It ran well but it's been parked since last September with a loud cam chain noise. Comes with gasket set and cam chain guides. You will have to buy it as-is, I don't want to start it again as the cam chain may slip and bend a valve or worse.

1981 Honda Cb 900F, Thanks for allowing me to join the group....I thought this would most likely be one of the best places to place my beloved 900 for sale...so hopefully someone can become the new caretaker and give it its new home... 1982 CB 900F......One of the best machines Honda ever produced which took Freddie Spencer to the superbike title in the day....This one is something out of the ordinary...I was told when I bought the bike 5 years ago that this had actually had some suspension tuning done on it by the same man who tuned for Spencer at the time, but I never tried to verify that..no matter .....its a neat bike with some really nice parts...I just don't ride it that much any longer and rather than see it sit in my shop,I have decided reluctantly to let it go.41k is on the clock .....Some of the option this bike has is Harris fairing with lowers...Telefix front fork brace, superbike bars..Yoshimura exhaust and I beleive there cams as well..CR carbs, with K+N pod filters....Ohlin's rear shocks....Corbin Seat+tank bag...Runs strong...I have a new set of metzler's that go with it...as well as a shop manual..and I also have a spare 1100 bottom end complete to the tops of the cylinders that can go along with it for a little more money....Appreciating superbike that will never loose it's cool factor or style...currently tagged and title in my name..$2500...707-292-3033Rick ..located in nor cal,95928... $2,500.00 7072923033

This is an all original, excellent running condition Honda CB900F Supersport. It has new tires and a new Battery. Stock exhaust, chain, sprockets, brakes, etc....no visible wear! No need to replace, as they are all like new! Everything has been checked, all fluids replaced. Everything is stock. There is a very small dent in the tank and tank has very small scratches - hardly visible. NO rust in tank. Garaged. As far as I know I am the 2nd Owner. I bought this bike a couple summers ago, it now has 6826 original miles on it. Clear title in my name. My bike rides like brand new even though it's 33 years old. This was a muscle bike when it came out and still accelerates like a slingshot under throttle. Own a piece of history that turns heads where ever you go. Sorry I don't have more pictures, the bike is in storage. Also included is a Corbin seat which lowers seat height by a couple of inches. I will work with you and a shipping Company to have it delivered to you, or better yet, fly into O'Hare airport (I'll pick you up, and drive it home. The CB900F's design was aimed at European markets, rather than the usual focus on the United States, and it was not imported into the US until 1981. In Europe, it was known as the Bol D’Or, after theBol d'Or endurance race. Honda's advertising at the time proclaimed the bike, "A thundering Super Sports bike with devastating performance and an unwavering stamina that will be setting the pace for many years to come." The CB900F uses a 901 cc (55.0 cu in) four-cylinder DOHC engine, essentially the same as in the Honda CB900C, and sharing many components with the Honda CB750 engine, differing mainly in a square 62 mm × 62 mm (2.4 in × 2.4 in) bore x stroke. The 901 cc (55.0 cu in) engine. The CB900F was a high-performance motorcycle that built on the racing success of the DOHC CB750F. The CB900F produces 95 bhp (71 kW) @ 9000 rpm and uses a five-speed transmission and chain final drive. The twin downtube steel frame was conventional in design, but very strong. The strengthened frame, along with the improved suspension design made the CB900F, "arguably the best Honda had build for the street," perhaps one of the first Hondas ready to challenge European motorcycles not just in engine output but in handling. It uses two front disc brakes and one rear, all outfitted with dual-piston calipers The air-assisted fork was upgraded with the Honda TRAC (torque reactive anti-dive control) anti-dive system in 1982. To that end they even gave the European CB900 an oil cooler as standard equipment'. . Includes: His and Hers Cobin Seat Service Records Available Motorcycles Retro/Classic 8392 PSN . Neither is it a road-sport model though it was directly derived from one of the most sporting motorcycles Honda has ever made for sale to the public. According to our sources at American Honda the 900 wasn't intended for the touring rider yet it definitely has some of a touring bike's attributes. an item not usually necessary in America where the law's admonition to "cool it" tends also to keep oil temperatures low. the CB900 has an interesting lineage. Honda opened the 750's bores from 62 to 64.5 millimeters stretched its stroke (also 62mm) to 69mm and thus increased its displacement to 902 cubic centimeters. the bike got its drive shaft along with many added pounds and a greatly lengthened wheelbase. 1981 Honda CB 900 Custom 1981 Honda CB 900 Custom (CB900C) "Oh do not ask 'What is it ' Let us go and make our visit." T.S. That was not to be. the only thing it clearly is is a marketplace competitor for the Suzuki GS850 and Yamaha XS850; on that basis shall it be judged by us and everyone. . It was initially a bored and stroked version of the 16-valve CB750F made for the European market and introduced there last year. Europe's CB900s are chain driven and Honda wanted a shaft-drive model to slip into the broad product gap between the GL1100 and CX500 shafties. We'll admit that we'd have been well pleased if Honda had decided to fit the European CB900 with DOT lighting EPA carburetion and sent it here without making another change. So to borrow from the beer commercial the Americanized CB900 gives you more and less: more civility less performance. They made the stroker crank's webs thicker lengthened the block and rods upped the intake and exhaust valve diameters by 1.0 and 0.5mm respectively and added five degrees of duration at the cam lobes' opening sides. Eliot Two Owner Bike! Honda's cb900 custom is a bit of an enigma to us and perhaps even to its creators. And despite having officially been designated a "custom " the CB900 isn't quite that either. There were other performance-related changes as well because what Honda wanted (and by all accounts succeeded in making) was a super-sport motorcycle capable of holding its own on Europe's no-speed-limit highways...

