorcycle, but, had deficiencies such as GP carbs (difficult to keep the bike running!). So, the 1967 solved the problems....an outstanding street/performance bike while retaining the beautiful styling. This motorcycle has the best of the model year....polished Borrani rims, home market tank and, of course, the correctly finished 190mm front brake. The motorcycle was completely restored, mechanically and cosmetically. Many NOS parts were used and every part received refinishing/restoration. Take a good look at the pictures. The high quality work was done by Roger Jones of Georgia....his restorations have earned numerous “Best of Show” and "Best of class" awards... and you can see why! Following restoration, the motorcycle was ridden a mere 9 miles and has been kept in climate controlled conditions (in my personal collection) since. It would be difficult to imagine a better restoration of this model. It’s unique beauty puts it in a class with the BSA Rocket Gold Star and other rare BSA motorcycles.
