I present my 1961 Honda CB92, part Malaysian and then Bristish heritage, not complete, but not far from it, as is. Engine has no broken fins evident, engine is not seized. The gas tank has neither dents nor rust inside nor does the seat have any evidence of tears,rips, stains or other defect. Very nice left & right exhaust w/ no rust, not shown are the header pipes which have the baffles. Frame has no cracks, original nearly rust free DID wheels w/ older tires front & back. Straight style handlebars w/ grips, levers, headlight & speedo/rpm gauge. I've shown neither the insect screen nor the steel side covers nor the front fender (British plate on top) as I may need them, shown in the last picture. FEATHERWEIGHT The main target for the KTM engineers when developing the SX models was a massive weight reduction compared to the previous generation. The result: the current SX models are the slimmest, lightest bikes on the track. AIRBOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter while ensuring maximum airflow. The large twin-air filter is mounted in a stiff cage, which at the same time holds the system in place. This design is so simple you could still pop a fresh one in with a face full of mud. Without tools. In seconds. FRAME The high-tech, lightweight chrome-moly steel frame is engineered for excellent handling, precise cornering and supreme stability. You can also count on high torsional rigidity and low longitudinal stiffness for better absorption of the energy created by the front and rear suspension sucking up jumps and bumps. In short: more comfort and less rider fatigue. Laterally attached, lightweight engine head stays contribute to a reduced vibration level. The engineers were able to pull off all that, while making the frame two pounds lighter than that of the lightest competitor on the market. The bike also features an extra-light aluminum subframe, which weighs in at less than 2 pounds. FOOTPEGS Sophisticated ´No Dirt´ footpegs prevent clogging of the footpeg pivot, even when digging in deep ruts. Looking for a higher riding position? Then just mount the footpegs of the MY2017 EXC models, which are 6mm higher than the SX versions. SWINGARM The cast aluminum design offers low weight and a perfect flex behavior. 1999 Suzuki Tl1000 , This has been a great bike - I have used it for commuting the last 3 years, and it has been a real treat to ride. I was looking for some kind of 'real' description, and found this short article, which I hope helps explain the bike a bit as it has been out of production for few years: The late 1990s saw a rash of new V-twin sports machines, spurred by the success of Ducati's 916. Suzuki's first attempt was the TL1000S, a stylish, half-faired sports machine, with a host of innovative technologies. The heart of the TL-S is a liquid-cooled V-twin, which produces a healthy 93kW (125bhp) at 9000rpm. Fairing-mounted ram-air intake scoops feed an advanced fuel-injection system which enhances power and reduces emissions, while a slick, six-speed gearbox delivers the power to a broad 190-section rear tyre. The valve-train design is also unusual, using a mixture of chains and gears to drive the camshafts in order to reduce the size of the cylinder heads. The chassis is unusual. The frame uses an aluminium tube trellis design which combines stiffness with low weight. Upside-down 43mm (1.7in) Kayaba forks are more conventional, but the rear suspension was unique when launched. Rather than use a combined linearspring/damper unit as on most bikes, the TL split the spring from the damper, and used a new rotary damper design. This layout, partly chosen to assist in routing the rear cylinder and exhaust, has been criticized by some experts, although in theory it should offer benefits including reduced friction. The TL1000S received some criticism for its handling, particularly claims that it was susceptible to front-end instability. Suzuki reacted to these claims by adding a steering damper shortly after the bike was introduced, and retro-fitting the damper to customers' bikes. The non-adjustable damper fits above the top yoke, and does calm the steering under hard acceleration, although it makes the steering slightly heavier at low speeds. Despite its strong performance and aggressive character, the TL1000S wasn't a big success for Suzuki. Price discounting did keep sales bouyant in some markets though, and many riders also appreciated the aggressive reputation which the TL had gained through its strong performance and tricky handling. The TL1000S was discontinued in 2002. Very nice condition 1970 Honda SL175 enduro - All Original Condition- Only 1874 miles Last year it had a full tune-up w carb clean oil plugs valves timing muffler repaired etc.. also had -new inner tubes installed in the excellent condition Original tires. Ran and drove perfect- started easy - carburated smoothly- shifted easy - RODE GREAT! I just pulled it out This Year and its hard to start and runs w/ choke on then dies---pretty sure badgas and carbs are gummied up again? There is ZERO RUST IINSIDE OF GAS TANK its Bright clean Metal inside and Looks new! (see pix) SOLD AS-IS - no warranty - you FIX- there is the 45 year old unused toolkit still under the seat!
