1999 CMC Chopper, titled as Indian (they purchased CMC). Bike is a Hardtail, has a nice ripped asphalt paint scheme. S&S motor and carb, Primo Rivera primary, Barnett clutch, Santee pipes, solid wheels, Accutronix extended forward controls, HD skull triple trees, all braided lines. Lots of Accutronix parts/covers/grips. All fluids recently replaced. I have put misc stickers on the rear fender to cover some misc. scratches/wiring holes. Bike in nice shape, I would have the starter relay replaced, doesn't always work, just use the starter button if handlebar starter doesn't work. Rear tire could use replacement. Really nice chopper

A custom CMC Indian, built in 1999 in conjunction with Evel Knievel, Harrah's Casino and CMC Indian Cycles in Kilroy California. The bike is one in a series of "American Daredevil Series" the original idea was to build 100 of these bikes in this series, however squabbles between the partners over how to split the money stopped production at only six. This is believed to be number one of six. This bike was delivered to the casino and displayed over a group of slots, the winner won the bike. The Winner of this bike had no interest in motorcycles so it was sold to a custom facility in Arkansas, which is where we purchased this bike. On one side of the tank, is a mural of Evel jumping the fountain at Caesar's Palace, on the opposite side of the tank is a mural of his crash landing. The top of the tank has both 500 and 1000 dollar bills under the clear coat. there are other locations on the bike that actual playing cards have been placed under the clear coat. The Engine used on this bike is manufactured by S & S Motors which is an 88 Cubic Inch. most of the 46 miles on the bike have been put on by Evel riding at the casino. This bike has only been used for display and to place in bike show. I have had it serviced once a year, and changed out all fluids. All maintenance on this bike has been done locally at the Harley dealer. I have several autographed photos of this bike, as it was delivered by Evel to the Casino and a black and white autographed photo of his jump of the fountains. This is an incredible one of a kind bike. it has always been stored in conditioned air.

gregscustomcycles Store This “Captain America” Motorcycle was a factory built bike made by CMC “California Motorcycle Company”. Only produced one year in 1999 and endorsed by Peter Fonda Himself these rare bikes are seldom ever seen and very few are ever for sale. This one is a documented two owner bike with only 79 actual miles on it! It spent its entire life in the original owners living room! Still new in every way with no deterioration on the bike, chrome parts, nuts and bolts, etc. It looks as new as the day it rolled of the showroom floor. The bike is documented with the Letter of Authenticity, Matching Helmet signed by Peter Fonda. The bike is ready to ride and drive if so desired. You will probably never see another one for sale with as low of miles as this one. This Captain America in #105 of 750 Produced. Although there was supposed to be a total of 750 made, the actual number is much less than that as “CMC” turned into Indian Motorcycles in 1999 and thus were focusing on building the all new Indians from them on. All motorcycles were built in Gilroy, California. Factory Specifications include: S&S 88 Cubic Inch Super Stock Motor “Panhead” Style Rocker Covers 5-Speed Transmission Belt Driven Rigid Frame Powdercoated Motor and Frame Extended Billet Forward Controls Billet Triple Trees 4 Piston Billet Calipers with CMC logo Peanut Tank Chrome Fenders Captain America Seat Braided Steel Brake Lines Fishtail Exhaust System Chrome Oil Bag Single Round Mirror Chrome Lifter Blocks 12” Ape Hangers 16” Wheels Rear 40 Spoke 21” Front 40 Spoke wheel 10” Over Rocket Legs. The History: When Indian Motorcycle Company began operations again in 1999, they purchased California Motorcycle Company (CMC) in Gilroy, CA. The first year they built the Chief Model primarily, however, CMC had a stock of around 100 hand built customs. Indian finished these motorcycle under the Indian Brand and sold them in 1999. These Indian models included the Wander (Later became the platform for the Spirit), Road Warrior and Street Burner. These models are hand built and very rare. This bike is a 1999 Indian Wander, with 88 ci S&S engine, 5 speed trans, custom billit alluminum wheels, shift levers and brakes. The Indian emblems are hand made ceramic, (I have the matching tank emblems, included) I didn't put them on because I couldn't bring myself to cover the custom flame paint. It has 11/4" handlebars, chrome levers, switches, Indian Teardrop Head light, quick release saddle bags and windshield, custom Indian point cover, license plate trim and console cover. I took my one last trip on her in June (about 2,200 miles). Before the trip I did a 5K service, new brake pads and chrome rotors, new battery, new tires, new starter and new Thunderheart ignition module totaling about $3,200.00. The bike is not perfect but it's close. It listed for around $24K new. I hate to see her go but knee and back injuries dictate otherwise. The speedometer shows just over 4K, I replaced it last fall, I have the old speedometer showing just over 8k = True Mileage 12k and change. I will pay for shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states with the Buy It Now price only. Otherwise shipping is the buyers responsibility! I also will accept the first reasonable offer immediately upon receiveing it and will end the auction early. This is a rare beautiful motorcycle with lots of power!!!!!!!

