1981 Honda CB900. 48,500 miles. My son purchased this to help out a friend and now he would like to sell it. He has no place to store it for the winter. It runs okay and looks decent. There is paint damage on the left side of the tank from overfilling, as shown in the photos. It could use some new tires, and the seat could use some covering. This posting is for a beautiful Honda Motorcycle. It's a CB 900 Custom. These were built 1980-1982 and are an awesome shaft driven machine. This one has been well maintained with no major rust or damage. It has about 23,000 original miles. It comes with a full fairing with storage, highway pegs, backrest and trunk. I will include two Bell helmets (XXL & M). They are both barely worn and in like new condition. I will also include a battery trickle charger, two fairing speakers and an amplifier. I was going to install the stereo so I could hook up my iPod, but just never had the time.This is the perfect bike to enjoy the warm, sunny days ahead!This bike has a clean title. The oil and tires are good. The only thing might need to be done is a new starter. Once it's warm, it starts great, just takes a bit of coaxing when it's cold. This bike is nearly in stock condition. What looks like discoloration in some of the photos is dust and pollen, not corrosion. I didn't clean it prior to taking the pictures. Very little rust and engine starts and runs like it did 30 years ago. The stereo cassette player even works, although I haven't tried putting a cassette into it. As far as I know the only parts on this bike that are not original are the right side glove box and the trunk, as the keys are different than the ignition and saddlebags. Original shocks that still hold air. The saddlebags and trunk still have the elastic bands and they still stretch! Rare 10 speed transmission has a high/low heel shifter to switch between two ranges. Everywhere I go bikers ask how I kept it in such great condition for 30 years. Truth is I only bought this bike in 2012 and have put less than 4,000 miles on it since. The guy I bought it from claims a friend in Pennsylvania had it in his garage for years and finally sold it to him. He sold it to me because his wife didn't like riding anymore. Reason I'm selling is that I have moved up to a newer and larger cruiser and I need the space in the garage. This was my gas friendly commute to work bike when the weather permitted; 40 mpg average. Tons of storage space, holds a full size helmet or fabric briefcase with laptop in saddlebags. Always garaged, would make a great restoration project for a collector. No test rides without cash in my hand. You scratch it you bought it. Comes with TWO SEATS, the stock seat that has been recovered with a sun friendly tan cover, and the king/queen seat in the photos. If your trouser inseam is greater than 32", your knees may hit the faring in the king/queen seat which is why I got the stock seat instead; I am 6'2". The bottle holder is attached to a piece of plywood that I cut to fit the opening, the original plastic is in the trunk. As I said, this is nearly in stock condition.
