On a whim, they designed and built a small dirt bike for one of their kart racing customers. In 1963 the Blendzall company commissioned Van Tech to produce a 100cc race bike for one of their riders. The bike they created swept the class that year solidifying the VanTichelt’s name as one of the best in the biz. Motoexotica is pleased to present this extremely rare 1966 Honda CB160 road racing motorcycle which features a 161cc four stroke twin cylinder engine and a Van Tech racing frame. Bike is also equipped with 4 speed transmission, 24 mm carburetors, ARD magneto ignition, Ceriani road race forks, MJB shocks, CR 93 RR tank and seat, air actuated shifter, full safety wiring, and more. As part of a collection, this bike has been a static display piece for several years and has not been started or run recently. Overall condition is excellent with some patina on original parts but no broken or damaged pieces and parts. This bike is a fantastic piece of motorcycle racing history and is sure to start conversations wherever it sits. Please see our other auction for an equally rare and collectible Honda road racer from 1963! These Hondas were part of an impressive collection that included Yamaha, Kawasaki, Bimota, Suzuki, Norton, Triumph and more. Check our other inventory for more obscure cars & bikes. GET OUT AND RIDE! You are viewing my 1976 CB750F. She's called "Pegasus" and took me over 2 years to build. The donor bike was stripped down and every nut and bolt has been replaced, polished or upgraded in most cases to polished stainless steel Allen bolts. Simply put, no expense was spared on this build, it does not drip any oil. It runs and sounds amazing. It looks way better in person and I have simply nothing left I can possibly do to it. I have receipts inches thick that will be included with the purchase. As an example of how this build has constantly evolved I have just installed in the past few weeks a brand new battery, an APE CAM chain tensioner and spent $250.00 on the Joker Machine shop LED mini turn signals front and rear. Also I switched out the master cylinder for a GSX Nissin and added new GSX adjustable levers. It has under "1000 miles" on a cylinder 900cc "resleeve" not a big bore!..and she is tuned, runs and sounds amazing! This bike is a jaw dropper if you want something no one else has especially if you love the old CB's. I run the bike ever so slightly rich which gives the bike a light vintage sounding burble and popping on deceleration. There are a few little blemishes here and there as it is ridden but there is not a part of this bike that has not been gone through. You really must see this bike to truly appreciate it. Sadly the pictures just do not do this bike any justice. The color is a Chrysler Vanilla with silver and black checkers. It has been about 1 month since the resleeve from the 830cc to the 900cc. I could od rebored but I wanted to do it right so I have a K3 head resleeved with CB900 cylinder sleeves and CB900 pistons. The resleeve has just about 650 miles and the head was done at the same time. The prior head in the photo album is off the prior F2 head and cylinders which was also fully reworked and rebuilt at great expense when the 836cc work was done earlier this year however the F2 head's are notorious for leaks due to their design and one of the threads was compromised in the F2 head it and it had a very minor drip through that compromised thread and it drove me crazy. I could not live with that. Ultimately I decided to replace the cylinders and head to a K3 and rework them both for improved power and long term reliability and "no drip" Now there is no drip of any kind and it runs like a freight train! An expensive proposition but to me I had to have this bike done right with no leaks. I will try to list as much as I can but I know I am forgetting things but by updating this listing I'm sure I have most of everything listed now...its a lot!, also I have about 200+ photos of the build documented and a crappy Youtube video while the bike is cold at high idle. I will try and do a better video with the bike warmed up and better quality with a slower smoother walk around. Link to build Photos: http://s1127.photobucket.com/user/oldroyd/library/CB750F1%20Pegasus%20Custom%20project?sort=6&page=1 Link to Youtube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xVdH2QwQdE&feature=youtu.be Please note: You will notice there is an inconsistency in the photos, this is because I just installed the new Joker machine shop turn signals front and rear, converted the front master cylinder and leavers to GSX which are a "huge" improvement and the new Cylinders were painted black and although you cannot see it I just now added the battery. As I said this bike has constantly evolved as you can see by my photo link.....however as of today there will be no more changes and picture #1 is the final upgrade I wanted to do to make her perfect and now she is in my opinion. Please feel free to ask me questions. Thanks for looking! Powerful 1312cc, 52-degree V-twin engine with a single-pin crankshaft and dual balancers has plenty of torque and the feel only a V-twin can deliver Forget about fidding with a choke - the Fury's new fuel injection system means no-hassle startups on cold mornings or at high altitudes The shaft final drive is quiet, clean, and has been uniquely integrated into the overall design The Fury is one of the most authentic, radically styled custom motorcycle that Honda has ever produced, featuring an ingenious single-shock rear suspension system with an aluminum swingarm A raked-out front and condensed, hard-tail look to the rear end; and a stretched wheelbase. And that long wheelbase is no illusion - the Fury stretches a full 71.2 inches between axles A fat 200-series rear tire is paired with a slim 21-inch front wheel, both wrapped around distinctive alloy wheels A newly designed exhaust system and new camshafts also add to the unique V-twin sound and power-pulse sensations A single powerful 336mm-diameter front disc brake is complemented by a 296mm brake disc in back. An ABS version will also be available The Fury's super-low 26.7-inch seat height is an integral design element that fits in behind the slim and long fuel tank Engine Engine Type: 1312cc liquid-cooled 52° V-twin Induction: PGM-FI with automatic enricher circuit, one 38mm throttle body Compression Ratio: 9.2:1 Bore and Stroke: 89.5mm x 104.3mm Ignition: Digital with three-dimensional mapping, two spark plugs per cylinder Valve Train: SOHC; three valves per cylinder Drive Train Transmission: Five-Speed Final Drive: Shaft Chassis / Suspension / Brakes Front Suspension: 45mm fork; 4.0 inches travel Front Brake: Single 336 mm disc with twin-piston caliper Front Tire: 90/90-21 Rear Suspension: Single shock with adjustable rebound damping and five-position spring preload adjustability; 3.7 inches travel Rear Brake: Single 296 mm disc with single-piston caliper Rear Tire: 200/50-18 Dimensions Rake (Caster Angle): 38.0° Wheelbase: 71.24 inches Curb Weight: 663 pounds (Includes all standard equipment, required fluids and a full tank of fuel ready to ride) Trail: 3.5 inches Seat Height: 26.7 inches Fuel Capacity: 3.4 gallons Other Emissions: Meets current EPA standards.
