I am listing a highly modified "John Reed/Custom Chrome V-bike". These bikes were sold in a kit out of custom chrome in 2005 and cost $20000 just for the kit, which did not include assembly paint or any of the modifications that have been done. These are extremely rare motorcycles and less than a 100 of the promised 500 were actually manufactured and there are less than 5 on the westcoast. I have seen 3 of these bikes in stock form for sale between $18,000 to $25,000. Beyond this being an amazing bike to start, it has been modified with top of the line ohlins forks, polished paul smart ducati gt1000 triple trees and fairing, lightweight aluminum alloy wheels, rearsets from a ducati, dual rear exit exhaust, high lift cams, port and polished stage 4 heads, 45mm mikuni flatslide, high compression pistons, brembo brakes brembo hand controls and master cylinders, new 485 cold cranking amp battery to turn of monster 110", compression releases, upgraded transmission internals and gearing, custom shift linkages for rear sets, custom seat, custom tank, custom tail section. This bike would cost you more than double than my asking price to build. Not only is this bike insanely fast and pretty much built for speed, it handles really really well due to the santee featherbed frame that you cannot buy and was only produced for this kit. This is possibly the nicest EX 500 Ninja in the world. The frame...swingarm...front forks...wheels...triple trees and handlebars...kickstand and center stand as well as the windscreen have all been chrome plated...the fairings and tank are gloss black. The bike has almost 33,000 miles...but only 10,000 on the motor. The motor has been updated with 2nd gen CCT and 2nd gen flywheel...runs like a champ. The bike is fitted with gold valve emulators in the forks and an SV650 shock in the rear...all bearings ( wheel...steering...swingarm ) have been replaced with all balls bearings in the last 5000 miles. The bike is fitted with a custom Corbin seat and Sarachu exhaust canisters... This is an easy to ride bike and is great for beginners as well as seasoned riders...insurance on this bike is cheap. This bike is sold as is...In great riding condition...i would not be the least bit affraid to jump on it and ride it coast to coast and back....and by the way...yes...the Corbin seat is comfortable enough to do that.