1999 California Motorcycle Company CMC (Indian) Streetburner.  S&S Motor and S&S carb, 5 speed transmission. Hardtail bike with solid front and rear wheels, all braided lines, Accutronix: grips, mirrors, air cleaner cover, trans, derby, etc. covers, and 3" extended forward controls, and Accurtronix / Wilwood performance calipers front and rear.  Harley Davidson skull theme triple trees installed. Santee 50 caliber pipes with baffles installed. I have the original triple trees and standard forward controls and will include if you choose to install them.  Barnett clutch, and I was told it is a Primo Rivera primary.  Accel ignition. CONDITION NOTES: - Brand new Interstate battery installed 6/21/15. - Starts fine, runs fine/smooth, rides out fine, no issues. - Clutch engages/disengages fine, transmission shifts fine in all gears. - Front rim is heavier than a "standard" typical wheel, it is billet aluminum. - Electrical system fine/alternator charging fine, rear brake light sometimes finicky about coming on when activated by front brake lever - Rear tire has some rubber missing, should be replaced but is rideable. - Bike frame and metal have minor scratches, dings, etc, representative of the mileage and age.  The rear fender had scratches and other marks from a passenger riding on it, I have put misc. biker stickers on their to cover and it looks great, but there are some scratches/paint rub there.  Small crack in center of fender I had welded up, looks fine. - I would recommend having someone go through the wiring and do some miscellaneous clean-up. - Some minor misc. chrome pitting in some small areas on a few pieces, once again MINOR / MISC. Extreme Skins custom skin and leather seat, bike will come also with a Lepera seat. Contact me with any questions, can provide more pictures : [email protected]

Trade inquiries are welcome. Don't miss out on this low mile collectible Indian Chief!! Indian (motorcycle) Factory Information and History Indian is an American brand of motorcycles originally manufactured from 1901 to 1953 by a company in Springfield MA, US, initially known as the Hendee Manufacturing Company but which was renamed the Indian Motocycle Manufacturing Company in 1928. The Indian factory team took the first three places in the 1911 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. During the 1910s Indian became the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world. Indian's most popular models were the Scout, made from 1920 to 1946, and the Chief, made from 1922 to 1953. The Indian Motocycle Manufacturing Company went bankrupt in 1953. A number of successor organizations have perpetuated the name in subsequent years, with limited success. In 2011 Polaris purchased Indian Motorcycles and relocated operations from North Carolina, merging them into existing facilities in Minnesota and Iowa. Since August 2013, three motorcycle models that capitalize on Indian's traditional styling have been built under the Indian name. Indian Motorcycle Company of America (1999-2003) The Indian Motorcycle Company of America was formed from the merger of nine companies, including manufacturer California Motorcycle Company (CMC) and IMCOA Licensing America Inc., which was awarded the Indian trademark by the Federal Court in 1998. The new company began manufacturing motorcycles in 1999 at the former CMC's facilities in Gilroy, CA.. The first "Gilroy Indian" model was a new design called the Chief. Scout and Spirit models were also manufactured from 2001. These bikes were initially made with off-the-shelf S&S engines, but used the 100-cubic-inch (1,600 cc) Powerplus engine design from 2002 to 2003. The Indian Motorcycle Corporation went into bankruptcy and ceased all production operations in Gilroy on September 19, 2003 Polaris Acquisition (since 2011) In April 2011, Polaris Industries, the off-road and leisure vehicle maker and parent-company of Victory Motorcycles, announced its intention to acquire Indian Motorcycle. Indian's production facilities were moved to Spirit Lake, Iowa, where production began on August 5, 2011. In March 2013, Indian unveiled their new 111 cubic inches (1.82 L) "Thunder Stroke" engine, and began to sell their newly designed motorcycles based on it in August 2013. Current production On August 3, 2013, Polaris announced three all-new Indian-branded motorcycles based on the traditional styling of the marque and the Thunder Stroke 111 motor. The motor has a triple-cam design with a chain-driven center cam turning front and rear cams via gears, permitting parallel placement of the pushrods to give a similar appearance to older Indian designs. It is air cooled, with large traditional fins and an airbox in the cast aluminum frame. All Indians share this aluminum frame design, though the wheelbase and front end rake vary depending on model. The integrated transmission is also gear-driven. WE DO REQUIRE A $500 DEPOSIT VIA CREDIT CARD OR CASH IN PERSON WITHIN 24 HOURS AUCTION OR LISTING CLOSE. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL.
