For sale is a classic BSA Thunderbolt that has been in the family since it was purchased from the factory in the late 1960's. Everything about this BSA is original and it only has 1148 miles with numbers matching from the frame to the engine. Last time this bike was on the road was in 1975, it has been safely stored ever since, and bike has started and ran within the past five years. Mechanically speaking this bike is in good shape, only repairs needed are minor touch up to the chrome trim due to slight pitting, and small rip to side cover of bike. i got this bike in trade for a nice sportster in 2010. this bike was hideous so i stripped it down and made what you see before you. i lost the title and it sat for 5 years, i rode it ocassionally but couldnt title it. then i decided to sell it and was contacted by the previous owner and i now have a clean title! it was titled in 2003 with an aspt title, its listed as a 67 as that was what i was told that the engine was with later model single carb head, and electronic ignition. its a beautiful bike and a real head turner and kicks over pretty easily. heres a good video of the bike. only problems it has is the wrong clutch lever was used and it works but doesnt look good in my opinion and it leaks a little oil sometimes. but you wont find a cheaper nicer bsa around for sure. if your local i may be interested in a trade but would need at least 3k cash on top of the trade. its for sale locally and this may be removed at any time.https://youtu.be/uWhgxWVntIM <------thats a good video of the bike, https://youtu.be/PxdUL7lCLTo <-----thats a nice video of the paint at night

ITEM: 1969 BSA THUNDERBOLT A65TMANUFACTURER: BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS COMPANY / BSA, BIRMINGHAM, ENGLANDYEAR: 1969COLOR: BLACK and SILVERVIN NUMBER: JD 01**3 A65 TMILEAGE: UNKNOWNDESCRIPTION: Offered at auction is ONE (1) NEARLY COMPLETE, BARN FRESH, 1969 BSA THUNDERBOLT! This is the A65T model. Matching frame and engine numbers indicate that this was one of the first 1,300 bikes produced for 1969. Last inspected in 1972! Actual mileage is unknown but identified as less than 9,000 miles when title was reissued in New Jersey in 1988. As shown in the photos, this motorcycle was stored in a barn for the last thirty or forty years. Most of the metal parts are here, but the lights, instruments, shifting mechanism, wires, rubber, and several nuts will need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the motor appears to be seized – although we did not disassemble the engine, the motor will not kick-over when you stand on the kick starter. The bike is rolling, so the transmission appears to be in working order. A great opportunity to obtain a barn-fresh cycle for your next restoration or street racer / café racer project! CONDITION: GOOD in NON-RUNNING CONDITION. Although last licensed in New Jersey in 1972 – the sticker is still on the bike -- this motorcycle comes fresh from a Virginia barn. Wheel spokes and other iron parts have a light coating of pepper rust. There is one small dent, approx. 1/4" wide, located at the front of the left side of the gas tank -- you really have to look for find it. The inside of the tank has a light amount of rust and will require cleaning. Pipe parts and a collection of other small parts, including a fender and a headlight bucket, are included in a parts box that comes with the bike. 1969 BSA Thunderbolt This is a very nice, very original 1969 BSA Thunderbolt. This bikes far exceeds most (unless restored), as it is very original, and very low mileage. This is not your typical tired old bike. I have owned this bike for 3 years and have only ridden it in my neighborhood. I am not a biker but had to buy it because it was so nice. Unfortunately I have let it set in my garage so it has not been ridden, and needs tuning, fluids changed, etc. to be ready to ride. This is a 1971 BSA A65 Thunderbolt 650. It has been sitting in a garage for many years out of use. I bough the bike from the 2nd owner and it comes with a clear title. The speedo shows 8,760 miles. On april 20, 2015 I made sure there was oil in it and I put gas in the tank. It fired up after 3 kicks. for about a minute it smoked badly, then cleared up. Since then I have run it a few times and driven it around the yard with no smoke. It will still need carb work, it leaks gas out of the bowl and is dirty from sitting. The twist throttle mechanism or cable will also need some attention. The slightest turn of the throttle will bring the RPMs way up. The bike shifts through all the gears. This is a great project bike. I am not too familiar with the English bikes, so please ask any questions before bidding and I will do my best to answer them. This bike is being sold as is. I did notice a broken turn signal lens in the front, the right side of the tank is dented around the emblem. the rear loop/fender bracket has a broken off tube of some sort. It looked to maybe be a sissy bar mount? It should be visible in one of the pictures. The right side peg looks to be bent. Remember, it is a 40+ year old motorcycle, it has its fair share of scratches, scrapes and scuffs. Frame # CE02780A65 Motor # CE 05308 A65T I will not make any shipping arrangements.
