Vintage 1968 BSA Starfire 250cc motorcycle for sale. Here's your chance to own a piece of original British Steel! Triumph and Norton fans, you need this to complete (or start) your collection! Nobody has these...You will get looks... Comments... Accusations... Yes this is more than a bike, this is living it up! I bought the bike 6 years ago; Pretty sure I'm the 3rd owner. It had been garaged for 30 years untouched near Edwards Air Force base. I brought it to life but didn't fuck it up by doing stupid stuff. Matching frame and engine numbers. Kept the original style but updated the working parts to ensure it ran daily. Just had it serviced, replaced the clutch, and it has a new pazon ignition which means you won't have starting problems. Kick it like you mean it... Rev it up, get the neighbors mad!!! Yes these were notorious for electronic problems, but I fixed that for you. Runs great, almost didn't want to list it, and will even consider throwing in a blue glitter metal flake '70s helmet if you aren't a jerk. Asking 5,000 as you don't see these anymore. I have more than that into restoring the bike so no lo-balls. You may find these on ebay for less but they won't be in California -- you couldn't test drive and would have to pay more for shipping and crazy dmv fees... You don't have to do that with this: the title is clean, the registration is current, and it's ready to go! I'm doing pick up or free local delivery and will accept cash.

I've owned the beautiful little Beeza for several years now and have thoroughly enjoyed owning and riding it but I've got too many machines and need to thin the herd. This is by far the best-running BSA 250 I've ever ridden. With just over 1,400 miles, it runs like new. It starts easily, runs great, it shifts smoothly and precisely, pulls hard through all the gears and I've run it at 70 mph on club rides, keeping up with the big singles and twins, much to their surprise! It's actually as fast as my 441 Victor, and is smoother, easier to start and handles better. The brakes work beautifully, that twin-leading shoe front brake hauling the bike down from speed like a disc! It's a beautiful machine, although not a show bike. There are some nicks, flaws, etc. A couple tiny small cuts in the original seat were filled and are almost invisible. The Dunlop K-70-style tires have very good tread on them but have cracking on the sidewalls. The color scheme and decals really show off the bike's great lines, and I've fitted a Dunstall Decibel Silencer muffler in place of the stock item, which allows the quarter-litre single to breath better, rev higher and run stronger than stock. It also gives it an authoritative "big thumper" sound. If you prefer the stock muffler, I'll switch it back for you. I've ridden it on the All-British Ride out of Hansen Dam here is SoCal a few times and it keeps up with the big bikes and I can slip under them in the corners as it is so nimble and easy handling. This is an ideal classic bike for the beginner to the hobby, for a woman or a shorter rider. Its 18-inch wheels keep the saddle height low enough to place both your feet on the ground at stop lights. Also, the previous owner had fitted turn signals, which actually work! It does add an extra element of safety in traffic and I find myself using them. The photos show the stock Western bars but I replaced them with lower European bars (see last pics from British Run where I'd just completed 110-mile loop through the Angeles Crest Highway). If you prefer the higher bars, I can swap them back for you too. Hard to find a really good 250 BSA out there, and these are getting a lot of attention lately as the 441 singles are up around the $10k mark now for the really good ones. And with just over 1400 miles on the working odometer, it's fresh, strong and reliable. I have the clear title, in my name. Enjoy the pics, ask any questions! ~ Dave

Offered for sale is a BSA A65 Hornet. Ran and gone thru the gears before being stored since the late 1980's. Some parts were rechromed after the bike ran. Bought bike as a basket case. Other parts needed were new wheel bearings front and rear, fork seals, fork boots. Bike frame and other parts were powdercoated. The Hornet is sold as is; without warranty; and without the bike being represented as new off the showroom floor. Clean title. Buyer must supply their own transportation, pay in cash, or certified check and wait for it to clear before bike is released.. $13,000.00
