When we were younger, we all had a grown-up superhero we wanted to be. But as we got older, we just wanted to be younger. Unlike any of us, when Mike Grieco of Hesperia, California, got older, he started building super-trick “character” bikes. One of the many bikes Grieco and M&F Custom Cycle have built is shown here: Captain America. Mike’s superhero Harley is based on a Daytech frame (stretched 2 inches and raked 38 degrees) that has been molded and powdercoated by JPM in Hesperia. A Daytech swing arm has been shocked and sprung with Progressive coil-overs, and 2-inch-lowered Harley-Davidson forks are held on the frame by polished and anodized red-satin-finish BW Billet triple trees. RC Components wheels (21-inch front and 18-inch rear) hold Metzeler rubber and rotors for the Performance Machine brakes. Daytech fenders hang precariously low over the wheel-and-tire package.