Beautiful GPz550. The photos speak for themselves. They were taken July 31 2015. I can deliver the Kawasaki to Blaine, Washington, or to a dealer in Bellingham, Washington. The carbs will need to be cleaned, and it needs a fresh battery. Tires are brand new and have fewer than 10 miles on them. Reason for selling: Changing health, and too many motorcycles (28) to care for and enjoy fully. I worked on the editorial staff of motorcycle magazines back in the day, and love motorcycles of all different varieties. I am NOT a dealer. I bought this GPz, along with all my other motorcycles, for my own pleasure and to ride. I'd rather see someone else enjoy them rather than have them languish in my garage. In a couple of weeks I will also be listing for sale: 1975 Honda CB400F (nicely restored)1966 Ducati Diana (pristine)1984 Honda CB1100F2012 Ducati Panigale Tricolore S (700 miles)2012 Kawasaki ZX14 (1200 miles)1989 Honda Hawk GT650 (900 miles)1990 Bimota YB (1000 miles)2006 Harley Davidson V-Rod Destroyer (never run) (and for those car lovers, a 1986 Porsche Turbo slantnose with 31,000 original miles) You may call me at 360.945.7777. This bike started out as a nice stock '82 Honda CB750 K. It came to me in less than working order, needing some work to the head. I immediately stripped it apart and rebuilt the bike with some fun extras. The motor was disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt, eventually being replaced all together, with a rebuilt SuperSport motor from an '81 CB750F. I tore apart every nut and bolt, polished all I could, and customized every mount and tab on the bike. I personally did all the build work, and CNC'd many parts to create this very unique one off bike. The fender is a solid piece of Morgan Hill grown walnut cut on my CNC then fiber-glassed and shot with a UV protective Poly finish. It's bullet proof! The gas tank is stock paint, and holds 5.3 gallons. The electronics are run through a unique central relay CPU called the M-Unit. Please refer to the manufacturer's web page for details. It's a central hub for all the electrical, taking care of the momentary push-buttons, ignition, and alarm system. Yes, Alarm system...! I milled custom push button housings for the controls, and created a minimalist look with a very utilitarian functionality. The custom gauges are rubber mounted on a CNC'd mount, and the bike has seen over 4,000 miles now. It's fast, and sounds incredible. The exhaust is a Mac 4-1 header, and the connector is custom formed to a prototype Cone Engineering exhaust with an 18" straight core minimal baffle. It's comfortable and good looking. I keep this bike indoors and under cover. I can't go anywhere without getting tons of attention on this bike. It turns heads while on the road, and it brings people out of the woodwork at stops. It's totally trouble free, and will quickly prove that you can take it anywhere. I've had it on long straights for distance travel, and on the curves for fun. It's also equally at home on dirt roads. It does beautifully with anything you throw at it, and is a TON of FUN to ride! The rebuilt and Dyno- jetted carbs are incredibly responsive. The Brat style posture makes the turns aggressive and fun, while keeping you up enough that you're ready for anything on the backroads. There are countless more parts that I have put on or customized for this bike, and I can't seem to list all the mods or parts and their stories here. I have the entire build documented with photos and diagrams. All the documentation as well as the drawings and manuals come with the bike upon its sale. The bike has current registration, and is insured. I also have the second pink slip for the new motor. I ride it regularly, but do not commute on it. I'm selling the bike because I run a private business, and my business could use the influx of capitol for some new endeavors. You'd be helping me grow my business and create a job for a new employee, as well as getting a really exciting bike to ride. If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you. No test rides though unless you're serious (ie.- cash in hand!). Emails are free, and I'd love to hear from any truthfully interested persons. Please don't waste my time with lowball offers.I'll also entertain any custom work that you may want or need for your own bike, if you see something in this bike that you like. I continue to do work to this bike and keep it really clean. I also take very detailed care of the maintenance on this bike, to keep it in perfect riding condition. Since these pictures have been taken I have done more work to it. More covers have been polished, and several more parts have been installed. Thanks for looking and considering. Here's a short list of the parts and work put into the bike.Barnett clutch springsCB750 F Rebuilt motor and O-ring chainDynoJet Stage 1 & 3 carb kitK&N Pod FiltersMac 4 into 1 header, with custom exhaust and Prototype Cone Engineering mufflerRenthal HandlebarsCustom made AL mounts all over the bike- ie. Shorter headlight brackets and custom gauge mountsCustom momentary push button controlsM-Unit electronic central CPUNew Regulator, Starter Solenoid, and lightsCustom wood fender and matching electrical boxCustom seat Specialized LED gaugesMicro MirrorsAntiGravity Motorcycle BatteryUSB charger for charging your GPS or mobile phone.I also have in my possession a set of CB900F CAMs. This would be a nice drop in addition to the motor, if you ever wanted to Hot-Rod it any more. I've found that it's pretty fast and very strong as it is, but adding the 900 cams would really give it some extra pull and a cool sound. These come with the bike, and you can have someone add them when and if you decide you need them installed. Unfortunately E-Bay wont let me include the important links to my hosting pages that show more of the bike, so you'll have to do a bit of navigating, Here are some things you may want to check out... If you'd like to see what kind of work I do please visit my website- toddcreatedwood dot comAnd for some of the photos of the bike's build visit my Blog:toddcreatedwood dot blogspot dot comI also have some videos on YouTube of this bike and it in action.
